New Washi Tape Tutorial!

Washi Tape Tutorial by Ilene Tell

I love working with washi tape - it's such a fun, versatile product. I was so happy to see BoBunny new washi tapes with the gold dot and gold chevron. The gold makes the tape such a festive and bright embellishment. I thought it would be fun to use the washi tapes to make a customized embellishment, and it's very simple to do with some dies, washi tape, and tissue paper.

Pick out the dies you want to use. Then cover the tissue paper with washi tape - cover a large enough area to fit the die.

Next, cut out the covered pieces of tissue paper.

Now, run it through your die cutting machine.

The result is semi-transparent die-cuts that are very delicate and perfectly match the washi tape you have. You can then add the die-cuts to your project, along with a little bit of the washi tape to balance out the colors throughout. I made two cards and added the butterflies along with their matching washi tape as accents.

Here's a close-up. You can see that the butterfly is still semi-transparent, which helps it convey a delicate feeling:

And as always, I finished out the inside of the cards with some pretty paper from the 6x6 pad:

For my second card, I again added the butterfly and swirl die-cuts, and some washi tape to balance out the elements.

1 Layout 3 Ways with Calendar Girl

I love to work with one layout, three ways. Today I'll show you a page in three stages!

Sweet by Solange Marques

In first stage I only placed my photo and I prologue it using modeling paste and acrylic paints and I also placed the title. But I am not a clean person and I need more texture and elements on my page.

Then I added some stamps and modeling paste on the heart stencil. I also added a rose next to the title. But I still need more something.

I distressed the borders and I used a stitch stamp on the borders. I added a frame using a green paper on the background. I also added more acrylic paint and embellishments, such as butterflies, jewels and gold foil medallions.

Luscious Layout With Calendar Girl!

Greetings and welcome to the BoBunny blog, I am featuring a page today created using the all new Calendar Girl collection!

Dancing in the Rain by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Dance in the Rain Scrapbook Page featuring Calendar Girl Collection by BoBunny designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

You can create so many projects with this collection, today I decided to create a scrapbook page. I've used several of our newer items including Foil Chevron and Dot Washi Tapes, Glitter and Foil Chevron Stickers as well as a Gold Foil Medallion.

The papers were used to create my tags using our Nested Terrific Tag Dies. Don't you just love that rose paper from the June paper? The Misc Me Journaling Cards were wonderful to layer in for a variety of sentiments to help tell the story of this page and our friendship.

This is me and my best friend from college. She always reminds me to dance in the rain and when I saw that journaling card for this collection, I knew that this page was meant to have it. She inspires me to remember to plug through the rain and enjoy all of the moments and gifts along the way.

Mixed Media Tutorial With Calendar Girl!

Hi! Ulrika Wandler here to show you todays' tutorial.

Have you seen the new Calendar Girl?! Gorgeous! Many of my friends use it for their calendars and planners. Well, not me! I made a layout with it instead!

I will show you in a few steps how I made a mixed media layout using Pearlescents, mists, stamps and some other fun stuff!

Skolfoto 2015 (School photo 2015) by Ulrika Wandler

I stated out by using some gesso along with a stickable stencil. The stickable part is perfect when you use gesso or stuff like that since it doesn't get under the stencil!

Then I added some splashes of Glimmer mist. I often use a homemade (very simple!) stencil to keep the mist from getting on the edges of the paper.
I also used some gesso mixed with water to make splashes!
I used one of my recent favourite stamps to make a pattern on the paper when the gesso had dried.

I just LOVE these lasercut chipboard pieces, especially the hearts!

I covered one with gesso, and added two layers of Pearlescents to make it shine!

This is how the layout ended up!

Some of the gorgeous papers from Calendar Girl together with a cute flower, some noteworthy diecuts and that cute heart!

I just couldn't resist using some glitter paste on the flower. I'm not sure if you can see it properly, but it sure is there! :-)

1 Layout 3 Ways With Calendar Girl

This Magic Moment by Agnieszka Bellaidea

I had a chance to play with new, beautiful collection the very same day I got my parcel .
This is my first page and I created 3 version of it..
I started with choosing a base page and I used Double Dots 12 x 12 paper in green to match colors from "December" page.
I was busy cutting out several elements , using new stencils and washi tapes.
This is how my page looked like when I was done but I will show you also two simple version here and ...another one on my own blog, this would be nr 4! - check it HERE
On 3 photos below you can see different parts on this page.

Here is a look before I added flowers, chipboards and washi tape.
Too simple for me but I know some of you still like this style and not so long time ago I was teaching  a class how to add a little mixed media style to simple pages.

This version below it's extremely simple version, I normally start like this when I check colors from my photo and match them with papers and embellies. For some reason this page has a fresh  look, maybe because of  it's all this white snow :)

October Dailies With Calendar Girl!

October Dailies by Lynn Shokoples

October Dailies by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny featuring the Calendar Girl Collection

I was so excited to see the new Calendar Girl collection and all the fun goodies in the Misc.Me packages. The first thing I did was decorate my 8x9 binder with some of the pieces from the Journal Contents pack and the Noteworthy pack. For a little bling I used the Accents Silver Foil pieces.

Now, on to the Dailies!! I couldn't wait to start a daily planner. I loved all the different color sheets, so I just had to use one of each! As you can see there is plenty of room to add your goals, your meals, and your schedules.

Also in the Dailies package are little cards you can also use. They all have different prompts, so you can use a different one everyday!

After I did all my writing, I opened the Noteworthy package and looked at all the fabulous little pieces. Just perfect for adding a little extra to the pages.

Calendar Girl Planner Tutorial!

Hi BoBunny fans, today I going to share with you a different way to use your Misc Me supplies in the form of a photo diary.

Tracee Provis Misc Me Bo Bunny Calendar Girl 01

I am not much of a planner girl, things quite often just happen off the cuff so to speak. The planner format doesn't really work for me, but I do love to look back at my month and so I thought that a photo diary would work for me.

Tracee Provis Misc Me Bo Bunny Calendar Girl 02

Using the Planner Contents each month will have an overview of events and occasions, I have recently bought an old electric typewriter for a cheap price and I am using it to journal on my pages, as you can see I have yet to get used to it properly and some of the words are a little askew that doesn't really matter and is much more legible than my handwriting.

I applied one of the Gold Foil Sentiment transfers, boy these are so easy to apply and have the most gorgeous slightly raised sheen to them.

Tracee Provis Misc Me Bo Bunny Calendar Girl 03

I printed all the photos I was going to use for the month, as I wanted to fit a few events onto each page I printed them off at 1 inch squares. For the printing I used an online photo editor to collage them all onto one page, there are lots of different ones out there I used Pic Monkey to do mine.

Tracee Provis Misc Me Bo Bunny Calendar Girl 04

I arranged them roughly into groups, so that I knew exactly where I wanted to add my Glitter Paste.

Tracee Provis Misc Me Bo Bunny Calendar Girl 05

After letting the glitter paste dry I added a tree stencil from the Falling Leaves stencil. I stuck the stencil down and then outlined it using a journaling pen, I then applied Pearlescents using a spatula.

After adhering my alphabet stickers I used the same journaling pen to outline those too.

Here are two more pages for October, I added some stamping and a sticker that came from another recent collection You're Invited. That is one of the good things about these types of projects you can use papers and embellishments from all different Bo Bunny collections.

I used the Pocket Page cards to mat and layer some of my pictures and I even fussy cut the cloud image from one to use as an embellishment.

Tracee Provis Misc Me Bo Bunny Calendar Girl 07

I cut up one of the Calendar Dailies sheets and used it around my page to fit my needs. I created a journaling card from one piece and used my typewriter to spell out some of the things we did on vacation.

I am really enjoying using the Misc Me supplies this way, as I am working backwards at the moment  I will have to work hard to finish the rest of 2015 before 2016 starts.
