Fall Stamped Cards with Elena

Hello BoBunny Fans, the Fall is officially here but for me it is the time to enjoy the bold colors of the flowers in the Garden. That is why I decided to create Roses Cards

I stamped the images of Roses on the Cream cardstock using Rose Garden Stamp. Then I colored the images with the Copics and cut them out. But some of the images I stamped on the Double Dot cardstock and heat embossed with the golden powder.

Some of the images I stamped on the background, and the other part I cut out and mounted on each other creating a flower cluster.

For my background I used Peaches & Cream and  Sunflower Double Dot Cardstock, the colors that are great for the early Fall.

To create the sentiment I heat embossed the quote from Gratitude Stamp Set.

And embellished my cards with the jewels.

The are great as they have different size and colors.

Trends in Layout Form

We have seen so many different collections this week incorporating some fun trends!

Today you will find that each designer has used a different collection but they have used some of the same trends! It's so fun to see the same trend used in a different way!

Just Breathe by Romy Veul

Doilies are one of my favorite products to use on my scrapbook projects and I simply love the doilies that Bo Bunny offers. I find that they make a nice way to incorporate a non-square or rectangle shaped layer among my paper layers. Doilies can also be a great way to draw more attention to your photo by matting your photo on top of it.

Hearts are another kind of embellishment that I love to use. On this lay-out I incorporated some hearts to represent my love for the simple moments in life. The balloons that I used also represent the 'Life is a party' theme.

Designer Note: What I love about Bo Bunny's collections is the fact that they are really versatile and can often be used for all kinds of occasions. For instance, the Baby Bump collection is not only suitable for baby or pregnancy themed lay-outs, but can be perfectly used for summer photos as well. On this lay-out I actually mixed the Baby Bump collection with papers from the Pincushion and Pop Quiz collections.

Love Feathers by Agnieszka Bellaidea

There are products and colors I like to use all the time. Well, I also get bored with them and every now and again I  like to create something different. This time I wanted to use several items what are very trendy now; feathers, doilies, wooden chipboards, and clocks. To make it all look good I made my page monochromatic, with several shades of green and addition of beige, gold and black. I also made sure my photo will be matching my page.

Love Love Love By Bernii Miller

There are so many hot trends right now in the Scrapbooking industry that I find myself often adding some new trend into one of my layouts. I love how BoBunny's collections are so easily adaptable and with a few different trends you can achieve totally different looks. I managed to include gold, watercolor, feathers, Velum, arrows and  a string cluster to my Love Love Love layout.

For this layout, I mainly used the Winter Wonderland Collection as I really wanted to highlight the blue tones from the photo. To replicate the look of water, I decided to add watercolor in two different shades of blue to the background, making sure that I used gesso and a template first to help stop the card stock from warping. I then went around the back and added some random inked "splatters" using the BoBunny stamp set.

I also made this feather arrow, using my Silhouette Portrait and some cut files. I then simply heat embossed only the tips of the feathers, with gold embossing power although glitter would also look fabulous in it's place. I then attached the feather to a kebab skewer and then attached it to my page with foam dots to help add some dimension.

Trends: Feathers and Doilies and Wood..OH MY!

This week is all about trends! Our design team got to emphasize their favorite trends in their projects this week!

What are your favorite trends? Is there a trend you would like to see our design team work with? Leave us a comment and we will work some of your suggestions into our future calendar!

Winter Fur by Irene Tan

The trends which I've picked to create this layout with are watercolors and feathers. I love using watercolors on my layouts. They are so versatile that you can use it to create whatever background you want for your layout. In this layout, I've used it to add colors, masked a feather image and create a flow direction. I've used the misting and splattering techniques to create my background.

To create the feel of "winter fur", I've incorporated the use of feathers on this layout. I've used the feathers and some cut out chevrons to create the flowing direction in the design of this layout.

Incorporating the latest trends into your scrapbook pages is so much fun. The trends I choose to use on my layout are doilies and gold. I used the 3 different sizes of BoBunny doilies to customize my background paper. Then, I added touches of gold using a Gold Krylon Leafing Pen and chipboard from the Head Over Heels 12 x 12 Chipboard. For more details on how I created my doily background paper please visit my blog 17turtles.

Every year new and exciting trends are introduced that help feed the excitement and artistic drive that scrapbooking brings.  A couple of trends that I love are doilies and wooden embellishments.  I particularly love heritage style scrapbooking and using doilies and wooden embellishments  adds the perfect dimension to projects, blending together to  create a softer  layout.

Ive cut apart some of the doilies to help them go further, and used two of the different sizes that are available.  In this case Ive left them in their natural state but they can be easily altered using inks and stamps etc.  Ive also kept my clock hands natural and again these are easily altered.

Designer Tip: By using a craft knife to partially cut the design on the base paper allows for layering in behind the main design
