Full of Flavor Family Recipes Binder-with Rhonda

Misc Me Recipe Binder featuring Family Recipes by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Misc Me Recipe Binder featuring Family Recipes Collection and Pentart Mixed Media designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel
Thursday greetings to you, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog. For my project today, I've used one of our Misc Me 8" x 9" Kraft Binders and added some Pentart Primer Paste Gesso and then a bit of Pentart's Creamy Acrylic Gold Paint. I liked the gold dot design of the binder, but for this project, I wanted to soften the look to subtle texture.

After the base was dry, I then used the Cascade Stickable Stencil along with Pentart Structure Paste for the quatrefoil pattern. I let it dry, then added Glimmer Spray splatters in Bronze, Frost, Sugar and Gold. The Structure Paste absorbed those colors so nicely.

After the paste was dry, I applied some random stamping and then added a bit of the Gold Confetti Paste and a bit of the Gold Foil Transfers in Accents.

I used one of the small 4 inch doilies and painted it with Pearlescents in Sugar, Gunmetal and Butterscotch. I stamped it also and then adhered to the binder using Pentart Media Glue.

I selected the blue paper and the black metal flower accent from the Ephemera Pack. I found the sentiment embedded in my "Cuisine" patterned papers and cut it, then did a simple border punch. A few more layers and some simple alpha stickers brought the cover all together.

I've kept the interior pages very simple and functional. The Recipe Cards pages here are fantastic! I'm a real fan of slow cookers and now the new electric pressure cooker too. This recipe binder is the perfect go-to place to keep all of my recipes. I'm going to make 2 sections, one for Pressure Cooker Recipes and the other for Slow Cooking only.

Upcycled Notice Board with Katherine

Hi BoBunny Friends!

Katherine here with
an upcycled Cookie Sheet/Baking Tray turned into a notice board with Family Recipes. I've also included a picture tutorial on making some fun decorative flowers.

Cookie Sheet using Family Recipes by Katherine Sutton for BoBunny

I started off by giving my cookie sheet a really good clean, and wiped it with vinegar too.  I then added some Dekor Art Primer and used the chalk paints in Soft Apricot.  It took about 3 coats to get a good dense layer of paint.  I then added some texture with texture paste and the Fancy Flourishes artists stencil.  I coated that in apricot and then once that was dry added a mix of watered down acrylic paints - using egg plant and gold, and also some of the glimmer sprays in gold and bronze.

I tucked in the Tick Tock die cut, and added elements I had cut out from the 6" paper pad too.  I used Double Dot paper to make all my flowers in co-ordinating colours.

I used the same technique for both of the flowers in the Perfect Petals die, this is the one that looks more like a daisy.  To create the largest flowers I cut out 2 of each sort.  To make the smaller ones I just reduced the number of layers.

These flowers are known as water-distressed as you start by wetting them and then scrunching them all up.  Once they have dried a bit, but are still a little damp, unfurl them and you can start to ink and shape them.

I added brown ink to all the layers, and starting with the largest flower I bend up the leaves where they hit the centre, and then just shaped them.  I make the final flower into a bud by twisting it so all the petals stand vertically - sometimes I add glue just to hold it in-shape a bit better.

I then glue all the layers together in the middle, slightly off-setting the petals as I go, and again you can shape them a little more as you do this.

I added some of the Tuxedo Brads to the centres, and also some of the rich gold glamour paint which shows up beautifully on the red flowers.

I altered some old magnets - they were rectangular so I just covered them in layers of paper and little elements that I had cut out from the 6" pad.

I hope you have enjoyed the tutorial and have a go at making some of the flowers.

Altered 3D Recipe Box featuring Family Recipes- with Solange

Solange

Hello everyone! It's Solange Marques here!
Today I'll share with you a project using the new Family Recipes collection.
I simply fell enchanted with this collection and I've made a Recipe Box:

First of all, I applied black gesso and then white gesso all over the box and I used a sandpaper on the edges. Then I've applied Pentart Chalkboard paint on the cover of the box and the I've used a Bobunny mask stencil with chalk. To finish it I've glued  down some fussy cutting from this collection.

The sides of the box I've decorated with papers from Family Recipe collection:

On the inside of the box I placed the recipes cards with a few of my most loved recipes:

Family Recipes-Cards, Cards, Cards! With Katherine

Hi BoBunny Fans,

Katherine here and today I am sharing some cards that I made using the new Family Recipes collection.

cards by Katherine Sutton using Family Recipes by BoBunny

Here are the cards all together, I used the 6" Family Recipes pad for all of the cards as I love the smaller sized designs for 6 by 4" cards.

For this card I started with the Bon Appetit paper for my background and then added a little area of thick Gesso in the centre with a palette knife.  Whilst that was drying I then curled some strips from the Thyme paper, and matted and layered my sentiment.  I cut out some oven gloves from the 6" paper Pantry - they are the perfect size for cards!  I added wire behind them so I could hang them from my the central sentiment.  As a finishing touch I used the frame from the Congratulations die set.

For my next card I started off by layering up the Cuisine and Thyme papers as well as making my own tag.  I added some stamping using the circle stamp from the Doodles Stamp set with gold embossing powder.  I then added lace and my tag.  The next layer was the Tick-Tock die-cut.  This dies has really fine detail and it cuts beautifully.  In the centre of the clock I added a yellow pansy, then for a little more glamour, some 3D balls and some of the beautiful Confetti paste in Gold.

Here you can see the Doodles stamp and Confetti Paste.  I love how the chunkiness of  the Confetti  Paste stands out and catches the eye.

For my final card, I used the Mandala die as the central element - I layered it up and trimmed it to fit. I used the long Happy Birthday sentiment and cut it in two, then layered some thick weave burlap behind it and also circled it with wire.  I added some Rich Gold Metallic Glamour Acrylic to both the fabric and metal and it took really well.  A little bit of bunting and some more confetti paste and my card was done.
