1 Layout 3 Ways!

Welcome BoBunny fans to another 1 layout 3 ways feature, Bernii here with you to share with you my take. Today I wanted to share with you a layout I created with the new Toy Box collection.

" Twinkle, Twinkle" layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using the Toy Box collection.

For the first step of the layout I kept it fairly basic following a grid style pattern. It is nice a simplistic and can most certainly be called done and tucked away safely into my album.

Then to the second layout I added only a few extra elements to help add a little more interest and make it a little bit more me. Firstly I added the new BoBunny white Gesso to the back ground, added some extra stitching to the 3x4 cards, sprinkled on more brads and added a banner under on the of the 3 x 4 cards.

And lastly to create the final layout I added a few final touches. Red twine to the buttons and bottom left hand 3 x 4 card, extra blue paper to layer between the layout and background, I "roughed" up all the edges , glitter paste circles and hearts and added a few more buttons.

I hope that I have inspired you today to play along with your Toy Box collection .

Scrummy Soiree Decoupage & Craft Die layout!

Welcome BoBunny fans Bernii Miller here with you today to share with you how I have used two awesome new products that are newly released from BoBunny. The amazing fun decoupage paper that has endless possibilities and the new Ornate Doily dies.

"Home" layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using the Soiree collection.

I wanted to play around and see how well the decoupage paper would cut with the BoBunny dies. I am happy to share that they work wonderfully together. You need to be gentle separating the die from the paper, but the cuts turns out beautifully. So I decided I would cut a couple of the doily dies to use as matting for my flower cluster.

I thought I would also share a little of my process of how I created the background paper quickly. If you have not dabbled in any mixed media yet you really are missing out on so much fun.
BoBunny has just released a ton of new product to make mixed media a breeze for everyone, from spatulas to gesso and everything in between.
So to start with I brushed on a layer of white gesso over the background paper.
Once that dried I added a ton of  Postale Stamps to the background from a top left to bottom right flow. Then over the top I added a layer of Starling Stickable Stencil with modelling paste.

Are you still with me ?? :)

Then to start blending all the layers to the background paper I grabbed my watercolours and added 3 different colours to match. Then it was time to start embellishing. And below you can see the final result. If you look closely at the top left flower cluster you can see the subtle decoupage paper die I cut which is perfect to build a cluster on. I also used the decoupage paper as another layer under my photo.

Misc Me Monday With Believe!

Hello there BoBunny fans,Bernii here and welcome to Misc Me Monday!

Today I wanted to share with you my Misc Me album that I made with the brand new Believe collection.  This collection is gorgeous with its bright colours and stunning patterns.

To add illustration to the title cover I used a Journal Contents card and added a black and white border around the edge and I also carried that through the inside misc me cards.

I found that using a Posca white pen and  my 0.8 black fine tip pen was the perfect combination for the border. You can see below I carried that over to all the cards and I love the unity it brings.

I also added some mixed media with the adorable mini stickable stencils which really are the perfect size for the Misc Me cards. So for the main title card I used the Lots of  Love stencil with some modelling paste and then used some fine orange glitter to sprinkle over the top. Here are some close ups...

Love & Lace Layout With Marvelous Mixed Media!

Remember Layout by Bernii Miller

Remember Layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using the Love & Lace collection.

Hello there BoBunny Fans it is Bernii Miller here with you today to share with you a layout I have made with the gorgeous new Love & Lace collection teamed with the romantic "Heart Laser cut chipboard".These two products are a perfect fit and I wanted to document a photo that I adore of my little girl and I .

Remember Layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using the Love & Lace collection.

I really love mixed media at the moment and love how with a few simple layering techniques you can create a multitude of different backgrounds. For this background I simply layered the "Rough it Up" stamp set over some watercolours and then to add some more textured interest I simply used some modelling paste with the Cascade stickable stencil.

Remember Layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using the Love & Lace collection.

I left the Hearts laser cut chipboard raw as the colour really complimented the colours in the paper I was using. To adhere them I used some Glossy Accents adhesive as I find it sticks really well to altered backgrounds.

Calendar Girl Planner!

Calender girl planner set up by Bernii Miller.

Calendar Girl Misc Me planner by Bernii Miller for BoBunny.

Hello there BoBunny fans and welcome back to a new Misc Me Monday.
Today I wanted to share with you my set up of my planner for 2016 using the Misc Me products and the brand new and exciting Calendar Girl collection. I am a practical kind a girl so when it comes to my planner I need to be functional for me. Something that I can throw into my handbag and use at any given minute. As much as I love all the prettiness that can be added to planners these days I learnt very quickly with my planner from this year is that it can become very bulky very fast.

So this is why I adore the new Calendar Girl collection . BoBunny have done an amazing job in adding so much colour ( which I love) , and these fun 12 x 12 pages that can be cut apart and used in the planner if you want to add in extra ephemera. I am loving that as it means I can add interest and still keep my planner fairly non bulky.

Calendar Girl Misc Me planner by Bernii Miller for BoBunny.

To start with I went through my Calendar Girl planner contents pack and added in all the month dividers . I then went through and made sure that each month had enough daily pages and if the didn't I went back and added in extra pages from the Journaling contents pack.

I also went through and added in some plastic sleeves to parts of my planner in preparation of adding in photos down the track. I prettied them up by using the super cute Calendar Girl Journaling Contents cards that come in both and  4x4 and 2x2 sizes.

Then to get organized I went through with my roller date stamp which I picked up from my local supermarket and went through and dated all the days. Then I went through with the Sentiments gold foil transfers and rubbed in all the birthdays that I have for the year. The Sentiments packet is chockers full of sentiments so I was able to add in a ton  of birthday reminders.

The next two photos I added in to show you how I am going through now and adding in some of my favorite 3 x 4 cards that I cut out from the coordinating 12x 12 papers. Because I am not to sure of exactly how I will use these cards yet ( it will have to wait till June/ August for that) so to make sure I do not lose them I used the new super shiny and sparkly Chevron - Gold Foil washi tape.

To make the birthday's stand out in the month at a glance calendars/pages I pulled out the Glitter & Foil Locale stickers and pin dropped all the dates.

And there you have it. It is a basic set up of my planner and I look forward to getting to play and use this everyday next year. I have all the pages and dates organised and have even added in some extra events that  I know are coming up next year.

What Do You Do In The Summertime.....Collect Moments!

Welcome to the BoBunny blog today! This week on the blog we are looking at what we do in the summertime, and for me summertime is all about spending time with my two favourites in the world, my children!

Collect moments not things - layout by Bernii Miller

So at the end of last Summer here in Australia I organised a photoshoot with a dear friend of mine and was so over the moon when she managed to capture this precious photo of myself hugging and laughing with my children.

I used the super sweet Garden Journal collection to showcase this summertime memory of mine, as the colours worked so well with the black and white photo. And let's be honest!! How could I not centre that awesome Misc Me journal card as the title to my layout :)

The layout came together so easily and I love the soft feel the colours give to the overall feel. To help spread the doily across the top and bottom ha;f of the layout, I simply cut in half a medium doily and then adhered it to the top and the bottom of the clusters. I also decided to add a decorative edge to the doily with my Coral Pearlescents.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today and I hope that you have found some inspiration to capture your summertime memories.

Misc Me & Penny Emporium!

Hello there BoBunny fans! Bernii Miller here with you today to share with you the gorgeous new Penny Emporium collection used in a Misc Me format. This particular collection does not come with its own Misc Me cards, but some of the papers within the collection are perfect to cut apart to be used for your pocket pages.

I just love pocket scrapping especially when I have random leftover photos from an event -  but those photos are not enough for a stand alone layout, or you might have just a few too many to make a single or double page layout. That is exactly what I had going on with these photos - I had too little for a traditional 2 page layout. This is where the Misc Me is perfect for those odd number of photos.

To grunge up the layout a little I used my soft sandpaper to rough up the edges, then with watered down white paint I "whitewashed" the edges- and then finally went around the edges with some walnut stain ink.

I also used the fun new Borders Stickable Stencils with the gold glitter paste, in random places to add some more sparkle. This matched beautifully with the gold/copper accents that are found in the Penny Emporium chipboard pieces.

Misc Me Tutorial!

Hello there BoBunny fans , Bernii here and welcome to Misc Me Monday.

I just love using my Misc Me 8 x 9 albums especially when I have a handful of photos that are just to much to put into a single or double layout, but I find it hard to only select a few photos. This was the case with these special photos of my daughter graduating Kindergarten a few years ago. When I first saw the pretty shine from the new Kraft and Gold 8x9 album I knew it would be perfect to house the precious memories from that day,

Adhering BoBunny Alphabet Stickers tutorial with Bernii Miller for Bobunny using the Sweet Life collection.

I teamed my photos with another new release from BoBunny - the Sweet Life Journaling Cards in the new 4x4 and 2x2 format and the super exciting new alphabet sticker sheets from the Double Dot range.

These new alphas are just perfect to use on any project, but it is especially a perfect size to use in the Misc Me pocket squares. So today I wanted to share with you all a mini tutorial on how to perfectly line up your alphas every time on any project that you use! I promise.

So let's take a look at my process :

To start off with you will need a ruler . If you like to be precise with measuring from the edges of your photos, I would suggest that you use a ruler with a cm measurement like the one pictured below.

Adhering BoBunny Alphabet Stickers tutorial with Bernii Miller for Bobunny using the Sweet Life collection.

Then start to create the word or title that you want with the Alphabet stickers. If you would like you could also use the ruler measurements to make sure that each letter is perfectly spaced. When you place the alphas onto the ruler only attach the bottom half of the ruler - as you will need the top half to adhere it into the desired place.

Once you have all of the alphas that you would like to use, then using the ruler and the measurements line up the ruler to te exact place you want the stivker. Placing the alhpas onto the ruler is great, as you can look at what your alphas might look like in diferent parts of your layout or mini - before you adhere it down.

Adhering BoBunny Alphabet Stickers tutorial with Bernii Miller for Bobunny using the Sweet Life collection.

Then once you are happy with where you would like your your BoBunny alphabet stickers to go, simply lay the ruler down flat, adhere the top half of the stickers, and while holding down the top half, slowly twist out the ruler from underneath so that it comes away from the ruler.

Adhering BoBunny Alphabet Stickers tutorial with Bernii Miller for Bobunny using the Sweet Life collection.

Once you have removed the ruler simply pat down the bottom half of the alphabet stickers.

Then if you would like to add a little interest and some more adherence to your photos you could also run the stickers through the sewing machine.

So as you can see in just a few easy steps  you can get the perfect placement of your BoBunny Alphabet Stickers each and every time , with out the heartache of having to try and peel of stickers to re-position them . Here is another example from my album that shows how I used the same technique.

Well I hope this tutorial gave you an idea on how next time you might tackle in adhering your alphabet stickers to your project.
