"Free Spirit" - 12 x 12 Layout and Video Tutorial featuring Summer Mood with Katherine

Hello Everyone!!  Katherine here with a summery, inky, scallopy page for you using Summer Mood. I love the ice-cream colours, perfect for sunny photos!

I won't talk too much about the page as there is a video you can watch that will take you through all the steps.  I started by creating some over-sized scallops with my WRMK Flower punch, and layered them up.  Then, I played with the Mandala and Picnic die sets with watercolours and some some confetti paste and muslin for a sea net effect.

There are lots of beautiful elements you can cut out from the cards in this collection.

Here are some of the layers of paper and water- coloured lollies from Summer Picnic.

Here you can see some of the layers of colour and painting as well as that beautiful confetti paste.

Have a look at the video - I hope you enjoy it and get a taste of my stlye and inspiration!

Thanks for spending a few minutes with us day! Hope to see you again very soon!

Katherine

"Marvellous Two" - 12 x 12 Layout featuring Double Dot Vintage with Gold Foil, Confetti and Shimmer

Hi Everyone,

It's Angela here today!  I would like to show you a scrapbooking layout made with the BoBunny Double Dots Collection.

The page is dedicated to my boys so this masculine style layout was due. That's why I chose two shades of blue for the page - Blueberry Vintage mounted on the Dark Denim Vintage.

A brief story behind the photo. My son Francesco was sick that day and he spent all the afternoon seated on the sofa, watching soccer matches on TV, together with his brother Filippo. All my efforts to turn the TV off miserably failed. So, I decided to take a picture of that, as an evidence of the facts!
I shot several pictures with my phone, then I made a collage of nine pics using an app called Pic Collage and last I printed them with my printer on an A4 photo paper.

I chose "Marvellous Two" as a title for my page because, seriously I'm the mum and I think they are really marvellous!  Also, because of that adjective, "marvellous" (written in the UK spelling) - I used a marvellous gold foil transfer alphabet, which is one of my preferred and most favorite BoBunny products ever. I love the way it actually shines on the page.

The alphabet is very easy to apply and sticks well. The trick I use is to cut out each letter I need and transfer it one by one. This way I can also position the phrase exactly where I want.
For the layering under the photo, I used a stripe of white crate paper that I pinch pleated and a sheet of vellum.

After that, I machine stitched all around the paper, before transferring the title, since the foil is delicate.

To add even more brightness to the page I used the BoBunny Gold Confetti Paste between the title words. I added a couple of butterflies to create a connection with the same cluster at the bottom of the page.  Confetti paste has the same shine as the gold transfers and ties it all together so well!

Every photo has his own caption, little words stamped on white cardstock and a mat made out of the same Double Dots Blueberry paper of the layout.

I hope you like the layout and thanks a lot for stopping by.

Love,

Family Recipes-Cards, Cards, Cards! With Katherine

Hi BoBunny Fans,

Katherine here and today I am sharing some cards that I made using the new Family Recipes collection.

cards by Katherine Sutton using Family Recipes by BoBunny

Here are the cards all together, I used the 6" Family Recipes pad for all of the cards as I love the smaller sized designs for 6 by 4" cards.

For this card I started with the Bon Appetit paper for my background and then added a little area of thick Gesso in the centre with a palette knife.  Whilst that was drying I then curled some strips from the Thyme paper, and matted and layered my sentiment.  I cut out some oven gloves from the 6" paper Pantry - they are the perfect size for cards!  I added wire behind them so I could hang them from my the central sentiment.  As a finishing touch I used the frame from the Congratulations die set.

For my next card I started off by layering up the Cuisine and Thyme papers as well as making my own tag.  I added some stamping using the circle stamp from the Doodles Stamp set with gold embossing powder.  I then added lace and my tag.  The next layer was the Tick-Tock die-cut.  This dies has really fine detail and it cuts beautifully.  In the centre of the clock I added a yellow pansy, then for a little more glamour, some 3D balls and some of the beautiful Confetti paste in Gold.

Here you can see the Doodles stamp and Confetti Paste.  I love how the chunkiness of  the Confetti  Paste stands out and catches the eye.

For my final card, I used the Mandala die as the central element - I layered it up and trimmed it to fit. I used the long Happy Birthday sentiment and cut it in two, then layered some thick weave burlap behind it and also circled it with wire.  I added some Rich Gold Metallic Glamour Acrylic to both the fabric and metal and it took really well.  A little bit of bunting and some more confetti paste and my card was done.

Craft Essentials with Marilyn

Hello Everyone! It's Marilyn here and today. I'll share this mixed media page that I made using the new dies and the new Serendipity collection.

I used the Mandala Die to make 3 doilies that I adhered with Pentart- Gel paste to my base paper (Feathers) to create textures and a design. I added more textures with the backsplash stencil with Primer Paste- Gesso and Sugar Glitter Paste

I embellished my page with The Noteworthy die cut pieces and I selected one of this piece as my title.

I love the effect and the textures that the doilies give to the background. I cut out the bird house from the Greeting paper

I apply the Gold Confetti Paste and 3DPowder with Gel Paste, you can see all the textures from this angle.
