This card was found at Scrapbook.com. She used the ever gorgeous Country Garden collection to create a beauty of a card.

Misc Me - Life Journal

Happy Friday! Today is our last post for the month of August and keeping with the tradition we have started, we have more Misc Me - Life Journal pages to share with you created by Lynn.
"This month I chose to use the Anthem Collection. I thought it was a great choice to celebrate Canada Day and all the birthdays we had this month. I changed it up a little by writing a little note about what happened during the month, and also putting in a few sayings I found on Pinterest that I liked. This little album is so much fun. Even though it's August, I love looking back at the months and seeing all the photos of what happened over the winter that I've already forgotten. I'm so proud that I'm sticking with taking a photo a day on my phone! It does help that my phone beeps to remind me everyday, lol."

What a fun shape for a mini album....

Check out this adorable album Lisa Novogrodski made with

the our Anthem collection.  I just wanna hold it in my hands and admire it!

 On the outside cover I first painted gesso over and then used a heat tool to dry it. I then went over it with a red shade of magical micas and I then dried it again with the heat tool but only to tackiness. I then went over it with a paintbrush dipped in crackle and because it was still tacky it smeared the color a bit and exposed some of the gesso! Looks really cool!

 That Anthem Capitol paper with all the little cards on it makes me so happy!

 I created little fold out pages, bags and tags to make this mini fun.

I was just thinking how much fun this would be for many occasions, 

but so much fun to give a dad, brother, father, friend serving in the military with a few photo's and words of encouragement. What would you do with it?

This Love

For the heritage page, I just had to use the Trail Mix Collection to scrap my grandparent's wedding photo. It was a perfect collection for this picture that was taken in a field. At the time, they were pretty poor and photos were a luxury. We don't have many at all of them and none of the actual ceremony. 

My grandparents were married for 63 years when they passed away within 3 months of each other. They certainly set an example for all of us!

1964 Moment in Time

I chose this photo of my mom and my grandfather in 1964. Mom was 14 years old. I just love the special father and daughter bond it represents. I chose the Mama-Razzi2 collection as I wanted to use the "A father is a daughters first love" sticker. I think it rings true of the relationship my mom had with her dad especially as she is an only child. (It can be found on my "hidden journalling" tag)

TIP: I printed one photo 1 inch smaller than the other and layered them directly on top of each other. I used foam to back the smaller one to add extra dimension. Since we were also featuring chipboard, I layered that, too. I put the smaller flourish directly on the top of the larger one. In addition to liking the look, it made the dimension of my embellishing a similar height to my layered photo.
