DIY 2020 Planner

Hello BoBunny Friends,
Elena is here to share the planner I made with Time and Place Collection.

For my cover I created the shaker and put the Plan It Title inside that I made using Thickers from Time and Place collection.

I made dividers for each month using Tab Punch Board  and separate punch to create the stamped parts. I used the stamp set from the coordinating collection too.
For the background I chose Double Dot Papers

These tabs are great for the planners

and of course I used every paper sheet from Time and place paper collection to create the calendar!

You can check my video tour for this planner.

Every page I decorated with the details I cut out from the papers and added a few strips of washi tape.

Also I added the noteworthy elements too,

DIY Teacher Journal and Schedule

Hi there!!!

Elisa here form Italy!! We are in August and it's holiday time, of course! But, September is coming and soon we will say "It's time for back to school".

I decided to dedicate my "back to school" project to teachers. I thought to create a journal, with a weekly timetable part and a school program schedule part too.
Boulevard is the perfect collection for this project.
This collection speaks to me about timeless memories, kindness and lovely people.
I also decided to make a box for the journal. I searched for a vintage look, but with a bit of "harvest" touch.

I think that this is the best quote for a teacher:

I chose this closing system to give a vintage look to the box. Bur I also used some magnets for a stronger lock.

Opening the box, we can see the embellishment: roses on the burlap; and three square stickers in the inner part: other two good quotes and a rooster

On one side, I used a long stickers with a roses composition.

On the other side I used the thicker numbers to write the school years.

Inside the box we find the structure. Two rectangular shadow boxes. The bigger depth  is 1 inch; the smaller is 1/2".

I used the gold alpha thickers to write the word Timetable

A red ribbon keeps together the months for the School Program Schedule

Behind the Months group, in the base of the shadow box, I wrote the word Program:

There is a file for every school month.

Behind each of the, we have space for notes.

And we have space also inside every month file, because they are like "envelope".

Just like a snowflake!

Hi Everyone!  I have some gorgeous paint effects courtesy of the Pentart Dekor Paints and beautiful papers from the Winter Wishes collection.

"Just like a Snowflake You are Unique and One of a Kind", - Katherine

There are lots of layers on this project, starting on the frame so I will talk you through what I did.

This is the frame I used, an old one that had a few knocks and scrapes.  I used the Pentart Primer Paste in order to nicely prime the surface and also to cover up some of those dents.  I used this rather than just the normal Dekor Paint Primer for the base coat as this has a bit more body to cover up some of those knocks.

These Pentart Dekor Paints have a beautiful, chalky feel to them,  I started by covering the primed frame with the darkest colour - Soft Gray.  The coverage is very good on these, and they don't take too long to dry.  After the Soft Gray, I then added a layer of Victorian Pink and finally some Apricot to create a non-uniform look.

Once I had my layers of paint, I used some fine sand paper to rub through the layers, so you can see patches of the gray and pink, I rubbed a little hard in a few areas and ended up with some of the wood showing, and I really liked the look.

After the sanding, I also added a layer of the clear transparent Wax Paste to help seal it.

In this picture I have added some of the Wax Paste in silver, I was a little heavy handed so I added some more white primer over the top to tone it down, plus a little bit of Sugar Glimmer Mist.  I also then went back to add a few extra smudges of some pink and gray paints.

In the middle, I used one of the frames from the Noteworthy collection in Winter Wishes, as it has the most beautiful verse on it.  I backed it on a paper called Icicles and I used my Winter Fun stencil and the silver and sugar glitter paste to create the background.  Then, I added a few Graphite Pearlescent drops, a Christmas tree from the Noteworthy collection be-decked in tuxedo jewels.  Next, some gauze and silver thread and punched snowflakes and I was nearly there.  The final touch was a little more of that Sugar Glitter Paste to add a final touch of sparkle around the frame.

You can see the layers of paints, and a little of the glitter shimmer.

This shows some of the stenciling, using Winter Fun, that I did for the background - I started with the Sugar Glitter Paste first, and left some gaps, then went in with the Silver, giving a nice blended glittery background.

Woodland Winter DIY and Craft Projects

This is our final day of Woodland Winter projects, and we leave you with two fantastic DIY and Craft Projects created by Agnieszka and Megan. We hope you have enjoyed this week of Woodland Winter inspiration! We would love to see what you have created with this collection. You can share it with us in the comments section below or on our BoBunny Facebook page.

Let It Snow Glove Box by Agnieszka Bellaidea

Working with the Winter Woodland collection was so much fun. I wanted to make something pretty, but also useful. Like always, I had many ideas, but the mitten/glove from one of the papers inspired me to make a box to store our winter gloves. We are having a very cold winter this year and wearing gloves is a must. I am also hoping to avoid the question "Mom, where are my..." when we are getting everyone ready to go in the mornings.

If you would like to make anything similar you could use any kind of box, such as a wooden or cardboard box. I used a cardboard box and decorated it with Patterned Papers, Chipboard and Noteworthy from the Woodland Winter collection.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Woodland Winter Cozy, Woodland Winter Journal, Mittens, Peek-a-Boo, Scarf, Snowfall / Woodland Winter
Chipboard: Woodland Winter 12x12 Chipboard, Woodland Winter Layered Chipboard
Noteworthy: Woodland Winter

Remember Noel by Megan Gourlay

2014 has started off a bit sad for my family. My uncle passed away suddenly and while thinking about the times our families had spent together over the years, I started thinking about ways to capture those special moments and thoughts of those people in his life who had shared those moments. I thought it would be would be an awesome way for people to say goodbye if I created a book for everyone to write all those thoughts and to share snapshots of his life.

I had a spiral bound notebook at home that I had purchased from a stationary shop. I separated the covers from the book and covered them with card stock and papers from the Woodland Winter collection. This collection was the perfect colour choice. This collection quickly changed from a winter theme into a project of warm masculine tones, by using the reverse sides of the papers. Reverse sides of papers are great because they can completely change the way you decide to use a particular paper e.g: my base paper is Winter Mittens. Instead of using the front piece with its mittens and winter white colourings, I used the reverse with its blue colour leaning towards a more masculine theme, which is just what I wanted.

Designer Tip 1: The picture frame is taken from two sheets of Peek-a-Boo.  I cut the window out of both pieces, removing the woodland scene and adding a plain piece of paper behind it so I could add my title.  The top piece is layered with chipboard to help the separate the two layers and give it more dimension.

Designer Tip 2:  I wanted my alphas to be brown but didn't have any in right shade so I took some white ones and coloured them with Pinecone ink.

Woodland Winter Home Decor Projects

Welcome to our third day of Woodland Winter projects. Today, Keri and Bernii have created two amazing Home Decor Projects to share with you. Both of them are sure to warm up any home this winter season. If you enjoy paper crafting and have been looking for some winter Home Decor inspiration, then you have come to the right place!

Woodland Chic Mobile by Keri Babbitt

The Woodland Winter collection is perfect for winter decor.  I love the forest animals, the soft colors, and the vintage vibe it has.  After taking down all the Christmas decor, I wanted to make something neutral but festive, that was winter-themed for the January and February months. This mobile was so simple to make!1. I hung twine around an embroidery hoop, then tightened the screw and glued burlap trim around the edge.2. Then I added some gilded/glittered doilies, some paper circles and animal die cuts.

Designer's Tip:  Color both sides of the doilies with ink and glitter, so whichever way it rotates, it looks great.

Doilies: 4" small

Winter Calendar by Bernii Miller

The Winter Woodland Collection was just the right collection for me to use, to create this winter themed calendar that I will be using in my home this coming winter. I am teaching my daughter how to read the days of the week and months, so thought this would be a great addition to our home. She will be able to change the days, the date and even display which winter month it is.

I could not pass up decorating the sides of the calendar with some pretty BoBunny blossoms. To add some extra winter sparkle, I added glitter glue to the petals and pen outlines.

This project was easy to create and so much fun!

This project will be well used in our household and I can not wait to see Abigail's progress over the winter in learning to read the days of the week and the months.
