Mix It Up!

Do you have a favorite Bo Bunny collection?  I know I do, and like you, I admit that I tend to stick with one collection when creating my scrapbook pages, cards and other projects.  It's easy to do when Bo Bunny creates so many wonderfully coordinated embellishment to go with each collection.  But let's stop and consider what might happen if you tried to mix it up a bit.  Take a look at paper and embellishments from various Bo Bunny collections that you have in your stash.  Take the time and study them a bit. Look for colors and patterns that coordinate with each other.  Think outside the theme that each collection might have.  Look at the colors and patterns again.  You will find that many of them cross over really well with each other.  Yes, this will require you to think outside the box a bit, but the results can be stunning.  Today our Bo Bunny designers have created layouts by mixing up various Bo Bunny collections and they have succeeded in creating some rather inspiring projects to share with you today.

First up Tomoko combined Forever Fall, Blitzen, Et Cetera and Garden Girl.  She choose colors and patterns as well as embellishments that helped her tell the story behind the photo of her and her gorgeous daughter.  This is an everyday photo and she used fall and Christmas products to tell her story.  Simply amazing!

The next layout was created by Christiane.  She too used a great mix of collections.  She incorporated Garden Girl, Vicki B., Timepiece, Zoology and Et Cetera.  Again, she choose products whose colors and patterns coordinated well.  She used a wonderful combination of pinks, greens, white, cream and brown to offset the black and white photos of her son laughing hysterically.

The next layout we have to share today was created by Mirielle.  She used a combination of Ad Lib, Blast Off, Barefoot & Bliss and Welcome Home.  Again she looked through her stash and put together patterns and colors that coordinated to help tell the funny story of her son being called a train by his little sister!

The final layout we have to share today is from Samantha.  Look closely and you will see that she has combined Cambridge and Garden Girl! More Than Four!

Hi everyone, today we have another segment featuring layouts using multiple photos, more than 4 photos to be exact!   We have had a number of requests for multi photo layouts so we hope these will give you some ideas and we also have our Two Page layout day on Wednesday next week so don't forget to come back and check that post for some more ideas for multi photo layouts!

Chipboard : 12" Chipboard/Barefoot & Bliss

Designer Tip :  If you find trying to include a lot of photos on a page difficult, try working in blocks or grid patterns filling any spaces with titles, embellishment squares or journaling.   If I want to include a few photos on my page I have them printed smaller (approx 2"x3") from my usual online printers as that way I get to use a few photos and still include the whole photo without having to cut out all the background plus the consistent size makes them easier to use.

Card Challenge Tuesday

Welcome to another Bo Bunny Card Challenge Tuesday!!  Today we are going to do something special and fun with this challenge. We are doing a  blog swap/hop with Operation Write Home and we'd love to have as many of you as possible play along with this challenge.  Not only is it a great way to thank our troops for everything they are doing but it will be fun and rewarding too! You will need a little information before you begin this challenge.

Here's the scoop from Operation Write Home.
Any theme is fine. The main requirement is to stay away from glitter. It's a safety hazard on the battlefield (night vision goggles can see glitter.) We don't want to put our troops in any more danger than they are already in so please visit this link for guidelines before creating your card. http://www.operationwritehome.org/guidelines.html

After creating your cards we would love to have you send them to Operation Write Home.  If you are not familiar with Operation Write Home here is a little explanation of what this fabulous organization does.
Please go to this link to get the correct address to send your cards in. http://operationwritehome.org/mailroom.html

Operation Write Home Mission:
Supporting our nation's armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as cards of gratitude to encourage them.
This merry band of thousands of cardmakers is made up of Americans - and citizens of other nations too - who care about our military, and want to support them through creativity and encouragement. Crafters of all ages and levels of experience have participated since 2007...and are on the way to a landmark one MILLION cards!
Care packages filled with hundreds of handmade cards are sent to our contacts, restocking every 6-8 weeks, and are sent in time for the long journey back home to loved ones. Each box is packed with great care, alternating styles, colors, and cardmakers from all over the USA, creating "eye candy" for heroes who see only khaki around them. The topper on each box is a plastic bag filled with 20-30 letters from adults and children across the country, letters handed out especially to those in need of a positive word from the homefront.
Boxes are shipped through every week of the year, so join us anytime in sending your beautiful creations to help our heroes keep in touch with home!

Now for the rest of the card Challenge, create a card using this fun sketch provided by our sweet designer Romy!  It's so darned cute and it will be hard not to play along with this one! You will love what our fabulous design team did with this sketch!
