DIY Halloween Tags with Denise

Hello BoBunny Fans

It's Denise here and today I want to share some really fun tags with you for Halloween.
I took a walk back in time and used the Wonderfully Wicked and Fright Delight collections.

Here is a look at the first tag. I used an acrylic paint and stencil to create the background and then layered up papers and chipboard pieces, along with gauze and beads.

On the second tag I did some distress oxide inking and water effects for the base and then stencilled over that. I then fussy cut some bits and added some chipboard pieces, beads and gauze.

For the last tag I also stencilled on the background with paste and a stencil and then layered up various things, along with the beads and gauze for texture.

I really had so much fun creating these scary and spidery tags and love the end result.

One can certainly still use older collections and still make beautiful projects and mixing and matching these collections was easy and fun.

Thanks for stopping by the BoBunny blog today! We really look forward to seeing you back tomorrow.

Have a super day!
Denise x

This is our final day of Mix and Match Week here on the BoBunny blog. Have you been inspired to try your hand at mixing and matching your favorite BoBunny collections? Today, Irene and Agnieszka inspire us with their mixing and matching abilities on some gorgeous cards!

Love Is Sweet Card by Irene Tan

Have you all started creating cards for this Valentine's Day? Here is a card which I've mixed both Pincushion and Head Over Heels collection. I've used Pincushion to soften the look for this card and embellished it with Head Over Heels for the sentiment of this card.

Stickers: Head Over Heels Sticker
Chipboard: Head Over Heels Layered Chipboard

Live The Life You Imagined Card by Agnieszka Bellaidea

My son turned 12 a couple of weeks ago, so I wanted to make a special card for him. He  loves watching movies, reading books and he has some favorites games. He has a wonderful imagination, so my wish for him was to keep it that imagination alive. To create my card, I used a mix of 3 different BoBunny collections and added one of my favorite flowers.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Papers: The Avenues Trellis , Treasures / The Avenues, Fright Delight Ghouls / Fright Delight, Head Over Heels Prince Charming / Head Over The Heels
Blossoms: Denim Blue Zinnia

In Love Card by Agnieszka Bellaidea

This card will very soon, be given to the man of my life! Two of the collections I used are themed for Christmas and Halloween however, they went perfectly with the love theme of my card.
I used some pink on this card for my husband, but I think it's still a good card for him. Maybe next year I will make him a card with a golf theme!?

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Papers: Head Over Heels, Date Night, Endless Love / Head Over The Heels; Elf Magic Fa La La La La / Elf Magic;  Fright Delight Ghouls / Fright Delight; Treasures / The Avenues

Mix and Match Scrapbook Pages 2

We continue our Mix and Match Week here on the BoBunny blog with more scrapbook pages. Today, Denise and Maryia really show you how to mix it up. Denise used five different collections and Maryia used nine. Now that is mixing and matching for sure!

Beauty by Denise van Deventer

I used a combination of Zip-A-Dee-Doodle, Pincushion, Head Over Heals,Woodland Winter and Fright Delight collections. Can you believe that?! I made sure that I incorporated black, as I needed to ground my photo on the various patterned papers.  The black also adds to the slightly grungy, yet shabby feel.

I made some flowers with die-cuts and instead of using leaves, I used some wool, which was rather thready. It added a different texture to the page, which I loved.

Since a large percentage of this layout was created with Pincushion, I thought it would be a nice touch to include some sewing, so I sewed my buttons to the page.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Boyfriend/ Head Over Heals; Collage / Zip-A-Dee-Doodle; Pincushion, Doilies, Toile, Backstitch / Pincushion

Jewels: Fright Delight
Chipboard:12 x 12/ Pincushion
Stamps: It is Written
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Blossoms: Harvest Orange Pansy

Happy Day by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

I always love to mix and match different products and materials in my projects. I never worry about whether materials are from the same collection. It's much more interesting to me, to find my own combination and to mix it up!

On this layout I used nine different collections. Can you find them all?

As always, my LO includes a lot of paint, ink and doodling.

Unfortunately we don't celebrate Halloween in the part of Holland where I live. But because I do really like this celebration, I couldn't resist making two Halloween cards. I just love the colour combinations of the amazing "Fright Delight" collection. On this card I focused on the black, white and orange tones in these papers.

It was fun to fussy cut small elements from the paper but if you don't like to do it there is plenty of ready stickers, chipboards and other cute stuff in this collection. When I make cards I like to decorate them from two sides so I had a chance to use even more elements from Fright Delight.

Fright Delight Halloween Layouts and Woodland Winter Winner

Our Woodland Winter Collection winner is announced at the bottom of the post!

Enjoy these Spook-tacular Halloween layouts created by our design team using our new Fright Delight collection!

Spooky by Lisa Novogrodski

When I first laid eyes on the adorable "Fright Delight" collection I thought I would do something a bit different and show you how to take this cute Halloween theme to shabby chic level. I just love the tiny dot pattern in the Fright Delight Ghouls and I thought the bright blue in the Fright Delight Party was a great way to add a non traditional pop of color to this page. I carried the blue on the diagonal with a touch of stamping and flowers.

Designers Tip: Don't let heavily patterned paper intimidate you. Work with the colors instead of focusing on the patterns. Cut the patterns up into smaller sizes. Use a sketch to help you decide on sizes and shapes.

BoBunny Supplies:
Pattern Paper: Fright Delight, Ghouls, Party, Eek / Fright Delight

Stamps: Stained Textures

Haunted House by Keri Babbitt

When I first took at a look at all the fun new Fright Delight embellishments, the haunted house chipboard & ticket ephemera caught my eye.  They were perfect for this page about our annual haunted house, or as we call it, our "Hall of Spookables!"  I love the mix of orange, green, black, & purple in this collection, so to highlight the spooky colors, I converted my photos to black & white.

Designer's Tip:  Layering stickers onto the chipboard pieces is a great way to create custom accents. Another way to get this custom look is using foam dimensional adhesive to layer stickers on top of ephemera.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Haunted, Spiders/Fright Delight
Cardstock: Kiwi Dot
Stickers: Fright Delight Combo Stickers; Fright Delight Cardstock Stickers

Chipboard: Fright Delight 12 x 12

Under Your Spell by Ilene Tell

I just love the "Fright Delight" collection - it offers so many possibilities (skulls for teenage layouts, goblins for kid layouts, traditional Halloween colors, sophisticated flourishes, and more!) The paper was perfect for this layout about my son last Halloween. He was a knight, and one of the images on the "Costume" sheet is a little skeleton dressed as a knight.

I cut up the tree from the 12x12 chipboard sticker sheet to make some branches that went well with the flourish pattern paper. Cut up, the tree almost passes as flourishes too - but spooky ones, just right for Halloween.

Patterned Paper: Costume, Ghouls, Spooky, Eek!/Fright Delight
Stickers: Fright Delight Combo Sticker; Fright Delight Dimensional Stickers

And now....The WINNER of the Woodland Winter collection preview
