Document December 2013 by Juliana Michaels

With Christmas fast approaching I wanted to create a way to document some of my favorite December activities and traditions. To accomplish this, I used the Elf Magic Misc Me collection. As a start, I embellished the cover of the Elf Magic Binder. The Misc Me Binders are already cute however, I used chipboard, patterned paper, stickers, a doily and some jewels to add my own personal touch.

For the inside of the album I used a variety of the page protectors and pieces from the Elf Magic Journal Contents. I also included some patterned papers from the Elf Magic Collection to fill the pockets. Many of the 2 page spreads in my album are pre-planned to fit a specific activity or tradition we have every year. For more details on how I planned and prepared my album, including a list of my pre-planned pages and more photos of the pages, please visit my blog at www.17turtles.com. Also, later in December I will be sharing how my album is coming together as the month of December is upon us.

Christmas Countdown by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Our two boys are four and six and I want to be sure to capture all of the happenings during the holidays. I love the idea of their participation as we count down to Christmas with our album too. We have an Elf on the Shelf that comes to visit us and this collection was just perfect for this year's "Christmas Countdown" book!

I had fun decorating my Misc. Me Binder with Chipboard, Combo Stickers, Trinkets and Jewels. The Chipboard Christmas Tree I coated with some Goosebumps, then cut apart a Jewel Flourish to simulate the lights.  A few sprinkled Jewels represent the ornaments.  I added Noteworthy elements and some Misc. Me stickers to date the album.

I created a contrast layer for the inside cover to mix the color scheme up a bit. The calendar insert is so cute, I added just a few Noteworthy banners and stapled them.  The reverse of this page worked wonderfully for the staples to become a part of its design.

The design of my book is simple.  Using Page Protectors, Journal Contents and then include the Notepaper with each of the dates stamped as my foundation. I just used a simple date stamp that I found at my local Office Supply store.

The snowman was fussy cut from the Elf Magic Characters patterned paper.

If you have some fans of the Elf in your house, you really need to pick up this collection! It is just wonderful and whimsical for creating a Countdown Book or even just to document the fun things that the Elf has done during the season.  Using the Misc Me products you can easily create the foundation for your own book in an evening or two.

For this page, I chose a creamy neutral background, to showcase the bright Fall colors in the photos.  Cream jewels and copper brads were the perfect Fall accents to finish off this page.

Capturing Christmas Moments Mini Album

This time of year brings many Holiday Traditions. We have a lot of Holiday Traditions in my family and many are not photographed. But there is one that we try to do every year, and that is to record certain pictures that bring us wonderful memories. So I chose to pick  a few pictures from our family albums and display them in this mini album. I left a stamped spot for journaling for each photo to write the story behind each photo. I will pass the album around the table this Christmas and have the family remember each moment captured and I will record it. There is one page I left out of the album, and I will use that one for a photo of my husband and I, when I find the particular photo I am looking for, I will add it to the album. It is lost in a sea of photo memories at the moment.

This is the cover. I chose to die cut poinsettias from the Double Dots papers. I used the dimensional chipboard, sticker and trinkets on the cover as well.

This is a closeup of the flowers. I colored and heat embossed the layers of flowers before assembling. I thought the gold embossing lent an elegance and sparkle to the flowers. I added the jewels to the centers.

I fussy cut a scene from one of the papers and covered the inside of the cover. Then I matted the photo and placed it on the page. I also created tags for some of the photo's and placed them on the pages.

The second set of pages also have the tags with the matted photo's. I used a Noteworthy piece for my journaling space and used the extra flower on the page. The next page has a dimensional sticker that I placed over the cutout on the page.

The next 2 pages also have matted photo's on tags. I colored some seam binding ribbon to string through the tags. I used dimensional stickers, chipboard and Noteworthy on these pages with a couple of extra flowers I created.

The next 2 pages are also have a tag with a matted photo and a Noteworthy Frame that I used to frame one of the photo's. I also lightly inked all of the edges.

Here is a view of the front and back of the album.

BoBunny Facebook Fan Feature

Today we are featuring a few fabulous projects that were recently shared by some of our BoBunny Fans on our Facebook page. Each of these projects caught our attention because of their amazing attention to detail and excellent use of BoBunny products.

The first creation we are featuring is this eye catching scrapbook layout created by Daniela Girolamo. She used the Trail Mix collection in a way that makes you feel like you are outdoors enjoying the beauty of nature with that sweet little girl in the photo.

Elisabeth Bottoms caught our attention with this unique mini album she created using the Silver & Gold collection. We can only imagine the wonderful memories she will capture and treasure forever with her unusual approach to storing a mini album.

Remember Your Holiday Traditions

Welcome to another fun and fabulous week of BoBunny inspiration. We have a great theme planned for this week! Enjoy as the design team expresses and shares some of their "Holiday Traditions" in many different crafting formats!

Today they will capture their holiday traditions in layouts!

All I Want - Lisa Novogrodski

One of my favorite family traditions is our "Breakfast with Santa" each year. Not only do we all love Santa but we love going out for breakfast! I thought I would wrap this sweet photo of my kids up in a little "Elf Magic." What I love about the "Elf Magic" collection is how you can scrap it in a fun cute way or take it to a vintage level. I wanted to make my page a little more shabby and vintage so I used the more traditional style side of the papers.

I tore some openings and added some little doily pieces peeking through with a little button and loop closure.

I created all my large flowers with a poinsettia stamp on the Elf Magic "Chorus" paper. I used some distress inks and Inka Gold to add a little "magic" of my own to these blooms.

On my chipboard "presents" I created some bows by simply cutting up the little pearl flower found in the "Frosting Jewels." A perfect topping I think!

BoBunny Supplies:
Pattern Paper: Elf Magic, Tinsel, Chorus/ Elf Magic
Autumn Song, Melody/ Autumn Song
Cardstock: Double Dot Chiffon Stripe
Chipboard: Elf Magic 12 x12, Elf Magic Layered Chipboard

Merry Christmas by Agnieszka Bellaidea

I think every family has a special traditions for Christmas and I know these are the things we are looking forward to it. We love to bake cookies and every year we have so many it's last us for couple of months. The favorites one are "Kocie oczka" and I will post more info about on my own blog. I really miss the time my kids were in Music School and they had to practice Christmas songs from November to be ready for a show. I loved it!

I liked to use all blue pages from Elf Magic. With a little touch of mists and gesso I created a soft background for a photo of my son.

Paper with music notes was  perfect  for my project and this little cookie it's a presage of what will be my next layout about.

The Best Day Ever by Romy Veul

One of our traditions for the two weeks summer vacation before and during the holidays is to go out for a walk and take some photos. Although I'm not that much into the cold weather, I always love this time of the year and can hardly wait till I have the time to enjoy a good walk with my family.

I worked with the gorgeous 'Woodland Winter' papers on this lay-out, which are simply perfect for sepia toned photos! I did a lot of stamping with the 'Stained Textures' stamps on my background, added a few layers of paper and further embellished my lay-out with chipboard pieces, flowers and jewel flourishes. I also incorporated a bit of the Kraft Burlap ribbon to add some more texture to my flower cluster. The cute fox and owl were cut out from the papers.
