"Beginner"

Greetings and welcome to the blog today, it's Wednesday and that means the project for today is one scrapbook page created in three degrees of difficulty. My page for today features our new "Tis The Season" holiday collection. It has wonderful classic designs and fun elements.

To create the "Beginner" page, I started by tearing a few strips from a few of my favorite papers and then layered them on the left to create an anchor for my photo. Next, trimmed one of the bingo cards, distressed the edges and crumpled it up for texture. To finish, the matted photo is added and also a sentiment selected along with a few embellishments from the Noteworthy contents.

"Intermediate"

To build the intermediate page, I began by stitching around the border of my page, distressed the edges a bit by working them with my fingers. I then adhered to the top of "Traditions" paper which is a rich dark red color. I liked the contrast of the red peeking out here and there on the border edges.

I knew I wanted to add some Glimmer Spray splatters in Frost and Sugar so I prepped my paper with White Gesso on top of the strips and worked in a triangular pattern to my photo focal point.

Once dry, I added splatters, layering some on top of each other to drip. Sporadically I included a bit of Silver Foil Transfer in Filagree and Accents. A bit more zig zag stitching was done and I left the loose thread tails for texture. I also added a bit of ribbon to anchor my title work.

"Advanced"

To build a bit more interest and detail from the intermediate page, I selected a few stamps and additional Noteworthy items, such as the candy cane, gift, hanging ornament and string of lights.

I also added a bit of drywall texture tape I had laying around on my desk and tucked it under the photo on the right after I had stamped and before I adhered the snowman, poinsettia and string of lights.

To accent my string of lights, of course I had to use some Double Dot Jewels in Citrus, Emerald, Ruby Red and Tuxedo. I tucked in a few die cuts using the "Lovely Leaf" dies under the Poinsettia Noteworthy element. A Double Dot Brad in Tuxedo is used to anchor the hanging ornament.

The final touch for this page was the little red bow which I anchored on my photo at the top left, below the tab. I accented with a small Ruby Red Dot Jewel.

Firecracker Mixed Media Layout!

Greetings, I am so excited to share with you my page today featuring the Firecracker collection accented with Pearlescents and other mixed media. I have used the "Oh My Stars" Stickable Stencil and the Sugar Pearlescents to accent the star shapes within the patterned paper here, as well as my Laser Cut Chipboard title.

Every Fourth of July we visit the same local place to watch the fireworks display. It has become a tradition for the boys to bring along a light up toy of some sort so they can entertain themselves while they wait. Last year we were playing quite a while until it dawned on me that I had not captured any photos! I'm so glad that even if the quality isn't perfect, you can at least still see some fireworks in the one photo background.

To create my textured effect for my Laser Cut Chipboard title, I first applied some Sugar Pearlescents on the chipboard using a craft mat underneath.

Once evenly applied, I coated a layer of white pearl embossing powder on top, then shook off the excess and used my heat embossing gun to emboss.

I like the extra texture and interest that it added to the Laser Cut Chipboard. Next, I used Brilliant Blue Pearlescents on the Trellis Tag behind it, but I let the pretty shine from the Pearlescents finish the tag.

I stamped a bit and randomly splattered Glimmer Spray in Gold, Sugar and Frost. I then added a few of the Silver Foil Transfers to add a bit of sparkle and shine. A few Dot Jewels were added to some of my embellishments as an accent.

Celebrate Charger Plate!

Greetings and welcome to Sunday Sunday here on the blog. I have a fun project to share with you featuring one of our new Glitter Paste colors, Emerald.

To begin, I found this charger plate at my local craft store for $1.99. It's a clear coated plastic plate. I wanted to create a celebration plate, so thought I would try creating one with my BoBunny supplies!

Disclaimer: This is meant only to layer under your typical dinnerware as a decoration, not ever to be eaten from or washed in the dishwasher.

Using the new Fanciful Stickable Stencil design in oval, I accented each of the scallops with the Emerald Glitter Paste. I thought it really made a pretty design!

Next, I cut each of my alphas from the Silver Foil Transfer package of Alphabets. Once they were all cut out, I marked a quarter inch line beneath each letter for alignment guides.

I began by centering the "b" in the middle of the scallop, then rubbed it on. I continued with the rest of my alpha's until completed.

Once I had the sentiment on the plate, I felt as though it needed just a bit more of an accent, so I added a few flourishes from the Filagree Silver Foil Transfer set. It added just the right amount of whimsy that I was hoping for.

We have a fun family event to share soon and I am excited to introduce the Celebrate honor plate to the kids!

Toy Box Gift Bag!

What a fun collection Toy Box is! It is perfect for creating fun party themed items for children. I don't know about you, but I really like to have gift packaging ready and on hand at our home. One thing that I like to do as a crafter is purchase plain gift bags in kraft or white paper so I can personalize. We also save bags and re-purpose them too.

For my project today I selected the "Pretend" pattered paper with the airplanes for my base layer. I trimmed the paper to size, then stitched around it with my sewing machine. Then I applied a few of our Silver Foil Transfer randomly.

Next, I cut a Nested Terrific Tag from the Recess paper in the middle size, then using the same papers, cut a Twinkle Twinkle from it. I trimmed a section, then adhered to the tag as an accent. I added a small sliver bell and tied the tag with some plain white string to the bag handle.

I found the sweet little owl journaling card on the Blocks paper and applied the Sentiments Silver Foil Transfer to it. Next, it was layered with the Cheerful yellow stripe. I tucked the red Noteworthy tab behind the top, then adhered a small doily to the back. I cut out the blocks from the Imagine paper. Attach that to the bag, then add the small airplane with foam adhesive and place the button on the window.

One of the many things that I love about crafting is being able to personalize a gift in a way that makes it unique or special.
