Everyday Life Layouts

While scrapping, crafting, and preserving the memories of the big moments are an absolute must, have you taken time recently to just scrap something that happens in your everyday life?

This week our theme is everyday life. Share your favorite everyday life creations with us on the BoBunny Facebook page!

Scraps Of Everyday Life by Tracee Provis

As scrappers we record our lives through our pages. When I was asked to create with the theme everyday life I wanted to make something that represented the little snippets that make up my life. I always have the camera close to hand ready to capture those memories so this picture was a perfect fit for my layout.

I wanted to add some smaller pictures of the things my camera is always focused on so I printed them off and fitted them into the Kraft Wood film strip frame. I used one of the stamps from the Distressed Textures stamp set to create some pattern to my Sugar Dot background paper and I also stamped over some of the patterned paper too.

The page itself was made from mostly scraps of Bo Bunny collections. I have a special box for them that sits on my desk, I love some of the irregular shapes that these scraps create and by adding some fussy cut elements and stickers it brings the whole layout together.

En bil till (One more car) by Ulrika Wandler

My everyday life consists of driving my car to the train station in the morning going to work, and then of course home again in the evening.
When the weather is good I take my bicycle, but all winter long I drive my car!

The perfect papers and embellishments for my photo come from Our 'Lil Monster. I love the bright red color in that collection! Almost as much as I love my red car! ;-)

The bar code is from a BoBunny package and I thought it could represent the cost for buying a car... ;-)
But the car was of course more expensive than any BoBunny product...

Fur Ever Friends by Amy Voorthuis

I have to admit when I was asked to create a layout about my everyday life a lot of things popped up in my mind. But one thing the most & that's walking with our pup every night! Everyday around eight all four of us walk a hugh route in the park. Fibi enjoy's it so much because she can walk free.

This picture was taken when Kevin & Fibi where at the waterside just before she accidentally fell in :-))) and brrrr it was so cold!

The BoBunny blossoms are my favorite flowers to work with. The one with the paw print on it is partial handmade and partial BoBunny. The top layer I created myself with fabric which is my new addiction. The rest of the flowers are all BoBunny.

Back To School Notebooks

Today is our last day of projects to help you get ready for the school year ahead. Have you enjoyed all the fun projects? Today we are sharing some fun notebooks to help you keep your children or maybe even yourself organized for the new School Year. Wouldn't it be fun to have a decorated notebook to start the year?

Navy and white Notebook by Agnieszka Bellaidea

In the middle of the Summer just an idea about going back to school... Yes, you know what I mean. Still, I was thinking about making a nice cover for a new notebook and give it to my girl. I knew I can not make it in my style of layering, distressing and adding many elements, this notebook will be used every day and will get distressed very natural way, on the way to and from school.

I did some stitching on the strip of the paper and added washi tape next to it.

On the back cover I just added another paper of the patterned paper with hand wrighting and another chipboard from older collection.

Composition Book Redo by Lisa Gregory

Going back to school in style can be fun. I took a simple black and white composition notebook and covered it with patterned paper. Then I began building my design by fussy cutting designs from other papers and building upon the base.

I fussy cut the Progress Report design and mounted it on corrugated cardboard. I slipped some edge punched strips underneath before adding it to the middle of the cover.

The flowers and leaves were all dies cut and assembled in layers. The buttons were used for the middles of the flowers.

Lunch Box Treats and Notes

Can you believe it's already time to start packing lunches for your children again?! Make your kids sack lunch extra special by adding a crafty touch! Your little darlings will smile when they have a fun note, or a crafted lunch sack!

What other fun things do you do for your children to remind them you love them once they start back to school?

Schoolday Treats by Ulrika Wandler

My country, Sweden, is one of the few countries in the world that offers school children free lunch every day. It's healthy and nutritious food, and I think it's great! So this was quite a challenge for me since I never provide my kids with lunch boxes. But if I did, maybe this is what it would look like? A paper bag filled with yummy sandwiches!

And two small boxes to put some treats in!

As you can see I have used BoBunny's cool school themed collection Pop Quiz. The papers are perfect for this one!

Maybe a couple of granola bars for a snack?!

I also altered a box with chewing gum.

Patterned paper: Pop Quiz, Bookworm, Library, Hall Pass/Pop Quiz;
Stickers: Pop Quiz Sticker, Pop Quiz Combo Sticker

Lunch Notes by Keri Babbitt

During the school year, I find myself scrambling to find notepaper for my kids' daily lunch notes.  I start out the year well, but I have to admit, by halfway through, they are lucky to get a note scribbled onto a paper-towel-heart or the back of a grocery list!

So, this year, I'm getting it done right, by preparing the entire year's worth of notecards in one day, ready to go.  I covered a wooden box with some pretty paper and washi tape, to match my kitchen countertop, and then filled it with left-over journaling cards from various Misc Me kits.  The 3x4" size is perfect for slipping into their meal container.  I added a few pens, and the result is a quick, attractive set of note cards ready for each day's lunchbox.

Back To School Teach Gift Ideas

It's that time of year again, it's time for our children to get ready to head back to school for another year of learning. This week we are sharing Back To School projects here on the BoBunny blog. Today, our designers have created some fabulous teacher gifts that are sure to inspire you!

Shadow Box by Denise van Deventer

I thought a shadow box, for the wall of a teachers classroom, would be a really nice little gift. I also wanted to put a little saying on it, that could be inspirational too. If I just think of an entire class of aged 6/7 pupils...I would need a LOT of inspiration too!!

The little quote of inspiration says: A Teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge and wisdom in the pupils - Ever Garrison.

I double embossed this little Kraft wood apple, as well as the chipboard corners on the box frame. The result was really pleasing.

Gift of Time Coupon Book by Rhonda Van Ginkel

When given the assignment for a teacher gift, I reflected back on last year and what seemed to be asked for most often in Kindergarten. It was always time, either volunteer time for special days or to assist in classroom activities. My idea is to give your commitment of time to the teacher so they know they have a little help. The coupon book was created using a Silhouette cut file.

I decided to create nine pages and label them each for the school months of the year, September through May. There are six pages of coupons for one hour of time. The teacher can redeem them by sending them back in the kids traveling folder to let me know when they would like help.

There are three months where I thought it would be fun to include a small gift card. It would be easy to do ones in small denominations for Coffee, Lunch or an Ice Cream or Department Store. At this time I do not yet know our teacher assignments, so I've kept the book gender neutral. The Somewhere in Time collection was really perfect for my project!

For You - Tea Wallet by Bernii Miller

I love the start of a new school year. It is a time to start a new , with new goals , new lunch boxes and a chance to create some fun and thoughtful gifts to all the teachers out there that will be spending the next year with your precious child.

Being a teacher myself I can tell you now that all the gifts are so thoroughly loved and we love nothing more than knowing you appreciate what we do. So when I heard this weeks assignment I knew right away that I wanted to create a little tea wallet , for all those times that teachers are just too busy to each lunch on breaks and only have time to quickly grab a drink on the go. So this little gift is filled with different flavours of teas , but it could also be filled with little chocolates or even different coffee flavours.

I decided to attach the tea bags to some tags, that I made from the Somewhere In Time collection, which I found really matched my project idea/theme. I attached the tea bags simply using a sticky glue dot so that it would stay adhered , but also remove easy at the time of use without ripping all the papers apart.

This was a super fast and fun gift to make for that special teacher in your child's life.

Check out these fun cards that our design team has created!

At This Moment Card by Juliana Michaels

At This Moment Card by Juliana Michaels for BoBunny #bobunny #primrose

I created this card to give to my Mom for Mother's Day. I thought the softness of this collection along with the peaceful floral images would be perfect to create a card for my Mom who loves to garden. To embellish the card, I machine stitched around the outside of the Primrose Noteworthy die cut with gold thread. I then added the pink jewels.

Live Beautifully Card by Juliana Michaels

Live Beatifully Card by Juliana Michaels for BoBunny #bobunny #primrose

I created this card using the scraps from my At This Moment Card (above). In total, I used only 3 sheets from the 6x6 Primrose paper pad. Here are the scraps that I had left. I always find it easier to make a card with scraps. In fact, these will probably be used on a card as well.

Scraps from cards

To embellish this card, I added more gold machine stitching and jewels. I dressed up the die cut from the Primrose Noteworthy pack, by adding a brad and jewel to its center.

Happy Birthday Card 1 by Ilene Tell

You know what I never have enough of? Masculine cards. I keep making flowery, pretty cards because they're fun and well... so pretty. But they really don't work well when you need a card for a man! So I decided to challenge myself to make two birthday cards that would not be flowery or girly and could be given to a guy. I pulled out two masculine-colored collections: "Pop Quiz" and "Woodland Winter". Believe it or not, they work really well together.

I couldn't resist embellishing with a little kraft wood mustache.

"Pop Quiz" has a great sheet called "Bookworm" that has all these tags and library cards. I decided it would be great to have a matching gift tag to add to the gift bag or just the gift itself, so I simply cut it out, inked the edges, and embellished with a large eyelet.

And here is the inside of this card, using the "pop Quiz" lined paper called "Midterm" - I used it inside both cards to give me a place to add my greeting and sentiment.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Paper: Pop Quiz, Bookworm, Midterm/ Pop Quiz
12x12 Chipboard: Pop Quiz, Woodland Winter
Buttons: Woodland Winter, Pop Quiz
Cardstock Sticker: Woodland Winter
Kraft Wood: Mustaches and Glasses

Happy Birthday Card 2 by Ilene Tell

Another masculine card using "Pop Quiz". I really love the colors and patterns in this collection. It is definitely very school-themed and perfect for those types of layouts, but it's still flexible enough to use for other purposes as well.

Again, I used the Kraft wood for embellishments. And I also added a coffee cup kraft chipboard sleeve that I tore at the bottom, to give it a bit more of a rugged feel.

And here is the little matching tag I made for this card as well. They're so cute :) The inside of this card is finished with the same lined paper as the card above.

I used quite of bit of our Noteworthy here in my layers.  You'll also see our pretty brads and some machine stitching for texture.

Freestyle Layout by Lisa Novogrodski

Left to my own devices on this one I decide to use the glorious "Pincushion" collection to highlight this beautiful bridal photo. Loving the greens and peaches and I thought would add a darker contrast with the Blossoms.

I also created a video tutorial of how I put this layout together and you can find that by clicking on my name and visiting my blog.

I wanted to make this page vintage and romantic so I've added a lot of inking along the edges and on my BoBunny Doilies. I also added bits of Washi Tape not only to my page edges but to the photo as well.

A little bit of punching, stitching and modeling paste for some pretty details.

I wanted to mimic that bridal florals so I added a cluster of beautiful blossoms along with some leaves cut from Double Dot.
