The Day 29 Giveaway and Double Dot Layouts

Sparkle, shimmer and shine don't miss your chance to win giveaway 29!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

The Double Dot collections and ranges are perfect for all your cardstock needs!

School Zone by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Today we are featuring our Double Dot which is beautiful quality cardstock with complete variety of designs that can help give your project that special "oomph".  I gathered a number of coordinating papers to my photo to begin.

I used a mask and some modeling paste, then added some spray mist splatters to accentuate the colors in my photo and on the background Double Dot. I cut several die cut elements from a variety of Double Dot papers and layered them with a bit of cheesecloth for more texture.

A few embellishments from the Pop Quiz collection helped pull my page together.

BoBunny Supplies:
Cardstock: Coffee Vintage, Chiffon Vintage, Ocean Vintage, Island Mist Vintage, Powder Blue Vintage, Powder Blue Stripe, Dark Denim Stripe, Sugar, Honey Mustard, Frost Dot, Brilliant Blue Dot / Double Dot
Chipboard: Pop Quiz 12 x 12 Chipboard; Pop Quiz Layered Chipboard
Stickers: Pop Quiz Combo Sticker
Jewels: Pop Quiz
Noteworthy: Pop Quiz
Buttons: Pop Quiz

Our Beautiful Boy by Megan Gourlay

Double Dot comes in different designs and an awesome array of colors!  I chose autumnal tones from the vintage range and plain Double Dot and used both sides of the papers - polka dots for the base of my layout and the shabby vintage look to mount my journalling block.  For the scalloped borders I chose to use the plain side.

Our gorgeous wee man Dougal. I've inked around the edges and randomly added BoBunny stamps to create my background.

I like to journal on a layout, whether its hidden for a personal note or in full view.  A double layout is a really easy way of telling your story, or in this case the loveable things about Dougal & using your own handwriting is a great way of including YOU! In the layout for generations to look back on.  It may not be perfect - mines not quite straight - but that's not what its about!

Doodling along the scalloped borders adds definition, preventing them from disappearing in quite a layered cluster.

Layers, layers layers!  Some leaves are cut from Double Dot, others from the Noteworthy range, and all either left flat or layered with chipboard, giving oodles of dimension.  A little faux sewing along the dog collar ties all the doodling together.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Fur Fashion / Happy Tails

I used a brown double dot and Primrose collection for my assignment. I think that the combination of brown and pink, pearls, and a lace paper match well. The Double Dot paper has firm thickness,  it does not wave even if applied the mist.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Primrose Bliss, Breathtaking, Smile / Primrose
Cardstock: Coffee Dot, Chiffon Dot / Double Dot
Noteworthy: Primrose
Jewels: Chocolate Flourish
Stickers: Dimensional Stickers / Primrose
Chipboard: 12 x 12 Primrose

You Make Me Happy card by Lisa Gregory

Sometimes you want a card just to brighten someones day. I just love that the BoBunny paper collections can be used interchangeably. For this card I have used Pincushion, Baby Bump, and a touch of Autumn Song, The avenues and Primrose.

All of the flowers were handmade with the coordinating papers.

Oh Happy Day by Tracee Provis

Whatever the occasion you can always rely on Bo Bunny to have a collection or two to fit the bill. In this post I have mixed up the collections and as you can see they all still match perfectly resulting in some cute cards.

Sometimes I like to create a card that can be used for a number of occasions, Oh Happy Day could mean a new baby, a birthday or simply a card to brighten someones day.

I have mixed papers and embellishments from the Baby Bump, Pincushion & Happy Tails collections to complete my card.

I added a couple of layers to the Pincushion Sew Fun paper from the collection and a little machine stitching completed the look it was that simple!

I cut the title from Happy Tails License paper for a good strong title to sit on all the different patterns in the background.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper; Baby Bump, Miracle, Bundle/Baby Bump; License/Happy Tails; Measurements, Sew Fun/Pincushion
Cardstock; Shadow Vintage Dot
Chipboard; 12 x 12 Pincushion

Happy Birthday 2U by Tracee Provis

I wanted to make my second card using the same Green, Orange and Black palette that I used on the Oh Happy Day card. I drew out more of the Blacks which gives it a more fresh funky look.

I love that Bo Bunny has many elements in their papers that are just perfect for fussy cutting. Here I cut the camera from the Modern Miss paper and popped it up on foam dots to create a 3d embellishment. I anchored the chipboard balloons to a button from the Happy Tails collection along with some twine. I splattered a little mist around to give it an extra dimension.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Backstitch, Toile, Measurements / Pincushion; License / Happy Tails; Modern Miss / Modern Miss

Cardstock: Sugar Dot
Buttons: Happy Tails

Mix and Match Scrapbook Pages 2

We continue our Mix and Match Week here on the BoBunny blog with more scrapbook pages. Today, Denise and Maryia really show you how to mix it up. Denise used five different collections and Maryia used nine. Now that is mixing and matching for sure!

Beauty by Denise van Deventer

I used a combination of Zip-A-Dee-Doodle, Pincushion, Head Over Heals,Woodland Winter and Fright Delight collections. Can you believe that?! I made sure that I incorporated black, as I needed to ground my photo on the various patterned papers.  The black also adds to the slightly grungy, yet shabby feel.

I made some flowers with die-cuts and instead of using leaves, I used some wool, which was rather thready. It added a different texture to the page, which I loved.

Since a large percentage of this layout was created with Pincushion, I thought it would be a nice touch to include some sewing, so I sewed my buttons to the page.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Boyfriend/ Head Over Heals; Collage / Zip-A-Dee-Doodle; Pincushion, Doilies, Toile, Backstitch / Pincushion
Stickers: Cardstock Sticker / Woodland Winter
Noteworthy: Pincushion

Jewels: Fright Delight
Chipboard:12 x 12/ Pincushion
Stamps: It is Written
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Blossoms: Harvest Orange Pansy

Happy Day by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

I always love to mix and match different products and materials in my projects. I never worry about whether materials are from the same collection. It's much more interesting to me, to find my own combination and to mix it up!

On this layout I used nine different collections. Can you find them all?

As always, my LO includes a lot of paint, ink and doodling.

Blossoms and Cards

Welcome to our second day of Blossoms week, here on the BoBunny blog. Today, Evgenia, Denise and Megan have each created a pair of cards to share with you. They have done a fabulous job of showcasing how the gorgeous BoBunny Blossoms can add the perfect touch to any card.

Sunshine Card by Evgenia Petzer

Daisies are definitely my favorite Bo Bunny blossoms, so I used several of them on this soft feminine card.

I used the bottle cap from my hubby's cool drink. I covered it with gesso and then placed the Bo Bunny chipboard inside.

BoBunny Supplies:
Buttons: Pincushion
Chipboard:12 x 12, Layered Chipboard/Pincushion
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Blossoms: Natural Earth Daisy, Clover Daisy

Made With Love Card by Evgenia Petzer

On this card I added the knitted flower as well. This collection is all about handmade things so I thought the knitted item continue this theme.

BoBunny Supplies:
Stickers: Combo Sticker/Pincushion
Noteworthy: Pincushion
Chipboard:12 x 12/Pincushion
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Blossoms: Clover Daisy, Natural Earth Dahlia

Just Love You Card by Denise van Deventer

I wanted this card to be romantic and soft, yet still have the bold colouring of love. So I combined pink, red, white and black.

I love these BoBunny blossoms, they really are so beautiful and are so versatile.

BoBunny Supplies:
Cardstock: Sugar Dot
Stickers:  Combo Sticker/ Head Over Heals
Noteworthy: Head Over Heals
Jewels: Fright Delight
Chipboard:12 x 12/ Head Over Heals
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Head Over Heals
Blossoms: Blush Pansy
Doilies: 4” small
Jewel Flourishes: Frosting Jewels

Thank You Card by Denise van Deventer

Thank You cards are normally quite personal. I wanted this card to be special and thoughtful, so I used a lot of die-cuts to give layers and add softness.

I always like to add a few touches of white to my flowers as it also adds to the softness.

BoBunny Supplies:
Cardstock: Jade Dot
Noteworthy: Pincushion
Stamps: You're Invited, It is Written, Flourishes & Such
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Blossoms: Harvest Orange Pansy

Autumn Song Card by Megan Gourlay

I love BoBunny Blossoms and the rich colour combo of Autumn Song, so I wanted to combine the two to create my card. I also love how purple and lime green go so well together!

I am inclined to give things a distressed look if I can get away with it, because I am particularly drawn to anything that has a heritage feel to it.  Here I distressed and curled the edges of the patterned paper to incorporate that look.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Beautiful, Melody / Autumn Song
Stamps: Autumn Song
Blossoms: Clover Zinnia, Plum Purple Pansy

Mum Card by Megan Gourlay

My Mum's birthday is the beginning of February, so I used Head Over Heels to create her a card. I thought this collection was perfect because her favorite color is red and the sentiment behind this range let me show her how much she means to me.

This time I pulled apart the petals of one of the Blossom to make them go further on my projects. It also keep the card from being too bulky. I also utilized some of the die cuts from the reverse sides of the papers. Can you pick which ones?

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: L-O-V-E, First Kiss, Date Night, Amore/ Head Over Heels
Blossoms: Wildberry Zinnia, Blush Pansy

Autumn Obsessed Misc. Me by Lynn Shokoples

Good Morning Scrappy Friends! For my Misc. Me pages for October I just had to use the Autumn Song collection with the warm rich colors of fall. Fall is my favorite season and where I live in Canada it is very short, so I have to take full advantage of it. For my calendar page, I used one the bags from the Kraft collection and slipped my journaling inside. I also made a little sleeve to hold some of the Noteworthy pieces.

I know I say it every month but the double sided patterned cardstock is just perfect for decorating the pockets in the binder. All the cards I used where right on the sheet, ready to cut out. The hard part was choosing which ones to use. With a few stickers or noteworthy pieces, they were ready in no time.

I'm finding I'm using more of the dimensional stickers in my pockets as well. You can stick them right to the card, or stick them on the plastic sheet for more depth. Misc. Me is keeping me going on my Photo a Day routine...I can't believe it's already November.. Time for more pages and another fun collection.

2014 Diary Misc Me - Megan Gourlay

The possibilities are endless when it comes to Mis Me! which is great for those of you who like me, that tend to challenge the rules ;)   I wanted to show you that Misc Me while an awesome concept in its own right has so many more possibilities.  I've taken it a step further and used the file folders to create a diary planner for 2014.

To create the cover of the ring binder I have fussy cut the flowers from a piece of Zip-a-Dee Doodle paper and layered some pieces up with chipboard while leaving others flat to create my clusters.  I've also used the stained textures stamp to create a messy background, using black ink but instead of placing them on a clear block I've just used my hands to randomly add my background 'art', so that its like my paper, doodley, not perfect.

A bookmark was created out of ribbon, a few jewels and a trinket. Its adhered at the back with a brad.

At the back of the binder is a fold out pocket with a variety of the Notepaper range of Misc Me for all those extra details you might want to jot down.

The best thing of all about Misc Me? The hard work is done for you!, all you have to do is come up with the theme for your album, making a quick and fun project :)
