1 Secret Garden Layout 3 Ways!

It's so much fun to catch a glimpse into the creative process and how a page is created and enhanced along the way. Today I am sharing a masculine page created in three ways for you featuring the Secret Garden collection.

Hello Spring Scrapbook Page by Rhonda Van Ginkel

I started my page with the more neutral background pattern paper in the collection called "Vineyard". The photo here is framed using the coordinating Chipboard frame. Using a bit of Gold Foil Dot Washi Tape and some Noteworthy die cuts, this very simple first page was created.

Next, I added in some pretty elements that I cut using our Nested Terrific Tag, Ornate Doilies and Love Squared Dies. I created my doily flower by using two cuts from the smallest Ornate Doilies of the "Bloom" pattered paper, shaped them gently and set aside. The rolled floral center was created by cutting one of the "Trellis" circle designs.

Confession time, I hardly ever visualize a project start to finish, I never know what will happen when I sit down to create. After looking at this page, it felt as though it needed more depth or layers and texture.

The first thing that I did was to add some interest with some homemade texture paste (Gabrielle Pollacco's Recipe) applied this through the Kaleidoscope Stickable Stencil. While still in place, on top of that, I applied a bit of Blueberry Glitter Paste. I liked the similar nature of the repeating pattern compared to the base paper.

Next, I applied a bit of our White Gesso using a dry brush to the layer of the Ornate Doily that is under the Noteworthy scalloped circle.

I really wanted to keep the printed patterned paper design in tact on the right side of the base paper, so I came in an inch and cut out a one inch vertical strip. I then cut the edges a bit wavy, spritzed with water and rolled them. I came up a bit short, so I ripped another piece and attached it to the left. It all measured out nicely to 12 inches and I was happy.

I added a bit of blue thread under the Noteworthy Bird and added one of the Layered Chipboard pieces under the sentiment. When I found the small "Easter" sticker in the Combo Sticker sheet, I tucked it in above the title. The Tear It tape from Imagine Crafts was perfect for adhering my intricate pieces! It made it so easy!

1 Layout 3 Ways with Secret Garden!

Hi There BoBunny Fans :)

Today I wanted to show you a layout using the gorgeous purplelicious Secret Garden :)  in three different styles.

Sometimes I feel like my projects just aren't done.   Even when I think they're finished I can still look at them and think they still need something but can't decide what.  And sometimes in those situations I might leave it alone for awhile, and then go back to it.  I had one of those moments with this layout.

To start with, I cut out a selection of circles from the Greenhouse paper and arranged them from top to bottom along my base piece of paper.  This version could be finished as it is.  But lets go a bit further :)

I decided I wanted to carry on with my circle theme, so I cut some of the gold circle rubons out and applied those.  I then added some Grape Glitter Paste using a Stickable Stencil.  This gave a bit more interest and flow to the page but I thought it needed something more.

In the last version, I added some word stickers and outlined them in black pen, layering one of them with chipboard.  I also added chipboard to the circular die cut and under the photo, which has given the page much more depth and interest.

Now I really thought this layout was finished.  But I kept looking at thinking it just wasn't popping, so I went back to it.  What really springs to mind is those circles looked like they were blending into the paper not popping out.  So my final step?  Outlining the paper circles in a black fine tip marker! Simple but effective!  And now Im happy :)

Foil Transfers & Secret Garden Layout

Friends are the family we choose for ourselves. Let me introduce you then to my sister Charmaine.

She is the sweetest, intelligent, kind and  beautiful person, inside and out.

She is Mrs South Africa Semi - finalist , loves people and animals, works for charity and helped hundreds of dogs and cats. No wonder people love her.

I  chose lovely and colorful collection, Secret Garden to match...her dress :). One feather and green heart was supposed to match mine.

My chipboard heart was painted with white gesso by BoBunny and then with acrylic paint.

As you know there is a big choice with Foil Transfers - check HERE  to see, I used Accents Copper on my page.

Bubble Gum and Blush was my choice when it's came to Glitter Paste.

Elegant Border Die gave nice touch to my page.

Fussy Cutting with Secret Garden was lot's of fun , aspecially with birds!

Misc Me Joy!

It's Romy here on the BoBunny blog today. Today  I will share some of my latest Misc Me creations with you. As you may know, I'm using Misc Me to create a 'book of joy', filled with happy memories to all kinds of special moments throughout the year. For my March Misc Me pages I wanted to document my favourite season, spring.

I used the wonderful Secret Garden collection to create these pages, together with the Journal Contents from the Calendar Girl collection. 

For some extra interest, I used the heart stencil from the Love Stickable Stencil set with some Rose Gold glitter paste on one of the cards. I also used some chipboard embellishments to decorate some of the cards. 

On the Calendar Girl journal page, I journaled about the things I love about spring: the sunshine, the fact that the days are becoming brighter and longer again and the flowers and blossoms. 

I also used a photo of me and my mom on one of the pages. I embellished it with a chipboard embellishment and some buttons from the Secret Garden Buttons package.

Let's have a party! I'll bring the banner to put up on the wall.

I have used the sweet Secret Garden collection for this project. I added some beautiful silver foil transfer.

I cut triangles of Double Dot card stock and some of the patterned papers.

 

On each banner I added a square die cut and a butterfly die cut.

 

I also added some silver foil transfer in different design on each.

 I used a Pearlescent on the butterfly die cut.

Secret Garden Party Favors!

Hello BoBunny fans! It's Irene here. Are you all planning for any Spring parties? If yes, you've come to the right place. Today, I'm going to share with you all two little projects which you can easily create for your Spring parties.

I've used the gorgeous "Secret Garden" collection by BoBunny to create these projects.

Party Hat and Bag by Irene Tan

I've created a party hat for the host of the party and also a small party bag using this beautiful collection.

Here are some details on the party hat.

Besides this collection, I've also used the doodle blooms stamp set to decorate this party hat. If you have the time, you could also create tons of these hats for all the lady guests of your party. For this hat, I've done it a little different from the usual top hat design. I've left the top of the hat open and create a little garden in it.

And here are the details on the party bag.

I've kept the design of this party bag very simple. This way, it is very easy for me to create tons of it to put the party favors in for the guests.

Off The Page With Secret Garden!

It's Romy here today and I would like to show you a notebook that I altered with the gorgeous Secret Garden papers and embellishments and the brand new 'Birds of a Feather' stamp set.

I covered the front side of the notebook with a few sheets of paper and several Noteworthy die-cuts. I also attached a Layered Chipboard sticker to the cover for some extra dimension. By using both a die-cut bird from the Noteworthy package and a chipboard bird, I managed to make it look like a pair of love birds.

I didn't want the inside pages of the notebook to look boring either, so I stamped several feathers on the pages inside the notebook. I stamped some feathers directly on the pages and some of them were stamped on patterned paper and were then cut out. 

The back side of the notebook was decorated with the same papers as the front side. I also added two Noteworthy glitter die-cuts as a finishing touch.
