DIY Halloween Tags with Denise

Hello BoBunny Fans

It's Denise here and today I want to share some really fun tags with you for Halloween.
I took a walk back in time and used the Wonderfully Wicked and Fright Delight collections.

Here is a look at the first tag. I used an acrylic paint and stencil to create the background and then layered up papers and chipboard pieces, along with gauze and beads.

On the second tag I did some distress oxide inking and water effects for the base and then stencilled over that. I then fussy cut some bits and added some chipboard pieces, beads and gauze.

For the last tag I also stencilled on the background with paste and a stencil and then layered up various things, along with the beads and gauze for texture.

I really had so much fun creating these scary and spidery tags and love the end result.

One can certainly still use older collections and still make beautiful projects and mixing and matching these collections was easy and fun.

Thanks for stopping by the BoBunny blog today! We really look forward to seeing you back tomorrow.

Have a super day!
Denise x

Wonderfully Wicked Layout

Hello everyone! It's Solange Marques here and today I'll share with you a layout using Wonderfully Wicked collection.

In my country we do not celebrate Halloween like in the United States, but it has been adopted in some schools and we are gradually familiarizing more with this kind of celebration. Children love to be able to dress for this party. My grandson asked me to do a skull makeup for the party on his school.

On the background I used lace stencil with white gesso to get a the ghostly appearance on the black.

We Are All Mad Here!

A Frightening Notice!

Hi dear BoBunny friends,

It's Angela here with a fun project I've made for Halloween.

Even if Halloween doesn't belong to my childhood, I started celebrating it when I had my sons.

They love it and I admit that I adore it too, it's such a fun. In fact, I'm planning to organize a party at home this Halloween, that's why I've made this notice to be hanged out of the doorway.

I've used the Wonderfully Wicked collection by BoBunny, which is a smart and scaring collection at the same time.

First of all I covered a wood frame with some papers from an old book and some wicked advertisements from the 'Daily Course' BoBunny paper.

Then I started playing with stencil and licorice glitter paste...

...and a few embellishments, like chipboard and jewels, stuck here and there.

I put two rhinestones on the eyes of the skull and of the owl, to give them a more terrific look.

And what about the warning note? Isn't it disquieting? The owl eyes certainly are.

Don't you think it's all Wonderfully Wicked?

Let me know what you think about it and remember that, if you come to visit me the 1st October, 'We're All Mad There'! Ah! Ah! Ah!!!

Love,

Angela

Wonderfully Wicked Layout

Hello BoBunny Friends,

It's my turn to share a fun Wonderfully Wicked layout. I have used a photo of myself a few years ago. I am a proud musical geek and played Johanna in Sweeny Todd at the local amateur theatre group. I try to make sure that I appear in our family albums because it's so easy not to be there when you are behind the camera.

Here is 'Until the Curtain Falls'

I found a cutfile to cut with my Silhouette Cameo and cut to files for layering under the photo

I love to cluster the noteworthy, layered chipboard, and sticker sheet

For extra dimension I had a little bit of Bo Bunny black gesso and used a wet white to shade the background.

I hope you enjoyed my wickedly lovely layout. Please tag me if you create something of yourself OR using the Wonderfully Wicked Collection.

Wonderfully Wicked Home Decor!

Oval Canvas featuring Wonderfully Wicked designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Oval Canvas for Fine Arts Friday featuring Wonderfully Wicked collection and Black Crackle Paste by BoBunny designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Greetings and welcome to Fine Arts Friday here on the blog. I chose to feature the Black Crackle Paste on my project today. First, I prepared the oval canvas with a bit of Mint Glimmer Spray and set aside to dry. Once dry, I applied a layer of the Crackle Paste Primer, then set aside to dry again.

After the primer dried, I then applied the Black Crackle Paste and set aside to dry overnight. As you can see below, the crackle effect is quite striking.

Several of the Noteworthy and Chipboard embellishments are collaged here to create this Home Decor canvas. I think this will be a great addition to the front door this year!

A Creepy Delight with Wonderfully Wicked!

Welcome to the BoBunny Blog! Are you ready for the scariest Halloween of your life? Taking the treats will not be so easy!

Today I have for you a "Trick or treat box"! I recycled a cocoa powder can to create the body of my box, which I covered with beautiful BoBunny paper!

I customized the paper by painting the details with acrylics, this step will make our project personal and unique!

To enliven my box, I cut some images from BoBunny Hocus Pocus paper: a mouse and two spiders.

Then, I cut into strips the same paper and I created a huge spider, made with the technique of quilling! This spider will be the guardian of treats ... sure you want one?

The box not only keeps treats, it is divided in half  and the other side is the trick! Want to see it? You must turn off the light! Surprise! I put a small light in the middle of the box and I glued inside the shapes that I had cut out! To create the window for the light I used the BoBunny Foil Vellum!

Are you scared? I hope not! I hope you to have fun with this idea! A box that is also a lantern and a container for treats, for the long night of Halloween to spend with BoBunny!

My box would not turn so beautiful without all the details of Chipboards, Stickers and Noteworthy by BoBunny.

Now you're ready, go and create your scary  "Trick or Treat Box"! See you for the next project ... if you survive to Halloween! Boo!

Enjoy!

Wonderfully Wicked 1 Layout 3 Ways!

Hi everyone, it's Katherine here, welcome to my 1 layout in 3 different ways.  I'm using the very creepy Wonderfully Wicked collection.  These papers are packed with pumpkins, so they were perfect for my pumpkin carving photos.

Olaf and the Creeper by Katherine Sutton

I started with the Double Dot Dark Denim Vintage paper for the base and then layered up some of the Apothecary and Wretched papers as photo mounts.  I love that there are so many bits you can cut out of these papers so I cut out several pumpkins and also a pumpkin frame from the reverse sides of the 2 papers.  Next I added a few elements from the Noteworthy collection in the form of a Halloween card and a large glass jar and pumpkin tab and the creepy tab at the top of the page.

For my next version I started to distress and tear and add some dimension to the page.  I covered some muslin in black ink and then tore small sections out of the Double Dot paper and backed it with more of the Wretched Paper.  I added my little row of pumpkins onto foam dots and distressed and inked everything with black ink, curling the edges upwards.  I created some folds in the Halloween card and then carefully inked along the creases to make them stand out more.  Finally I added a chipboard candle stick and a little spider banner sticker from the stickers.

The final version has to include some glitter paste! I am really enjoying using this product - it doesn't take ages to dry and gives you such a beautiful effect. I mixed together in equal amounts 2 pastes - Copper and Citrus Orange, and then used the lace stickable stencils - which give a crisp image.  I added a little sprinkling of watered down white gesso to finish off the page.

I used a little bit of the left over paste on the bottom of my pumpkins and the candle stick just using the edge of the palette knife to add a little more sparkle.

Here is a close up of one of the larger lace stencils - you get really good definition with the paste.

Even on the smallest of stencils you still get a great image too!!

I hope you've enjoyed my project and it's given you some inspiration check back for more Wonderfully Wicked inspiration tomorrow.
