Chabby Chic Card Duo - Featuring Black Tie Affair with Ginny

Hello there, Friends, and a happy day to you all!  I'm here to share two cards that I created with the Black Tie Affair collection. If you're thinking I'm going classic black and white these cards might surprise you.  This collection works for shabby chic inspired projects too!

Shabby Chic Card 1  By Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using Black Tie Affair and Mini Alphabet Punch Board

I've pulled out the whites and grays for these cards and layered them with sweet soft pink cardstock. This 6 x 6 card has loads of Noteworthy pieces and a large die cut doily.

Shabby Chic Card 1  By Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using Black Tie Affair and Mini Alphabet Punch Board

To make the ribbon slide I used the Alphabet Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers and created the tops of two A's but on opposite ends of a long strip. I simply wound the ribbon through then wrapped the tails and secured them on the back.  A few Double Dot Jewels are the perfect finishing touch!

Shabby Chic Card 2  By Ginny Nemchak for BoBunny using Black Tie Affair and Mini Alphabet Punch Board

This card is A2 sized and has more of the cut aparts and a smaller die cut doily. For this ribbon slide I punched the ends like in the previous slide...but left the ends squared off. I also trimmed a bit to make it narrower so as to fit the scale better.

The scrap from the cut apart makes an excellent tag when given a coordinating metal eyelet and twine. Instead of my usual poofy bow I created a smaller ribbon embellishment with the trim  and secured it in the center with a Double Dot Brad.

I'm having loads of fun creating unique embellishments with my Alphabet Punch Board. Of  course it's great for letters too!

Okay that's all for me. Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Black Tie Affair - 12 x 12 Layout with Mixed Media, BoBunny Essentials and We R Mini ABC Punch Board

Hello BoBunny Fans!

Emmy here today sharing a layout I created using BoBunny's Black Tie Affair collection and We R Mini Alphabet Punch Board.  I'm absolutely in love with both products! Possibilities to create your own masterpiece are endless!

To create the background I used two different pattern papers from the Black Tie Affair collection. I ruffled and distressed their edges and adhered them together using Sticky Thumb Adhesive. Using a stickable stencil and texture paste I created the white dimensional pattern.

To decorate my page I used various die cut elements from pattern paper and from Double Dot cardstock, which I adhered with Sticky Thumb Dimensional Adhesive Foam Dots.

I used also pre-cut elements from the Noteworthy pack matching the collection and stickers from the 12" sticker sheet.

For my title I used We R Mini Alphabet Punch Board and Double Dot cardstock. I decorated the letters with Double Dot Jewels.

Oversized Card and Tag Duo - Featuring Black Tie Affair and We R Mini ABC Punch with Denise

Hello Everyone!

It's Denise here today, to share a little love and a little Black Tie Affair. I created a card and a large tag with this beautiful, black and white collection. There is something that is just stunning with stark black and white, and just teeny spalshes of color.  For the first card, I picked the lighter shades from BTA.

Then for my next step, I created the card, using the super Mini ABC punch from We R. I then added some detail with fussy cut items and small die-cut blooms from BoBunny cardstock.

Here is the large tag, again, using fussy cut elements.

There are so many pretty elements that can be fussy cut from the patterened papers, that it is hard to know which one's to choose!

I used a BoBunny stencil and black crackle paste for the title.

For the large tag, I also chose one extra colour to give the tag some pop and here I chose a Cerise pink. The little details were added with BoBunny pearlescent and a white gel pen.

I will definitely use this card and tag as a combo and will also use black and white gift paper for the gift.  I just know that it will be elegant and beautiful!

Thanks so much for stopping by the BoBunny blog today and we really hope to see you back tomorrow.

Have a super day!

Denise x

"Love" - an A4 Styled Layout and Home Decor Piece - featuring Cottontail and We R Mini ABC Punch with Angela

Hello BoBunny Friends,

It's Angela here today and I would like to show you a layout in A4 format made with the Cottontail collection.

cottontail_layout_angela_apr18_01.jpg

I started choosing the papers and, since the photo I wanted to use is a little bit dark, I went for white cardstock adhered on Pastels paper, which has a beautiful peachy color.  I stitched here and there the two papers with my sewing machine, without cutting away the threads of the stitch.

cottontail_layout_angela_apr18_02.jpg

Then, I fussy cut a couple of flowers of the same orangish color from Springtime paper and arranged them at the bottom of the photo.

cottontail_layout_angela_apr18_03.jpg

For the title, I decided to use big letters made using the Mini Alphabet punch board by WRMK.

I made each letter twice, in white cardstock and in peach, using the Pastels paper left-over. White on top and peach color underneath, to give a dimensional look.

To give even more interest to the title, I added a little stitch to each letter, always leaving the long threads of the stitching 'flying' around.

The journaling is a beautiful quote of Henri Matisse that I wrote with my old typewriter.

When I started, I had intended for this to be a layout.  After, I was all finished, I decided it deserved to be framed and displayed as a decoration in my home.

Check out the process video to see how this layout came together and I hope you are inspired in some way.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Love,

Angela Tombari

Black Tie Affair - Mixed Media Wedding Layout Video Tutorial with Marilyn

Hello everyone! It's Marilyn here with a beginner mixed media wedding page that I created with the beautiful Black Tie Affair collection.  This line is perfect to work using the wedding photos. Let's take a look...

I started applying clear gesso to all the paper then I gave textures with the Lots of Love Stickable stencil and modeling paste. Once dry I gave white paint splatters to add more textures.

I made a lot of fussy cutting for this page, I cut out the mat behind my photo from one of the papers also the flowers and the hearts.

Before I placed all the flowers I adhered a piece of cheesecloth it gave layers and textured to all the paper flowers.

I adhered some swirls glaze jewels, a few Tuxedo brads and in the center of each flower a jewel that it make the flowers look delicate, love the effect.

Finally I made the "US' with Alphabet Punch Board by We R Memory Keepers and adhered the "Pure Magic" die cut.

I hope that you have time to watch the creative process of this page in the video...Enjoy it!!!

Eat Birthday Cake! - Mini File Folder Folio Card featuring Black Tie Affair

Hello There Friends!

Happy Friday to you all : )  Today's project share is a fun birthday card/file folder min folio. I've used the new collection Black Tie Affair which is basically just 100% awesome! It manages to be graphic and classic and fresh and vintage all at the same time! And so very versatile because you can use it as it is or mix it up and add in your favorite splashes of color.  I picked Double Dot cardstock to use in conjunction with the black and white here.  The Blush Double Dot shade I picked really punches it up.

The inspiration for this project was the cheeky sentiment I created with the Alphabet Punch Board. It's taking over the front cover and I just love how it looks. I wound up creating two sets of the letters then layering the more solid pattern under the print to give the allusion of shadow. To further play up the 3D look I popped the letters up on Sticky Thumb double sided foam adhesives from American Crafts .  The cover also has quite a bit of pattern layering . To keep it from looking like a jumbled up mess I added a top layer of velum that I cut with scalloped scissors for added detail. There's a few die cut doilies tucked in there as well.  The last touch is a tag from the sticker sheet that's been finished off with a coordinating metal eyelet and bakers twine.  The smaller sentiments were created with my old school label maker...the kind you roll the wheel around and squeeze to smoosh the letters into the tape.  Not only does it look cool and retro but adds texture!

Here is a shot of the inside pages:

I created the cover with the Punch Board to look like a tabbed topped file folder. Inside is finished with the coordinating patterned papers. Pockets hold tags with room to include additional mementos...like maybe a gift card or ???? The blush cardstock between the layers keeps the patterns separate and it's used also for the smaller doily die cuts.

Here's the little tags pulled out. Those sweet little circles were on the patterned paper and were easy peasy to cut out using a circle die. Who doesn't like making their own embellishments? I love adding clips to minis because there are times when you want to include a picture or ticket or some small memento that you don't want to permanently adhere to the pages.

This last set of pages has two generously sized photo mats and a really nice area to write in a personal sentiment.

Okay that's all for me today. Wishing all of you a happy and productive day : ) G

Quick and Easy Cards - featuring Black Tie Affair and We R Mini ABC Punch Board with Emmy

Hello BoBunny Fans!

Emmy here today sharing two quick and darling cards I've created using one of the newest BoBunny collections Black Tie Affair.  I'm also showcasing the We R Mini Alphabet Punch Board. I was inspired by the black and white elegance of Black Tie Affair to start. I wanted to add a bit of fun and some pops of COLOR to these cards for some added drama! I will give you a sneak peek in the photo below, but you'll really want to see the full tutorial video at the end of the post to watch the steps.

To create my cards I used white card bases and different layers of pattern paper. After I inked their edges, I adhered all of the pattern paper panels with mounting tape to give extra dimension to my cards.

Using the BoBunny Congratulations card die and a sheet of black pattern paper, I cut the fancy swirls which I placed between the layers of the card.

To create the letters I used We R Mini Alphabet Punch Board and BoBunny Double Dot Vintage cardstock.

I inked the edges of the cut letters and added rhinestones to embellish them.

Check out this quick video for step by steps!

12 x 12 Shadow Box Layout - 25th Anniversary Gift featuring Black Tie Affair with Ayumi

Hello BoBunny Friends!! It's Ayumi here.

Welcome back to the BoBunny blog today! This time I'll share with you a blocking technique for featuring this new Black Tie Affair collection and the We R Memory Keepers Mini ABC Punch.  This is a Shadow Box Layout insert for her grandparents 25th Anniversary gift.

Beautiful by Ayumi Iwashita

First,  I picked the elements in the cut-outs that I wanted to use and arranged them in kind of a "Tic-Tac-Toe" pattern.  From here I mixed patterns, photos, phrases and frames strategically.  I cut thin strips of black and white striped paper, which works nicely to separate the squares, almost into their own little layouts! Looks stunning in our shadow box frame! This is the basic starting point:

Here is a closer shot of the upper left corner, showing layers and detailing:

. . . and the lower right corner to better see placement of the border stickers, jewels and Noteworty pieces.  Also, to cap off the edges of the page, I trimmed and placed a 1/2" frame from outside edge of the Sophistication 12 x12 paper. I felt like the black edge really tied it all together.

Then, I embellished each of the nine sections, cutting out the frames for the small photos for a distinct layout with nice flow.  I used the Combo stickers, Noteworthy, and lots of Sticky Thumb dimensional foam dots so the black and white elements would really show up well in the shadow box.

Also, used this very useful and versatile too, the We R Mini Alphabet Punch to make numbers.
This punch can also make alphabets, and also works well as a go-to corner rounding tool!

This is my first try with this tool and I'm excited to learn what other things I can can create!

Finally this project is finished!  Well, almost . . .  It just needed touches of shine and sparkle with jewels and layered chipboard.

Thanks for stopping by and see you next time for more fun ideas, techniques and creative inspiration!.

Enjoy your happy day!
