I have a new page today with a photo from Birthday party. It was fun, girls and boys had great time and I am left with so many lovely photos. For the one I used here Genevieve collection was just perfect.

I love to cutt out elements from 12x12 papers and add them on my page to add 3 D effect.

New stencil with feather - you can see more of them HERE - was used with gesso and modeling paste.

I will never get bored with birdcages /have a collection of them too!  / so every line by Bo Bunny with birdcages males me smile...and cut,cut more.

Colors from this collection are great for any season and I may still create Winter page with it. How about you?

12x12 Misc Me & Genevieve!

 I have a pleasure to show you my new project today.

As you know today we are showing off Misc Me products and I started a new 12 x 12 album.

I love to decorate covers and lovely Genevieve collection was perfect for my project.

I used new stencils for my album front and know already this feather will be a popular item to reach for when creating new projects.

A couple lovely birds were fussy cut from 12x12 papers.

I know you would not call my page a typical Misc Me page. The idea for it came to me some time ago when teaching different classes in the same shop and several students joined different classes - pocket pages, scrapbooking, Mixed Media. Some of them wanted to "continue" working on the same project during different classes. So my idea was to make typical 12 x 12 pages, double pages and typical Misc Me pocket pages when we used only all ready elements.

We kept cutting similar shapes and spent little time on "decorations". This way every "chapter" in their album had one or two pages in style I made my project for today and then the rest was typical pocket pages. Just something different to do.

When teaching last time in South Africa I noticed double pages are still very popular there. I rarely create double pages but this time my two single ones look good together :).

My students also complain about journaling when making "fast Misc Me" pages.  I encourage them to try, those little Bo Bunny journaling cards are perfect to start with and when you really, really don't know how to start look for a poem like I did this time . This one by Polish author Tadeusz Wywrocki "How not to love Autumn"

New Gorgeous Cards!

Hello BoBunny fans!

It's Romy here today and I would like to show you two cards that I made with BoBunny's brand new Nested Tags dies. I always love using dies on my cards and these tags are very versatile and easy to use. With my two cards I will show you just two of the ways in which you can use them on your cards.

I used five tags with different sizes on my first card. My background consists of two black tags, which were cut out with the largest die from the Nested Tags set. After that, I cut out one small tag from pink paper and attached that inbetween the black tags. I then cut out two other tags from yellow and blue papers and positioned them horizontally on my card. As you can see, it can give a very playful look if you use some of the tags horizontally and some of them vertically on your card.

My second card features the wonderful Genevieve collection. I cut out two tags with different sizes with the Nested Tag dies set, as well as a rectangle with one of the Lattice Frame dies. I layered them on top of each other in the middle of my card. I also added fussy cut flowers (from the Lavish paper) and two chipboard pieces on top of it.

Ooolala! Gorgeous Genevieve Cards!

Hi there BoBunnies :)

This week we've been all gaga over the new Genevieve Collection, and today I have a couple of cards to show you using this beautiful colour combo of blue, yellow and white.  It reminds of Summer - which is still a few months away here - and daffodils!

To create the base of my card Ive matched up the yellow in the patterned paper to Buttercup Double Dot - it matches the collection perfectly!

For my background I first dry brushed gesso over the base paper and then applied Gold Pearlescents, again dry brushed on. I then used the new Stickable Stencil Starling with texture paste.  Once dry, I then applied splatters of Gold and Frost Glimmer Sprays.  When that was dry I reapplied my stencil over my original application of texture paste and re-painted over the design with white gesso so that it stood out.  Once it was all dry I randomly stamped all over.

To decorate my chipboard I gessoed both pieces first.  The top piece I left white, inking the edges with the Blueberry Ink Pad and stamping with Licorice Ink.  The bottom piece I kept simple, covering it with Gold Pearlescents.

A bit of fussy cutting, and a cluster at the bottom of my centre piece finished it all off.

With my second card I created the base in exactly the same way as the first card.  I used the tag from the sticker sheet, popped some jumbled up cotton in behind, with some seam binding ribbon I coloured with Frost Glimmer Spray.

Really simple but looks effective!

Mixed Media With Genevieve!

Hello Everyone! My project for today is a mixed media page featuring the all new and utterly beautiful "Genevieve" collection. I wanted to feature the angelic feel of my photos from our recent vacation. This particular center photo looks to me like an angel glowing at the end, so that is the perspective behind the title.

To begin, I stamped the angled typescript from the "It is Written"stamp set. I've used Silver Glitter Paste with our new Whimsy Stickable Stencil for a background accent.

For my title work I've combined one of the new "Celebrate" Laser Cut Chipboard sentiments, finished with gesso and then a light rub of Silver Pearlescents.  The "Documented" sentiment and flourish are from the Filagree Silver Foil Transfer collection.

A few splatters of Glimmer Spray in Sugar and Frost added a bit of movement and texture on the page also. For my collage, I layered piece of Noteworthy, Chipboard and Combo Stickers. The extra small chipboard sentiment was the perfect finishing touch.

Art Journaling With Genevieve!

Hi guys, I am so excited to finally get my hands on the new BoBunny collections! I got to play with the Genevieve collection, and the thing that grabbed me about it before anything else were the colors - I just love the deep, warm yellow and the ultramarine deep blue. I knew I wanted to create an art journal spread, since I've been really getting into mixed media art journaling lately. And the bright colors made me think of the book "My Many Colored Days" by Dr. Seuss. The book begins with:

"Some days are yellow, some are blue. On different days, I'm different too. You'd be surprised how many ways I change on different colored days."

Then it goes through a variety of colors and the moods that go with them. It has beautiful artsy illustrations as well. I always loved it for my kids, to show them that we all have different moods and that it's OK to have all sorts of feelings. I thought this collection would be perfect to create a two-page spread in my journal.

Art journaling is so fun and such a great way to express your feelings, thoughts, and experiment with different colors and techniques. There's no pressure to get it "perfect", it's just a therapeutic time to play. Here are the steps I went through to create this layout:

1. Cut apart blue-toned and yellow-toned sheets from the 6x6 paper pad into random scraps and then randomly glue them down with gel medium. I like to use the 6x6 paper for this since it's slightly thinner than the really thick 12x12 paper BoBunny has.

2. Put some globs of yellow paint on the yellow side and rub it around with a baby wipe to give the page an even more yellow tone. It will come out as a color wash and completely see-through. Do the same for the other side with blue paint. This way even the same papers will look different for each side.

3. Add designs around the edges with the "Starling" stickable stencil and then the birds at the top.

4. Paint your image. I chose to paint the girl. I love painting with acrylics on patterend paper since you can leave areas with less paint on them to let the design underneath show through.

5. Add more stenciling with the "Whimsy" stencil. There are many ways to add color using the stencils, including using the glitter pastes and the glimmer strays. Here I just used plain paint dabbed on with a cosmetic sponge (you can get those at the dollar store for a bag).

6. Add more details, such as shading and white accents. Add stamping (here, I used the "Romance" stamp which matches this collection perfectly). I also added a die-cut bird, a die-cut for the date, and I used a black marker to go around some of the elements for more definition.

Photo Shoot With Genevieve!

Happy Monday, I am here today to share with you how the new Foil Accents and the Genevieve Collection works so well with the Misc Me 8 x 9 pocket pages.

I love the colour combination of Blue and Yellow and that describes the new Genevieve Collection to a tee, I added some of the Silver Foil accents to my pages for an extra elegant touch.

I love the birdcages that are on both the 12 x 12 papers and the 6 x 6 pad from the Genevieve Collection, I fussy cut one from each of the 2 sizes to add as accents in my pockets. I used a piece from one of the borders on the Accents Silver Foil Transfer Sheets and another from the Sentiments sheets to my pictures, they are so easy to apply and have the most amazing shine that is very hard to capture properly in a photograph.

Blue is my favourite colour, so I pulled them from the papers for these pages. The word Happy is another that I took from the Sentiments Silver Foil Transfer Sheet. For the journaling spot on the right I used the smallest die from the Ornate set, it cuts out rather like a ticket and is a cute place to add some journaling.

I like that you still have the ability to be able to add a regular 6 x 4 photograph in this smaller sized Misc Me, I just added a silver foil word to the bottom of the picture and my pocket was done. The "Happiness" die cut piece is in the noteworthy pack, these are great for ready made embellishments and there are lots in each pack for you to choose from.

 I used a sticker from the Combo Sticker Sheet to mount my ampersand on, the letters from the Double Dot Alpha sheets are a perfect size for adding titles to your Misc Me pages.Because this book is for my Granddaughter I thought it would be fun for her to add some of her own journaling to the pages and have for the moment left these blank. I am sure she is going to have great fun telling the stories in her own words.
