What a GREAT Misc Me idea!

Most us know that a Misc Me 8 x 9 binder can be used as a journal, planner, or recipe book.

Have you stopped to think of the other creative uses of a Misc Me?

Bernii and Agnieszka have both shared with us their creative use of the Misc Me product line.

Bernii's GREAT idea: Turn her Misc Me into a showcase album of her own personal handmade clothes.

Agnieska's GREAT idea: transform her Misc Me into a collage of fashion clippings from magazines, add pictures and leave space for her daughter to write her thoughts.

"Sew" Misc Me album using the Pincushion Collection by Bernii Miller

When I first saw the brand new Pincushion collection, I knew instantly what I wanted to document with all of these gorgeous papers. I love all things hand-made and love to create when ever possible. So much so that I started my own hand-made clothing brand. I have always taken pictures of the clothing that I make, but I never really knew how to document them, until BoBunny released this collection.

I have created different tabbed sections within my album using the fun elements direct form the Misc Me Pincushion Journal Contents pack. All I did to create the dividers was align the pages with the clips, marked in with pencil where they aligned and then used my hole punch.

I also grabbed different elements from the Noteworthy pack and decided to add some extra tags in for more interactive fun. The Noteworthy pack is full of so many fun die cuts, that the possibilities are endless.

Here is a close up of the tag with a Pincushion Cardstock sticker added onto it. I then finished it off with some punched butterflies and a cute bow using seam binding tape.

When I created this little Misc Me album I wanted to use as many fun and interactive elements as possible. I was lucky to have an extra bow in my sewing stash, that I simply adhered some Dimensional Magic to the back and stuck it right down on the cute paper frame. I also cut up some of the Pincushion Patchwork paper and cut the strips down to fit the length of the album. Again I just measured out the spaces of the clips and punched holes into the strips. It is just another little way to add a fun element and I really find it helps to unite the two pages in the album into one.

Then to finish off the album I created a spine to match the album contents using again the Sew Cute card stock sticker, adhering it to some card stock and creating a banner.

I have created more fun elements through out my Misc Me album and you can check them out on my blog over at http://weekendatberniis.blogspot.com.au/. There you can see more of how I used the Pincushion collection to create my Misc Me album.

Fashion and Style Misc Me by Agnieszka Bellaidea

I never expected I would have so much fun creating a project with the new Misc Me products. I had the idea of mixing photos, fashion ideas and hand notes. I remember a long time ago seeing my Mom make something similar.

I mostly used elements from the Pincushion collection, but I also added some parts from The Avenues and Zip-A-Dee-Doodle to show you how nicely our collections mix together.

I think Misc Me can be a great gift for someone and I hope my girl will like this one I made for her. I left plenty of space for her to fill in and we can continue to work together on this because there are still many pages left.

Corset Home Decor by Irene Tan

This is a little home decor that I've created for my daughter's room. It's a display corset. I've used an acrylic corset piece to alter for this project. The sweet and feminine Pincushion collection is perfect for this. I've chosen the peach and white tones from this collection to suit my daughter's room.

This corset display piece can be opened up and there is a sweet little reminder quote in it.

Desk Organizer by Megan Gourlay

Pincushion with its gorgeous green, peach, grey and white tones, invokes thoughts of hand sewing and embroidery to me, all things I grew up doing. One of my first hobbies was embroidery, and then cross stitch so I really like this range, it brought back lots of memories.
I've wanted or should I say needed for awhile now, something extra to pop all my desk top bits and pieces into. As I was throwing the cocoa container into the recycling, I had an idea, and the desk to organizer was born.

The spools go perfectly with the whole Pincushion theme and they're really easy to make with some grunge paper and chipboard. I then decorated with some fussy cut images from the papers and some charms from my stash.

I cut a strip from the Patchwork paper in half and layered it underneath another strip from the same piece of paper. Then I added some punched Double Dot to create the decorative element for this tin. It was really simple to create, but it looks effective right?!

Pincushion Collection Layouts

It's amazing how the same collection can create so many unique and beautiful projects!

It is so rewarding for us to see all of your creations!

Be sure to share your BoBunny creativity with us on our Facebook!

Love This by Juliana Michaels

I couldn't help using a couple BoBunny Doilies on my layout. They seemed like the perfect accent along with Pincushion Noteworthy, Layered Chipboard, Combo Stickers and Cardstock Stickers. To create the "measuring tape" border, I cut various strips from the Measurements Patterned Paper. I selected pieces that matched in color and pattern and then layered them with each other to create the look of a measuring tape.

The title piece was created using a die cut from the Noteworthy set along with some stickers from the Combo Sticker and Layered Chipboard. I cut the large heart on the left hand side from the Noteworthy piece. Next, I added the "love this" sticker and then reattached the heart with a piece of double sided foam tape to give the entire element more dimension. To help dress it up even more, I added the Layered Chipboard flower and the "happiness" sticker.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Backstitch, Doilies, and Measurements/ Pincushion
Stickers: Pincushion Combo Sticker
Chipboard: Pincushion Layered Chipboard
Noteworthy: Pincushion
Doilies: 4" Small, 6.5" Medium

Cherish by Gabrielle Pollacco

I thought I'd have a little fun with this page and get messy!  I really love the fun Toile designs in this collection so I used the one above as the base of my page.  I wanted the design to be a little less busy in the center of the page where I would be adhering my photo and embellishments so first I gave the page as soft wash (dry brushing) with some white Gesso....fading out the gesso as I move out to the edges.

I then started layering on some colors sprays in coordinating colors and layered on some stamp designs with a variety of stamps (I've listed the Bo Bunny Stamps I've used below).

I made the rose using one of the floral papers in the Pincushion collection with a flower die cut.  When my page was done, I did a little dry brushing with some aqua paint, dabbing here and there to bring in an extra color value.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Toile (both sides), Tailored, Sew Fun/Pincushion
6x6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Buttons: Pincushion

Pincushion Cards and a Tutorial

The Pincushion line is fabulous for almost any occasion. Be sure to take a peek at all the cards and you will see the versatility in the colors!

Gabrielle has created a wonderful tutorial for you today on her Pincushion Thank-you Card.

Do you like tutorials? Leave us a comment below and let us know.

Pincushion Thank-you Card by Gabrielle Pollacco

I just love all the beautiful sewing and stitchery designs in the new Pincusion collection so I thought for my first card using this lovely paper I would do a gather paper technique that is reminiscent of gathered fabric.  Sometimes it is easier to show how a technique is done that it is to explain it, so I made up a video tutorial showing the making of this card from start to finish (see below after the close-up).

I combined the Pincushion patterned paper with some Bo Bunny Double Dot cardstock (Tutu) and added in some stamping and coordinating embellishments to create this page.  Here is a full step by step tutorial so you can 'watch the process'.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Polka Dot Pattern, Tailored/Pincushion
Cardstock: Tutu, Clover/Double Dot
6x6 Paper Pad: Pincushion (green plaid)
Buttons: Pincushion
Noteworthy: Pincushion
Stamps: You're Invited, Distress Textures, Powder Mountain (script)

Love You Card by Gabrielle Pollacco

For my second card I thought I would play up the black and whites with one accent color, in this case aqua.  I used Ocean Double dot paper  along with stickers from the Pincushion collection.

I used some of the lovely Bo Bunny flowers to accent this card.  These ready made coordinating blooms make putting a project together so quick and easy.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Pincushion, Sew Fun/Pincusion
Cardstock: Ocean Double Dot
Stickers: Pincusion Combo Stickers
Flowers: Bouquet/Denim Blue, Zinnia/Denim Blue

Handmade Buttons card by Romy Veul

On this card I focused on the beautiful peach and orange papers of the Pincushion collection. I thought they would make a great girly and romantic card.

Isn't this button card just way too cute? I stapled a chipboard label holder and heart upon the button card from the 'Layered Chipboard' package to make the button card stand out a little more. I also used dies to further embellish my card.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned paper: Pincushion/ Pincushion
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Chipboard: Pincushion 12x12 Chipboard, Pincushion Layered Chipboard Stickers

Heart Banner Card by Romy Veul

My second card is actually rather simple. I wanted to use the beautiful chipboard banners on this card and found that they actually shined the most by keeping the my design rather simple.

I attached the heart banner on top of the flag banner for some extra dimension. Some of the hearts are decorated with pearls and glitter glue for a glittery touch. I also added a few punched butterflies to my card.
My sentiment is stamped with the beautiful 'You're invited' stamps.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Seamstress, Backstitch/ Pincushion
6x6 Paper Pad: Pincushion
Chipboard: Pincushion 12x12 Chipboard
Large Stamps: You're Invited Stamps
