Lets Ride! by Megan Gourlay

Washi tape seems to be an addictive embellishment that has been around for awhile but one I never really got, and now I'm wondering why? lol.  BoBunny has come up with some funky designs to match their paper ranges, and after a bit of sleuthing around on the internet I found out it was easy and fun to use.  I love that its so forgiving on mistakes! - the anal part of me wanted my strips straight and they weren't but with some re-adjusting they were exactly where I wanted them.  I wish all mistakes were that easy to fix!

My Godson Jack is 4 and loves racing up the long drive to the house on his bike.  I was looking for papers to tie in with this photo and kept coming back to Modern Miss - the rebel in me quite likes that I've turned something that is supposed to be feminine range into something more masculine.

Designer Tip:  By splitting the banner from the Noteworthy range in two you can layer them on top of each other for a more dimensional banner.

Our Little Monster by Evgenia Petzer

Washi tape is definitely trendy and oh, so easy to use! What I love about it- its a bit transparent that gives your project more airiness, and also if you are not happy with the way you have sticked it, you can easily peel it off without any damage to your project. I used 3 different washi tapes on my layout.

Memories by Ilene Tell

I Can't get enough of Modern Miss! And I really love the washi tape that comes with the collection, especially the photo film strip patterened one. I used it throughout to give a more united, cohesive look to the various areas of the layout. I love how easy it is to re-position as well, and that the lighter areas are see-though - gives it a more artsy feel, which went well with the collection.

I also used the washi tape to make an embellishment - I simply covered a small piece of sturdy cardstock with washi tape and then ran it through my Sizzix Big Shot with a heart die - and viola! - a cute embellishment that perfectly matches the layout :)

Washi Tape Layouts

BoBunny Washi Tape is so fun to create with! The black and white or Kraft washi tape will match nearly every project! If your looking for a fun challenge, try to mix and match the collection specific washi tapes!

"Happy Day" Layout by Kaori Fujimoto

For my assignment, I've used four series of Washi tapes in this layout. I tried to keep it clean and simple to be able to shown the designs well.

Stuck the tapes on white papers, cut and made a flower.

I also punched the form of butterfly.  When using a punch, it is good to stick on thin paper.

With the fun new washi tapes, I created a multiple-layer border to frame in my photo grouping.  Borders like this are great for symmetrical layout designs.

I love how some of the tapes are semi-transparent.  They really blend well and let some of the paper pattern shine through.

My Hucky by Bernii Miller

I must confess that I have a washi tape addiction. So when BoBunny announced that they were going to be introducing this new product to their range, my heart skipped a beat. And true to BoBunny style their new washi tapes coordinate beautifully with their collections, although for this layout I actually used washi tape from the Modern Miss and pop Quiz collections and they coordinate beautiful with the fun and vibrant colors found in the Our Lil' Monster range.

I took inspiration from my favorite pattern Chevron, and decided to create one big chevron arrow in the background, using different washi tape in an alternating pattern.  I then stitched using my sewing machine, in between each row of washi tape, to just add a little bit of interest.

I also made an effort to create interesting layers and embellishment clusters , and to create interest within those I popped foam dots under certain noteworthy elements.

I love using washi tape to either add a subtle touch of color, or like in my layout make it the center piece to my layout and then base the layout around that .
