Chabby Chic Card Duo - Featuring Black Tie Affair with Ginny

Hello there, Friends, and a happy day to you all!  I'm here to share two cards that I created with the Black Tie Affair collection. If you're thinking I'm going classic black and white these cards might surprise you.  This collection works for shabby chic inspired projects too!

Shabby Chic Card 1  By Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using Black Tie Affair and Mini Alphabet Punch Board

I've pulled out the whites and grays for these cards and layered them with sweet soft pink cardstock. This 6 x 6 card has loads of Noteworthy pieces and a large die cut doily.

To make the ribbon slide I used the Alphabet Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers and created the tops of two A's but on opposite ends of a long strip. I simply wound the ribbon through then wrapped the tails and secured them on the back.  A few Double Dot Jewels are the perfect finishing touch!

Shabby Chic Card 2  By Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using Black Tie Affair and Mini Alphabet Punch Board

This card is A2 sized and has more of the cut aparts and a smaller die cut doily. For this ribbon slide I punched the ends like in the previous slide...but left the ends squared off. I also trimmed a bit to make it narrower so as to fit the scale better.

The scrap from the cut apart makes an excellent tag when given a coordinating metal eyelet and twine. Instead of my usual poofy bow I created a smaller ribbon embellishment with the trim  and secured it in the center with a Double Dot Brad.

I'm having loads of fun creating unique embellishments with my Alphabet Punch Board. Of  course it's great for letters too!

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Eat Birthday Cake! - Mini File Folder Folio Card featuring Black Tie Affair

Hello There Friends!

Happy Friday to you all : )  Today's project share is a fun birthday card/file folder min folio. I've used the new collection Black Tie Affair which is basically just 100% awesome! It manages to be graphic and classic and fresh and vintage all at the same time! And so very versatile because you can use it as it is or mix it up and add in your favorite splashes of color.  I picked Double Dot cardstock to use in conjunction with the black and white here.  The Blush Double Dot shade I picked really punches it up.

The inspiration for this project was the cheeky sentiment I created with the Alphabet Punch Board. It's taking over the front cover and I just love how it looks. I wound up creating two sets of the letters then layering the more solid pattern under the print to give the allusion of shadow. To further play up the 3D look I popped the letters up on Sticky Thumb double sided foam adhesives from American Crafts .  The cover also has quite a bit of pattern layering . To keep it from looking like a jumbled up mess I added a top layer of velum that I cut with scalloped scissors for added detail. There's a few die cut doilies tucked in there as well.  The last touch is a tag from the sticker sheet that's been finished off with a coordinating metal eyelet and bakers twine.  The smaller sentiments were created with my old school label maker...the kind you roll the wheel around and squeeze to smoosh the letters into the tape.  Not only does it look cool and retro but adds texture!

Here is a shot of the inside pages:

I created the cover with the Punch Board to look like a tabbed topped file folder. Inside is finished with the coordinating patterned papers. Pockets hold tags with room to include additional mementos...like maybe a gift card or ???? The blush cardstock between the layers keeps the patterns separate and it's used also for the smaller doily die cuts.

Here's the little tags pulled out. Those sweet little circles were on the patterned paper and were easy peasy to cut out using a circle die. Who doesn't like making their own embellishments? I love adding clips to minis because there are times when you want to include a picture or ticket or some small memento that you don't want to permanently adhere to the pages.

This last set of pages has two generously sized photo mats and a really nice area to write in a personal sentiment.

Okay that's all for me today. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day : ) G

Happy Easter Wall Decor Project featuring Cottontail and We R Flower Punch with Ginny

Hello There Friends and a Happy Friday to you!

I hope you're all doing well. Ginny here today to share a fun and vintage-y holiday wall hanging I created for Easter. Spring has sprung and I'm so excited to use this colorful and fun new BoBunny paper!

Happy Easter Wall Hanging by Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using the Cottontail Collection and WeRMemory Keepers Flower Punch Board

I'm using the oh-so-sweet Cottontail Collection for this charming little decor piece. For the base I created a large flower with the We R Memory Keepers Flower Punch Board and some patterned paper then added it to a layer of Double Dot cardstock for a nice border and to give a bit of sturdiness.

The Noteworthy die cuts have a fabulous selection of coordinating themed elements to choose from. I was going for a shabby chic color scheme so I picked the white fluffy bunny and layered it over the picket fence from the Layered Chipboard Stickers.

To balance the right hand side of the wall hanging I added an arrangement of BoBunny Blossoms to coordinate with the patterned papers.  Additional patterns from the collection, the Double Dot paper and the scalloped edge from one of the die cuts add detail and interest to the bottom.

A few eyelets with gingham ribbon strung through create a hanger for displaying. Doilies tucked in create fullness in the arrangement and provide a break from the busy patterns.  Last but not least a few Double Dot Jewels for  a little sparkle and shine.

Sit back and watch the step by steps if you'd like! Thanks for dropping in today!  See you again soon!

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : )

Upcycled Mini Wallet Fold Tag Album featuring Charmed with Ginny

Hello there friends!  I've got a bit of a recycling project for you today. I have created a wallet fold mini album with the packaging from an online order and the gorgeous Charmed collection from BoBunny.  I've made this style of mini in the past and been frustrated at the bulkiness of  cardstock I used for the base.  But I found a great solution to this when I unboxed a package and the "filler" paper was just the perfect thinness to be creased well and not get poofy when folded. I simply cut it down to a 12 x 12 inch piece and it was just perfect!

Since this scrapbook is a mini I was able to use the gorgeous cut apart to be the focal image.  I added Double Dot Jewels, fussy cut images, and a few flowers and trim to finish off the front cover.

Inside the mini there are pockets to hold tags. There is room for pictures and mementos to be tucked in with the tags so this would make a really thoughtful gift. The tags are topped with a bit of trim to coordinate with the outside.

The pockets are lined with companion papers. Not only doe this give the pocket a nice finished look but adds sturdiness. The tags have sentiments from the sticker sheet.

The outside pockets have tabbed topped tags with more of the fussy cut images. The back is for photos and journaling.

The outside tags are similar but different for a nice coordinated look.

Please enjoy this process video I've prepared for you on how I created this mini album....

Traveler's Notebook/Album Pages featuring Charmed with Ginny

Hey there friends! Ginny here to share a travelers notebook layout using the Charmed collection.  The theme for this project is to insert things that make me happy.! The first pages I'm dedicating to my faith which is the foundation of my life.

Devotional Travelers Notebook Layout by Ginny Nemchak using Charmed from BoBunny

This lovely Charmed collection has so many cut aparts and pretty paper patterns, I had a hard time deciding which ones I loved the very best for this post.

Fussy cut images from the 12x 12 sheet are layered here with a doily cut from the BoBunny Darling doily die.

I utilized an image from the BoBunny Faith collection to serve as devotional sentiment. It looks great layered over the cut out frame and give a subtle pop of color.

This tag will be the perfect place to add a bit of journaling for a remembrance  Last but not least I added a doodle border to frame the pages and tags.

Love is in the Air! Valentine Card Ideas featuring BoBunny Essentials

Hey there BoBunny Peeps! Happy Valentine Day! Well,  I've had loads of fun creating Valentine cards for friends and loved ones this year.  So, for these two cards, I'm using On This Day in February for these two cards I'm sharing today.

Isn't this a sweet color combination? It's like a box of chocolates from your true love. :)

I've used the cut apart elements for this card and layered them up.

These flowers were handcrafted using Double Dot Paper, a little ink, then topped off with Sugar Glitter Paste and Double Dot jewels.

More of the jewels for this corner.

A Stickable Stencil and a little Glitter Paste will add loads of texture and detail to the backgrounds of your cards. I've layered on an Ornate Doily cut in crisp white. A second variety of flower to balance the larger arrangement.

There's spacers between the layers for depth and dimension.

This card has the same color combination...but a much more updated look .

This polka dot pattern is so sweet with the little hearts mixed in : )

This doily breaks up the blocky edges of the cut aparts. A sweet and simple loopy bow is perfect for this card. Nothing too fussy.

I clipped this calendar section with a bit of a tabbed topped shape and it's a small detail that adds a lot.

Pearly bling here and more of the handcrafted flowers.

Charmed- An Altered Art Display Piece with Ginny

Hello BoBunny Peeps!  It's Ginny here with you today for my first blog post of the new year!
Remember Art Display by Ginny Nemchak using BoBunny CharmedI am excited to be sharing this post using the amazing Charmed collection. I love this collection so much with all it's whimsy and shabby chic colors. It's really dreamy.

I created an art display on a very thick mat board with all the layers I could throw at it.  The more the better!

Remember Art Display by Ginny Nemchak using BoBunny Charmed

Fussy cut sections are joined here by die cuts to anchor the bottom corner. I love that the paper already had painterly dribbles to look like mixed media.

I've layered an altered chipboard heart under this corner to build up the arrangement and add depth. These layers have spacers between to help keep it from looking busy.

I mean you can never have too many fussy cut images right? More of that splattering pattern on the paper means I make less mess of my desk.  Hooray!

All the flowers have been personally handcrafted from the patterned papers as well and given a bit of sparkle with glitter paste.  Last but not least some iridescent sequins to accent.

That's all for me today!  Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

On This Day-One Paper Two Card Ideas! with Ginny

Hey There BoBunny Peeps!

Ginny here to share two cards  made from the same collection. In fact they are made from the same sheet from the new On This Day collection.  Two cards with two very different looks.....

Happy New Year Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using On This Day

For the first card I went all out with the layers and embellishments.  The sweet little snowman was the inspiration.

I created loads of added detail and texture with mixed media supplies and stencils. The 3D powder added to the snowman creates a frosty look. All the papers were edged with Pearlescents in Brilliant Blue.

I fussy cut snowflakes from the reverse side of the 12 x 12 sheet and added brads to create perfectly coordinating embellishments. To accent the edge of the image I applied a generous coat of Silver Glitter Paste.

I divided the Double Dot Flourish into two parts and added a bit to the top and bottom corners. Last but not least layered paper and crocheted flowers with ribbon and twine. A sprinkling of matching sequins to finish off this card.

Winter is the Time Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using On This Day

For the second card I'm still using the images from the January sheet but this time going in a much more restrained direction.

Winter is the Time Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using On This Day
I'm calling this a "woodland" inspired look mostly because there's a woodland in the image behind the tag.
Winter is the Time Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using On This Day

I brought in Double Dot papers in dot and chevron that coordinates with the tag.  I've alternated the scale of the patterns to keep it from getting busy. Spacers between the layers builds in depth and dimension.

Instead of one large doily I added two smaller ones and added them in an offset orientation.

Double Dot Jewels and clear sequins add detail without being over-the-top-busy.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
