BoBunny Boxed Cards Project with Emmy

Hello BoBunny fans!

Emmy here today sharing my first post for October. This week is all about Boxed Cards here on BoBunny's blog. I chose to design with one of my personal favorite collections - Boulevard from BoBunny's summer release.

I used two cards from the box set for the bases of my designs - a reddish one and one is blossoms. For the layers on top I used various pattern papers from the 12" paper pad and the mini paper pad. I inked the edges of the panels using brown ink pad.

To create some of the colourful layers, I used different BoBunny dies.

To decorate my cards I used different Double Dot embellishments - flourish jewels, brads and rhinestones.

The sentiments I selected from the cardstock sticker sheet and 12" pattern paper.

As a final touch I added BoBunny Dahlia Blossoms. I really enjoy to mix-and-match BoBunny's newest collection with their vintage embellishments - the color range is so broad that I can always find the right colors for my projects.

I hope I managed to inspire you today!

Have a great week!

Family Mini Album Video Tutorial featuring Once Upon a Lifetime with Irit

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends!

Welcome today to my BoBunny video tutorial post.

I made a small, card size mini album with a new and most adorable BoBunny collection named Once upon a Lifetime.

Family Mini Album by Irit Shalom

This is an easy to make project and I decided  to make it without any fancy Mixed Media add- ons so the crafters on any level can make the same album.
If you like you sure can add stamping, stencils, mists and more mediums on the cover or inside pages, but I decided to  leave it  as is and the cardstock is so beautiful  that you don't really need to add anything.

Here  are some photos to show it and then you can see the full step by step video tutorial and to make a very similar mini album for your own family and your own memories to keep inside.

This is how it looks from the top:

And from the spine side- one single layered  chipboard was added to the spine:

More close- ups of the album:

And here are some of the inside pages:

Here is my video tutorial and I hope that you like my album and would try to make a similar project with this most beautiful vintage BoBunny collection!
I hope you are able to kick back for a few minutes with us here and get inspired for your future project ideas.!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Once Upon A Lifetime - All Occasion Vintage Card Duo with Ulrika

Hi! Ulrika here today to show you this set of two cards I made up with one of the newest BoBunny Collections.  This one is a new fave!  I loved working with the new Once Upon A Lifetime collection. This line has real heritage vintage feeling about it.

The color scheme in these papers are gorgeous! The grey-blue is so cool!

On the blue card with the crown detail on front titled  "Grattis", I cut some flowers with BoBunny craft dies, and curled up the edges for a visual texture trick.  Then, I placed some contrasting Double Dot Jewels in the center of each flower to make them pop. Add in some strategic inking to the edges of some of the elements, for contrast.

One of the prettiest embellishments, and a personal favorite for me is the layered chipboard elements. These add such a lovely delicateness and splashes of coordinating colors.

Thank so much for popping in to see us today!  Come back again soon for more fun ideas done the BoBunny way!

"Live in the Sun" - Fabric Mini Album - featuring Summer Mood with Irit

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends!

It's Irit here today and I am going to share a hand made fabric album made with a new and delicious Summer Mood BoBunny collection.

"Live in the Sun" Fabric Album by Irit Shalom

Usually I don't make a lot of mini albums. It is time consuming and I don't have so many family photos to fill the whole album.  So this fabric album base was done a couple of years ago and was waiting for a nice paper collection to nicely coordinate with the fabric cover.  And, will be the perfect place to hold all the fun photos we take this summer of my dear grand kids!.   At this stage, it's without any photos.   I just added matting for the future photos to be added there.  Can't wait to start taking photos to fill it up this coming season.

Here is the front cover of the album:

I used one of  my BoBunny Ornate chipboard frames to start.  I trimmed it a bit so it would fit well over the album cover.  This collection has some black backgrounds and elements so I painted it with black acrylic paint for a dynamic accent.   Next, a few cardstock pieces were added inside the frame.
Then more cardstock pieces, die cut to be the higher layer and the pink die cut doily was added as another layer.   I finished with layered chipboard from this new collection as a title "Live in the Sun"

This is how this album looks from the top side.

For more embellishments two painted wooden birdcages were added on the top.

The BoBunny flowers cluster was added on the lower corner and embellished with jewels.
Some combo stickers were added over the frame as the subtitle too.

And here, just to give a glimpse of what it looks like inside, the pages are ready with mats and ready for us to make some memories this summer!

I really tried to keep the as flat as possible, so I kept the inside layers fairly minimal. That way I can load the book with photos of the fun things we do this summer and the bok will still close nicely

All pages were made in the similar way with one photo mat, stickers, washi tape. I added some sayings, swirly jewels with flowers and brads too.

I really hope that you like this project and look how easy this collection makes the whole summer album!   And if you don't make your own handmade albums you can easily recreate your pages in any album.

Thanks for dropping in today to see what we have on deck for new project ideas!  Come back and see us again!

Heritage Photo Frame - Featuring Once Upon a Lifetime with Katherine

Hi BoBunny Fans!  Katherine here with a frame/gift that I made for my Dad using a picture of his Mum and also some of the beautiful vintage papers from Once upon a Lifetime.

I used the Oval Chipboard frame, covering if first with a couple of coats of white gesso, but I kept the brush strokes very rough in keeping the vintage style.  I then inked around the edges with some brown inks to pull out the brush strokes and I also added some copper wax in various areas to tie in with the coppers in the papers.

Whilst all the paint was drying I set to work on creating lots of flowers from the 6" pad and using the Perfect Petals die.  I inked the edges of each flower and then pinched up the petals to give them dimension, for the centre bud I curved the petals outwards and then chose a coordinating jewel for in the middle of the flower.

I used some of the smaller flowers on their own and tucked a doily as an extra layer of laciness underneath.  I cut some of the leaves out of the green paper and tucked these around too.

In the papers you get some fantastic vintage plaques so I cut out the one that said "Mother" to add at the base of my frame.  I also added in some of the BoBunny blossoms and crochet flowers to my paper garlands too.

Thanks for popping in today!  Come back and see us soon!

12 x 12 Layout "Angel" with Video Tutorial featuring Black Tie Affair with Denise

Hello BoBunny Fans!

It's Denise here today, to share a mixed media layout with you, using Black Tie Affair.  This layout was inspired and created in remembrance of our sweet and beloved dog, Blossom.  Gone too soon at 15 months old. I felt that this post would be a lovely tribute and lasting keepsake, showcasing two of my favorite photos of her.

I used the We R Flower Punch Board to get a base collection of petals, then fussy cut the flowers and leaves from the patterned paper, to add to this page.  Both techniques are so pretty and just add beautiful depth, texture and detail to the layers.

Below is a close-up of the punched flowers, as well as the laser cut chipboard pieces.  Next, I added some highlights with a white gel pen, some strategically placed droplets of watered down white gesso and a spritz of gold glimmer.  There is a full set of detailed visual step by steps in the video presented below.

I would love it if you had a look, and hopefully you can see the creative process and be inspired by it.

Our Wedding Memories - A 12x12 Layout featuring Once Upon A Lifetime with Irit

Hello, My Dear Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my first BoBunny April post.  Irit here today and I am going to share a layout made with one of the newest releases by BoBunny, called Once Upon a Lifetime.

The styling of this collection is so far my personal favorite of 2018. I love vintage. I adore the subdued, nicely toned colors and all fine prints in this collection.  I am more than sure that every crafting enthusiast will love using this range.

You can make Steampunk projects with this collection in no time.

You can make Family Tree and Heritage Albums and layouts and to cherish your family.

You can even make the wedding pages with this collection as my page here today.

This picture was just three years ago, the day one of my twin daughters and her husband were married.  This photo was taken just after the ceremony.  As they walked back up the aisle, our photographer, captured this shot. It was immediately cemented as my favorite wedding photo of the day. I love the expressions on their faces and the black and white photography captured this moment in perfect style.

I wanted to keep the white spaces in the background simple, so I only stamped some black flowers here and there.  The detail on the paper was ideal as I was creating and didn't call for much.

I added some BoBunny Blossoms to my main embellishments cluster and stamped and painted over the layers of stamped and hand cut flowers image added under the paper flowers.

Most of the embellishments are stickers from this collection's Combo Stickers sheet and a couple of layered chipboard pieces.  The sticker sheet has alphabet letter in just a perfect size to make a long title and the stickers are most gorgeous for a lot of occasions.

Thanks for stopping by today for some ideas and to see what fun things we have been creating!  Come see us again!
