Personalized DIY Mother's Day Card

Hello hello everyone!

Today I want to show you a Mother's Day card i made for my mother. I actually wanted to do a little bit of a different card this time so instead of using a colored digi or something like that I took a picture of my mother to use on the front side.

She also loves this heather color that is also similar to the color on this beautiful lilacs on the paper so this was a perfect paper to use for her. I did cut out some of the lilacs from the paper and use it as decorations on my card.

Some of the papers are perfect to cut out bits and pieces to use as decorations and so on and that is what I have done on this card. Also on the inside I decorated this card for her. Also used the sweet celebration stamps that has a lot of nice sentiment stamps for different occasions.

Mothers Day Card with Gold Foil

Hi there!

Today I want to share with you a Mother's Day card I made for my mom. Since she loves these colors, I have been using the Only You collection for her card.

I also fussycut out a heart that said Love You and then I used the gold foil transfer sentiments. I found the word mom in it so I only used that word and put it under the "love you" text in the heart. It was perfect!

I put some gold around the edges, my mom loves when it sparkles so I think this card will be perfect for her. I think she will get this together with some flowers and chocolate.

The gold foiled sentiment was SO easy to use and it looks lovely!

A Mom's Day Mini

Since it was Mother's Day this week, we are going to 

do a couple posts that highlight our moms.

Today, Sam Wright has made a darling mini album

out of the Noteworthy packaging.

When it comes to love, MOM's the word

" I created this mini album using the Noteworthy packaging as my base and cover. I also used packaging within my album as embellishments/ journaling spots.

 Take the Noteworthy packaging with the little flap on your right and score at 4"

Next cut a piece of patterned paper 5" x 9". This will be your front cover. Turn the Noteworthy card over so that the little flap is on your left. Glue the paper down. The paper does not cover the flap!!

 For the inside cover:
Cut one 5" x 6" piece of patterned paper
Cut one 5" x 8" piece of patterned paper.
Glue the smaller piece from left to right. The paper goes over the fold(to strengthen the spine)
Taking the second strip- score at 3" and glue the remaining 5" from the centre to the end of the book. This will not cover the small flap either.
The 3" piece that is not stuck down, becomes the first page of your mini!

 Designer tip: To add strength and to ensure the album does not come apart I use double sided tape. However.... PLEASE BE WARNED.... accidents happen easily as there is no repositioning embellishments or paper once it has stuck!!
