It's Denise here today with a little bit of festive decoration! I used the beautiful Carousel Christmas collection to create an altered Christmas decoration.
I have a candle inside, surrounded by artificial flowers, which can be lit and will be a beautiful piece at night. Here's a look at the top decoration.
...and here's a look at it, side on.
I did a lot of fussy cutting and used some die-cuts to create the little festive clusters. There are so many beautiful images that one can cut, that it's sometimes hard to choose which ones!!!
I fussy cut the bells below and added some snowflakes and holly. I also added some snow features and splatters, which I created with some watered down gesso and an old toothbrush.
I used some BoBunny cardstock and handmade these pink flowers.
You can see from the photo below that I created a window effect by cutting out a big window frame for both sides of this decorative piece.
The layers and all the bits and pieces add dimension and depth to this project.
I added some foil transfers on the bottoms of the back and front faces too.
I had bought this piece more than a year ago and knew that I somehow wanted to alter it as a Christmas piece and so this year it will be sitting on the mantle in our lounge and will be part of the Christmas decorations,
Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today. We hope to see you back tomorrow.
Have a fabulous day!
