Greetings!
Hi there, it's Rhonda here today to share with you my project featuring the gorgeous Serendipity collection along with a few of the new Pentart products. I've got a couple of techniques that I will highlight in a short video as well.
This woodgrain paper called "Flight" was so soft I wanted to use it as my focus. I used some Pentart Primer Paste Gesso in white to lay down a whitewash effect and also to prepare the paper for additional mixed media pigments.
Once the background is prepared, I used the frame from the new "Congratulations Card Dies" set, but slipped it over my matted photo to showcase the photo in a soft but dramatic way.
Square foam dimensional adhesive is used to elevate the photo and under the butterflies. Double Dot Jewels are added to accent the Noteworthy butterflies.
One of my favorite assembly methods is collage, I take bits and pieces from Noteworthy, or die cut some elements, cut them apart and layer them into the page. As you can see peeking out from behind the bird, there is a bit of grass layered in.
