Vintage Inspired Mixed Media Layout featuring Charmed and On this Day with Marilyn

Hello everyone!!  It's Marilyn here,  I hope all of you are good today!  For my project today, I  made a mixed media layout combining two collections: Charmed and On this Day.  There were so many yummy elements from each collection and I just didn't want to have to choose between them! 

My base paper is the "Dance" from the Charmed collection. It has a beautiful design with zig-sag stitches. First, I applied gesso with a paint brush in the area that I was going to apply paints. Once dry, I added textures with the Lace Stickable stencil and Modeling Paste.

I cut out  images from papers of the On This Day collection. The cute girl and the photo mat are from the March paper and the butterflies are from the April paper.  The book at the bottom of the photo is from the Perfection paper of the Charmed collection.  I rolled the edges of the paper on the photo mat and the book to give the paper some lift and texture. 

I cut and adhered pieces of the Chocolate jewels behind each butterfly to create the effect of the flight route.

I added flower and doily from the Clover Dahlia blossom package and adhered some Emerald pearls seen below:

The Butterfly Flight-A Mixed Media Card featuring On This Day with Angela

Hey BoBunny Friends! 

It's Angela here and this time around for my post on the blog today I had fun creating a mixed media card that I titled:

 The Butterfly Flight by Angela Tombari

I prepared the paper using white gesso, then I created the background using It Is Written stamp and watercolors and lots and lots and lots of splatters.

Then, I fussy cut a bunch of butterflies from the amazing On This Day In April paper of On This Day collection, even though in the end I used only three of them. (Did I tell you how much I love fussy cutting?)

Every butterfly has his word, printed using a Dymo machine. Each word has a specific meaning to me.. . . .  Strength to go on through daily difficulties . . .

Peace for my restless mind. . . .

Courage to accept myself, my limits, my flaws...

Love is in the Air! Valentine Card Ideas featuring BoBunny Essentials

Hey there BoBunny Peeps! Happy Valentine Day! Well,  I've had loads of fun creating Valentine cards for friends and loved ones this year.  So, for these two cards, I'm using On This Day in February for these two cards I'm sharing today.

Isn't this a sweet color combination? It's like a box of chocolates from your true love. :)

I've used the cut apart elements for this card and layered them up.

These flowers were handcrafted using Double Dot Paper, a little ink, then topped off with Sugar Glitter Paste and Double Dot jewels.

More of the jewels for this corner.

A Stickable Stencil and a little Glitter Paste will add loads of texture and detail to the backgrounds of your cards. I've layered on an Ornate Doily cut in crisp white. A second variety of flower to balance the larger arrangement.

There's spacers between the layers for depth and dimension.

This card has the same color combination...but a much more updated look .

This polka dot pattern is so sweet with the little hearts mixed in : )

This doily breaks up the blocky edges of the cut aparts. A sweet and simple loopy bow is perfect for this card. Nothing too fussy.

I clipped this calendar section with a bit of a tabbed topped shape and it's a small detail that adds a lot.

Pearly bling here and more of the handcrafted flowers.

Just a bit of chevron ribbon peeking out here to disguise where I joined the patterns from the cut apart.

Love You More Than Cupcakes! Featuring Double Dot and Dies with Angela

Hey BoBunny Friends!

It's Angela today on a few party time projects and ideas! I have lots of birthdays to celebrate coming up soon, an anniversary and don't forget Valentine's Day!  That's why I'm feeling so crafty.

First, I've prepared a few tags to attach to the birthday gifts . . . . 

I've used the negative cuts from the BoBunny Cupcake Die, creating shaker tags. I used glitter, confetti and lots of fun colors of sequins inside to give it some movement and lots of sparkle!

Using the positive of the same die, I made a few cards.

Last, I prepared a few cupcake toppers for the Valentine's Day. Aren't they cute?

Can you believe that I made all these using just one die? Now, it's your turn to explore new possibilities,  the sky is the limit!

Hello Spring! A Handmade Card Duo featuring On This Day with Ayumi

Hello BoBunny friends!! It's Ayumi here. 

Today I'll share with you two elegant cards in the On this Day collection.

Hello Spring by Ayumi Iwashita.

 

This sets of cards was very simple to to make.  I started with a color wash on the background of the base paper to soften and blend in with the background of the paper.  I did this with two colors of slightly thinned watercolor paints, not mixed together but with both on the tip of the paintbrush. 

Then I fussy cut out the pattern from the pattern paper with scissors. 

Then I adhered the shamrock pattern on to the yellow card stock card base, and stamped it around the border to mimic a stitched pattern without actually stitching it. An easy shortcut!!!

Once I put the fussy cut pieces and the rest of the full card together, it was easy and fun to add jewels to the center of the flowers and a few more strategically placed on the title and on the card face.

Christmas Card and Tag Duo featuring On This Day with Denise

Hello BoBunny Fans


It's Denise here today, to share a matching Christmas Card and tag with you, using the gorgeous On This Day collection.


Firstly, here's the card.

Here is the tag.

I used similar elements and vintage styling to match this card and tag and I will definitely be using them on a Christmas gift this year.

Christmas is always glittery and so I added some Glamour Metallic paint to the trims, as well as the flowers.

I always used a swirl stamp, on both projects, which added some more vintage glamour.

  
I fussy cut the title for the card and really gave it some dimension, with double sided tape. I layered up the petals too and completed the design, around the greeting.

Handmade cards and tags are always special and I know they are appreciated so much!

Hello 2018! Happy New Year Layout featuring On This Day with Marilyn

Hello Everyone!

It's Marilyn here to share a layout that I made with the new On This Day collection! Only a few weeks left until the new year so I chose the January paper to create a layout about it.

My base paper is the Country Blue Double Dot.  I applied textures with the Winter Fun Stickable stencil and White Gesso Primer Paste.

I cut some cards and images from the January paper to create layers on my page. I added some flowers from the Denim Blue Bouquet.

The 3D Powder gives the snow effect so adhered it with the express glue in some areas. 

I applied silver glitter paste over the Heart Laser cut chipboard.

I put some blue pearls and added some white paint splatters.
