Altered and Recycled Projects

I'm always amazed when I see Bo Bunny's gorgeous papers and embellishments transformed into objects of beauty.  Today a couple of Bo Bunny's design team members have made the most spectacular mini-book/keepsakes and altered decor items using some of the newest Bo Bunny products.

Recycle & Reuse

Recycling

Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to run a TV for three hours -- or the equivalent of a half a gallon of gasoline.

There is no limit to the amount of times an aluminum can be recycled.

If every American recycled just one-tenth of their newspapers, we would save about 25,000,000 trees a year.

Americans throw away 25,000,000,000 Styrofoam coffee cups every year.

A typical family consumes 182 gallons of soda, 29 gallons of juice, 104 gallons of milk, and 26 gallons of bottled water a year. That's a lot of containers -- make sure they're recycled!

Staggering isn't it? We live in a world filled with products and packaging that often are overlooked for their potential second life.

The Designers once again show how empty jewelry boxes, an ice cream container, tea box and perfume box are all perfect for reuse!

So the next time you go to throw away an item ... please recycle it! Creatively or in the recycle bin!

Recycle and Reuse!!

Hi! It's Dee here! and...it's that time again!

Time to put on your 'recycle/reuse' thinking caps and look around your home for something to recycle!!

I love it when the Design Team is challenged to Recycle and Reuse...because I am always so amazed by what they come up with... not only their finished projects...but what they choose to recycle! So fun!
Carole and I both chose BoBunny packaging for our fun projects, while Kristen's family must have just finished up a jar of peanut butter!

Title: Quick & Easy Party Favor!
By: Dee Gallimore-Perry

Designer Note: I had a container picked out for this challenge...but, as I was cleaning up by desk before getting started...I picked up my package of BoBunny flowers...and say, "HEY!! This would make a cute quick & easy party favor!!"
(I had already picked up a HUGE jar of gumballs, because I knew that's what I wanted to fill my container with...)
This little bag worked PERFECTLY...and it took mere minutes to complete.
These would be a cute Thank You for a Summer Pool Party or BBQ!
OR... how about labeling each one with the party guests' names...and using them as colorful place cards!!

Title: Birthday Fund Bank
By: Kristen Swain
Designer Tip: For my project, I used an empty peanut jar and made it into a bank. I thought it would be a great idea to contribute to a Birthday fund. Notice the name is Birthday FUN-D! I used an exacto knife to cut the slit in the top of the plastic lid, being very careful, but you could also use a drill and jig saw.

Title: Snow Globe Card
By: Carole Jansen
Designer Tip: Cut out the plastic dome from the Bo Bunny Packet and, using the card in the packet as a template, cut a circle out of the center of the card and then create a 3 dimensional scene on another piece of cardstock -adding some silver stars, glitter or even smarties. Then stick the dimensional scene to the inside of the front of card with double sided tape, so that the scene is inside of the dome. You could also create birthday cards and invitations this way.
Have fun !!

So...let's really give her some work to do when she gets back and let's see LOTS AND LOTS of comments and project shares!
