Just chillin' in the winter sunshine
by Sam Wright

Journaling: Here in Durban, the sun is most always shining! If you take a look at the Official Tourism site, you will see that our slogan is...."Durban, The warmest place to be!"

Interactive Cards

What a fun day...
We have cards that are interactive and a super fun idea for kids.

Quick story.... most women love handmade cards, right?
We tend to hang onto them if they are handmade.

That really wasn't my mom's thing... and that's okay.
But my dad... Different story.
I was helping my mom clean up one day and in my dad's dresser drawer...
There was every card/invite etc. I had ever made him.
It made my day, (and many many days since then too) to think
what I made was that important to him. The end.

Hello Friend
by Lynn Shokoples
This fun little card swings open in the middle.
I used the Prairie Chic Noteworthy package to decorate the whole card.
There are so many fun elements in the package!
Great for layering or for adding that little something.
The little envelope was a piece from the Noteworthy package. I added a few other pieces to decorate it. I'm going to surprise someone with a gift card tucked inside.

Card Help
Mireille Divjak
Interactive cards.. when I was thinking about this I couldn't get this "card Help" out of my mind. When I was younger my grandmother taught me children's card games. I had a lot of trouble holding the cards in my hands so she made me a card Help.
Seeing the playing cards on the patterned paper,
kinda put one and one together.
It's a very simple idea.
I used 4 coasters, decorated them on both sides with patterned paper.
Used Noteworthy for further decoration purposes. To protect the
"Card Help" in case we want to play at sea in the summer I cut circles from plastic wrapping material. I put two coasters together, put the plastic
circles on the outside, put buttons in the middle and poked holes.
Then I stitched everything together. In the space between the two
coasters you can put your playing cards.
Hope they will have hours of playing fun holding there BoBunny Card Help.

By Sam Wright
Tip: Use your supplies as a source of inspiration. The idea for my layout was inspired by the Dimensional sticker in the right hand corner of my photo which reads "Greetings from Paradise". So I thought it would be fun to create a letter type LO complete with envelope and stamps!

A Mom's Day Mini

Since it was Mother's Day this week, we are going to
do a couple posts that highlight our moms.

Today, Sam Wright has made a darling mini album
out of the Noteworthy packaging.

BoBunny's packaging is so beautiful, you can't stand
to throw it away.  Check it out:

When it comes to love, MOM's the word
by Sam Wright
" I created this mini album using the Noteworthy packaging as my base and cover. I also used packaging within my album as embellishments/ journaling spots.
Take the Noteworthy packaging with the little flap on your right and score at 4"
Next cut a piece of patterned paper 5" x 9". This will be your front cover. Turn the Noteworthy card over so that the little flap is on your left. Glue the paper down. The paper does not cover the flap!!
 For the inside cover:
Cut one 5" x 6" piece of patterned paper
Cut one 5" x 8" piece of patterned paper.
Glue the smaller piece from left to right. The paper goes over the fold(to strengthen the spine)
Taking the second strip- score at 3" and glue the remaining 5" from the centre to the end of the book. This will not cover the small flap either.
The 3" piece that is not stuck down, becomes the first page of your mini!
Designer tip: To add strength and to ensure the album does not come apart I use double sided tape. However.... PLEASE BE WARNED.... accidents happen easily as there is no repositioning embellishments or paper once it has stuck!!

Hope you enjoyed this little mini and if you do have a go at making one, please share it with us on the Bo Bunny Facebook Page! We'd love to see!"

Gabrielle Pollacco
A Pocket Full of Kisses
I went a little different way for my page, I went with the title of one of Meagan's and my favorite books when she was a preschooler, "A Pocket Full of Kisses" This book by Audrey Penn and another one called 'The Kissing Hand" were 2 books that really helped her through the first month of Junior Kindergarten. It's a story about a mother raccoon that helps her little shy baby by placing a kiss in her palm and telling her that whenever she finds herself getting nervous at school, she should bring her palm to her face and tell herself 'Mama loves you".

In keeping with the idea of books, I made a pocket on the page (a denim pocket from one of her old pairs of pants) and made a whole bunch of flower stems with the names of some of her favorite books (Goodnight Moon, I Love You Stinky Face, I'll Love you Forever....etc.) and their authors and attached a BB bloom at the top of each 'stem'....then tucked all the blooms in the pocket. Now she'll have a keepsake of all her favorites to share with her babies when she grows up.

Below is a close-up of the blooms in the pocket and the next photo shows one of the stems pulled out.

Paper Doilies: Medium, Large
Lace: Clover

You're All My Favorites
Sam Wright
Designer Tip: When using embellishments, group them together and where possible use groups of three- this helps to create balance and another rule a very dear scrapping friend taught me... "if you use it once, use it twice!" If you look closely at my layout you will see that I have done this in numerous ways using buttons and brads. I've repeated colours and patterns and sizes.
BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Mischief, Fun, Love / Family Is.., Banners/Love Letters
Chipboard: 12" Family is..
Blossoms: Denim Blue Daisy, Denim Blue Bouquet
Brads: Family Is
Buttons: Love Letters, Ad Lib, various Bo Bunny buttons
