Mix & Match Layouts

Alright BoBunny fans, we have a challenge for you! We are mixing and matching this week on the blog! So it's time to test your BoBunny knowledge, can you look at these layouts and name all the collections the designer has mixed and matched?? No Cheating! Ready go!

Remember - by Megan Gourlay

One of the things I love about scrapbooking is being able to mix and match different collections and brands.  Today I'm sharing a layout I have done of my Mum when she was about 5-6yrs old during the time she was Highland Dancing, and I've used The Avenues, Enchanted Garden and Somewhere in Time.  The muted shades of aqua, grey and cream work so well together I think!

I've randomly stamped on my background paper with an archival ink because its waterproof, and then used my fingers to blend together pearlescents and glitter paste!

I've also used those gorgeous pearlescents to create the 'pearl' centres on my flowers and then added a lot of fussy cutting from various patterned papers to create a cluster of elements.  Some elements are popped up to create depth.  I have journaled behind my photo some of the stories Mum has told me about her days dancing, those stories need to be kept!

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Spellbound / Enchanted Garden; Antiquity, Chrononaut, Timeless / Somewhere in Time; Clocks, Doors, Stripe, Trellis / The Avenues
Noteworthy: Somewhere in Time
Stamps: It is Written, Distressed Textures
Pearlescents: Sugar, Island Mist
Glitter Paste: Gold

I found that quite an old photo of my friends wedding, and decided to give it a go. I focused mainly on Enchanted Garden collection, but also used bits and pieces from three other ones. Did lots of fussy cutting and layering on this layout.

Every Day Life Layouts Round 2

We are just loving this every day life theme! It is so fun to learn something new about the design team. Enjoy these fun layouts from Maria, Kaori, and Juliana! Could you create a page about the same things as any of these ladies?!

Everyday Routine by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

Ahaha, my everyday life! My everyday life - is daily routine, even though it sounds very boring.
And every day my face looks that way - I do try to smile, but my eyes are closing themselves because I terribly want to sleep.

Fuss and a huge amount of work in progress, the cries and noise, the constant haste mail and e-mails, the Internet and the usual household chores - that's what my everyday life is!

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Endless Love/Head Over Heels, Periodical, Fantasy/Enchanted Garden
Kraft: Gift Bag Chevron
Washi Tape: Black & White Patterned
Stamp: To The Point

Coffee Layout by Kaori Fujimoto

I love coffee. I drink it every day.
I did not like it very much when I was a girl. But I was a veterinary medical student, studying for the national examination, I started drinking coffee to shake off my drowsiness. Now, coffee has become indispensable to my life.

I added  a little blue ink and white gesso to give a fresh feeling.

Cut some Balloons from "Balloons" paper and to add a three-dimensional effect, I adhered them using double sided foam tape.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Balloons, Imagination, Keepsake, Passage, Timeless / SomewhereIn Time
6x6 Paper Pad: Somewhere In Time
Jewels: Autumn Song
Stickers: Somewhere In Time Combo Sticker
Stamps: Stitches Stamp, It Is Written Stamp, Wall to Wall Textures Stamp
Doilies: 4in Small Doilies

Running Scrapbook Page by Juliana Michaels

Running Scrapbook Page by Juliana Michaels featuring BoBunny Modern Missa

As you can see from my journaling, I started running this past May. It has become a part of my weekly routine, as I run 3 times a week to keep in shape. The regular exercise has done a world of good for me in more ways than one and I plan to continue doing it.

I took all of these photos using my iPhone and I have been posting them on Instagram to keep track of my running routine. I thought it would be fun to select some of these photos and create a layout to help record my running and why I started. I selected one photo from each month since I started running, so these represent May through August.

The color of my shoes inspired me to use the Modern Miss collection for this layout. I embellished it with a combination of chipboard, Noteworthy, stickers and brads from the collection. I also included some of the new Kraft Wood Shapes to continue the theme of photographing and recording my running.

So many layouts and so little time! Enjoy!

Timeless by Gabrielle Pollacco

I was so excited when my Bo Bunny package showed up this past week and I just immediately had to dive in and play with the gorgeous Somewhere in Time collection!  I just adore the cogs & gears mixed with feminine things like the corset design.

I began by first sitting down and fussy cutting a bunch of my favorite elements from the collection, like the steampunk style corset and a few of the gears.  For the corset I added a little more dimension to it by adding a fabric ruffle and some cheesecloth netting.  I also added some shimmering black glitter glue and some gold glitter glue (Stickles 'Platinumn') to accent the design.

I used foam pop dots to apply my cut out cogs/gears to the page and then layered over them with the smaller Kraft wood gears from Bo Bunny.  I finished the look with some pearl jewels and shimmering brads.

I chose blooms in neutrals and the sea foam color in the patterned paper in this collection to accent my page. But before I added my blooms I first did a little light painting behind the photo area with some Tim Holtz 'Sea Glass' distress paint and then did a little work with texture paste and a stencil.  I also tried to add a little elegance to my page by stamping with the new Bo Bunny Gateway Stamp.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Antiquity, Beauty, Chrononaut/Somewhere In Time
Stickers: Somewhere In Time
Stamps:  Gateway Large Stamps
Kraftwood Gear embellishments
Jewels: Love Letter

Eddy by Ulrika Wandler

My two sons have two bunnies, they are called Eddy and MÃ¥ns. This layout shows one of them, the leader of the little group, Eddy!

When I received the gorgeous Happy Tails collection a felt a bit sad that I didn't have a dog to scrap pictures about. Then I saw that a few of the embellishments actually had a bunny on them! Perfect for me!

I made the background paper a bit "dirty" with some mist and stamps.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Happy Tails, Cat Nap, License, Purrfect, Menagerie/Happy Tails
Stickers: Happy tails Combo sticker; Happy Tails Cardstock sticker
Jewels: Happy Tails
Chipboard: Happy Tails 12x12
Stamps: Stained Textures stamp
Washi tape: Black & White patterned washi tape

Place in Time by Amy Voorthuis

I have to admit Somewhere In Time is my new favorite collection by BoBunny it has so many steampunk elements like gears, balloons, pretty flowers and my personal favorite corsets.

First I cut out the balloons and pretty blue corset which is totally the prettiest thing BoBunny has ever made.

For this layout I used some gorgeous stamps and just randomly stamped around the borders with StazOn timber brown paint. I also used paste with a word stencil and clock stencil and then added paint to it.

The word love I cut out from the 6 x 6 paper pad they are so handy for just the little things on your layout. Then I distressed the borders and layered it on top of another piece of paper and cut out and distressed it again, to give it more depth I used foam tape to adhere it on my layout.

The picture is one of my husbands grandparents on their wedding day way back, I love to use old pictures especially with this pretty collection.

Pop Quiz Layouts

Pop Quiz is a unique school collection! This collection is so versatile! Our design team shows us today that this collection works for non school layouts, senior year photos, grade school photos, and even kindergarten photos!

Kiekje (snapshot) by Romy Veul

I often tend to go for feminine, romantic and shabby chic collections, but every once in a while I can't resist to also give a more grungy style a try. As soon as I saw the Pop Quiz collection, I knew I wanted to use it to make a more masculine lay-out with lots of stamping, distressing and neutral colours. This collection is so beautiful and versatile and because of its wonderful color scheme it will match almost all of your photos.

I mixed up the Pop Quiz collection with some items from the beautiful kraft collection. The burlap trim in the left lower corner is from the kraft collection, as are the wood embellishments.

Designer Tip: The brown music note 'paper' is actually a kraft gift bag from this collection. I found that it made a nice way to hide my journaling on my lay-out and included a little note inside of it.

Stamping is a great way to give your lay-out a grungy touch. On this lay-out I used my favourite texture stamps: the 'Stained Textures' stamps. I stamped them with brown ink on a few random places on my background paper. I also added a few small strips of washi tape alongside the borders of the yellow paper.

I used two crocheted flowers, chipboard embellishments and wood elements to further embellish my lay-out. To make the chipboard pieces stand out more I accentuated their edges with brown ink.

Supplies:
Patterned papers: Class Clown, Hall Pass, Typing/ Pop Quiz
Double Dot Cardstock: Shadow Vintage
6 x 6 Paper Pad: Pop Quiz
Chipboard: Pop Quiz Layered Chipboard, Pop Quiz 12x12 Chipboard
Noteworthy: Pop Quiz
Buttons: Pop Quiz
Kraft Wood Shapes: Clocks, School
Washi Tape: Kraft Wood Patterned
Gift Bag: Kraft Music Notes
Large Stamps: Stained Textures

Hall Pass - Lisa Novogrodski

Pop Quiz is such a fun collection to work with! I love collage style layouts and this collection lends itself perfectly for that.

This is one of my older daughters senior photos. I love this shot of her especially in the black and white. I was so happy to have a collection perfectly suited to her senior year in High School.
I used a honey color distress ink to ink the edges of papers and do some stenciling on the page. Lots of machine stitching around the edges as well.

I thought it would be fun to do some embossing just in a few select spots on the "Progress Report and Hall Pass" cards layered within the background.

I like to add interest to my pages by layering stamps, stencils, mists, splatters and stitching. You can see here all the texture and interesting dimension this adds to a page.

BoBunny Supplies:

Combo Sticker: Pop Quiz
Washi Tape: Pop Quiz
Buttons: Pop Quiz
Kraft: Wood Shapes School, Camera, Clocks
Cardstock: Double Dot Almond Dot

Stamps: It Is Written, Stained Textures, Distressed Textures

4th Grade by Ilene Tell

I really fell in love with this collection. I'm always on the lookout for back to school papers, since I like to take pics of my daughter on the first day of school, at school functions, etc. And this collection was really perfect for this - it has lots of school-themed patterns, and can go in either a modern or vintage direction, and the colors are absolutely gorgeous. Very rich and colorful. So I was thrilled to get to scrap with it, since I still haven't gotten to my daughter's first day of 4th grade pics! Shame on me!

I loved the chipboard, and die-cut, and brads, and buttons that went with this collection. They really help to add some dimension and interest to the page. I also inked the edges of the layout, added enamel liquid dots in various places, and hand-drawn stitching to accent some of the edges. My daughter liked how it came out, so this page is a winner for me!

Kindergarten… Check Me Out! by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Pop Quiz is such a fun collection full of vibrant colors and perfect for those school or sports photos! I love that it is elegant yet fun and playful all at the same time. The preschool photos that I have of our oldest were perfect to use with the collection.

The doily here is misted with some lemon glimmer mist. I've used the Class Clown paper and cut apart the alpha's to help create some of my title work. The 12x12 Chipboard strip was trimmed to fit. The paper airplane was perfect as my son adores paper airplanes!

We would love to see what you create with this collection! Please share with us on our Facebook wall! I hope we've inspired you to scrap some of those fun school photos you have today.

Primrose Layouts

Life is good by Agnieszka Bellaidea

One of my bigger regrets in life is the fact I had just a regular camera for 36 shots when my children were small. I wish I had so many more photos. Better quality too.... But then, if this is one of my bigger regrets my life is not so bad . At least my memory is good and I remember how much fun we had the day this photo was taken. I remember how much my daughter was enjoying walks between all these beautiful flowers, big pool with salty water , great meals and so much more. This special photo was waiting for me many years and the very first day I got all the Primrose collection I knew what I wanted to do for my project. I love fussy cutting so this will be another favorite collection for me, so many lovely elements to cut off!

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Primrose Bliss, Primrose Garden, Primrose Gate, Primrose Memories / Primrose;
Cardstock: Blush Dot
Noteworthy: Primrose
Buttons: Primrose
Brads: Primrose
Chipboard: Primrose 12x12, Primrose Layerd Chipboard,
Blossoms: Blush Zinna
Washi Tape: Primrose

Beautiful Hair by Gabrielle Pollacco

Gabrielle here to share with you my layout using the gorgeous new Primrose collection!  As soon as I laid eyes on this collection, I had so many design ideas whirling through my head. So many beautiful elements to create with.  I've been wanting to do a pretty soft feminine page design for this photo of my nephews bride....there are always so many pretty details in a wedding and I just loved this photo that showed off her hair and bouquet.

The first thing I did when I got my collection was sit down with a few of the patterned papers (while watching TV) and fussy cut the butterflies and labels from the Bliss and Garden papers.  This way I was ready to roll when I started in on my layouts.  I also went a little crazy with the new Washi Tapes!  I used a whole bunch of strips to outline the framework of my background paper, then added random strips here and there as finishing touches.

I wanted to go for an artsy/mixed media style background on this one, so I used lots of Bo Bunny texture and background stamps along with inks and texture paste.  The small pink blooms where made from one of the patterned papers using a flower die.  I wrote part of the title on my photo using a white Signo Unibal gel pen, this one writes very well on photos.

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Bliss, Garden, Gate, Breath-taking, Memories/Primrose
Buttons: Primrose
Washi Tape: Primrose, Modern Miss, Black and White
Stamps:  Distressed Textures, It is Written, On this Day, Mama-razzi 2
