Mix and Match Scrapbook Pages 2

We continue our Mix and Match Week here on the BoBunny blog with more scrapbook pages. Today, Denise and Maryia really show you how to mix it up. Denise used five different collections and Maryia used nine. Now that is mixing and matching for sure!

Beauty by Denise van Deventer

I used a combination of Zip-A-Dee-Doodle, Pincushion, Head Over Heals,Woodland Winter and Fright Delight collections. Can you believe that?! I made sure that I incorporated black, as I needed to ground my photo on the various patterned papers.  The black also adds to the slightly grungy, yet shabby feel.

I made some flowers with die-cuts and instead of using leaves, I used some wool, which was rather thready. It added a different texture to the page, which I loved.

Since a large percentage of this layout was created with Pincushion, I thought it would be a nice touch to include some sewing, so I sewed my buttons to the page.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Boyfriend/ Head Over Heals; Collage / Zip-A-Dee-Doodle; Pincushion, Doilies, Toile, Backstitch / Pincushion

Noteworthy: Pincushion

Happy Day by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

I always love to mix and match different products and materials in my projects. I never worry about whether materials are from the same collection. It's much more interesting to me, to find my own combination and to mix it up!

On this layout I used nine different collections. Can you find them all?

As always, my LO includes a lot of paint, ink and doodling.

All I Want for Christmas by Romy Veul

This Christmas will be the first Christmas that I celebrate together with my boyfriend, Jeroen. I thought it would be a nice idea to dedicate a Christmas lay-out to that. That's why I took out the gorgeous Elf Magic collection and scrapped a photo of Jeroen with it. I used lots of chipboard present embellishments to make the lay-out fit my title "All I want for Christmas..."

My background consists of several punched layers of paper and a doily. I then adhered a chipboard Christmas tree on the left side of my lay-out and adhered some chipboard presents on top of it. The banner below my photo is from the 12x12 chipboard sheet. I found that it gave my lay-out a very festive look.

On the right side of the banner I also made a tiny cluster with three chipboard presents and a holly berry. I finished off my lay-out by adding some die-cut stars from the Noteworthy package.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned paper: Chorus, Dot, Stripe, Tinsel/ Elf Magic

Sweet by Bernii Miller

I created this layout using some of my favourite pictures of my daughter Abigail from a couple of years ago. Abigail used to have this obsession with lining objects up top to tail. So it was no surprise when I walked into the living room to hear Abigail announce "Ta-Da" as she showed me how she had lined up all the Christmas presents. It is this story that I wanted to record, so using the Gold & Silver collection was perfect, because it matched the colours of my home decor.

I dipped into my Blossom collection and found it so easy to pull together this layout. Once you start with one BoBunny Blossom it becomes very hard to stop, as they are all so stunning! To add interest to the burlap I grabbed some measuring tape ribbon I had in my stash and folded them over each other to create some dimension. I love this effect.

Burlap Tip: The easiest way I found to attach the burlap was to sew it directly into place with my sewing machine. If you do not have access to a sewing machine, hand stitching would work great too.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Gift Shoppes, Stripes, The list, Red, Yuletide / Silver & Gold

Brads: Gold & Silver
Noteworthy: Gold & Silver
Doilies: 6.5in. Medium Doilies
Kraft: Burlap Pleated Lace

Pre-Scrap Silver and Gold Mini Album

I want you all to close your eyes. Now imagine the stack, or drawer, or box of photos that need to be scrapped, but you haven't had time to get to them yet.

Have you ever thought to pre-scrap? Creating your layouts and mini albums without your photos helps save you tons of time.  Pre-scrapping allows you to simply slide photos into place!

Christmas Mini Album by Ilene Tell

I really love Bo Bunny's mini albums. They come pre-printed, so it totally saves time. Usually, covering naked chipboard albums is the most time-consuming, tedious part, so I was happy to have that work done for me already.

This mini is so gorgeous, with beautiful designs from the collection, as well as an elegant bracket shape, and pretty cut-outs on the cover and some of the pages. I decided to get ahead this year by creating a mini album for the Christmas season with the pages all ready to go for photos. Seven 4x6 photos will fit inside, so I can pick the very best ones. I hope you guys are ready for photo-overload today!

Here is a detail of the beautiful flourishes and chipboard shapes.

Page 1 (inside front cover): I inked all the edges throughout the album, and added dots to some of the pages. For the flower centers, I used round chipboard shapes and brads from the collection.

Page 2: I added photo mats to the pages, cut to fit 4x6 photos. For the first page, I made sure I aligned it so that the photo will be seen through the cover window. Again, I added some candy cane circles from the 12x12 chipboard sheet to the flower centers, and added glitter to them.

Page 3: For all the photo mats where the embellishments overlap the mat, I was careful to make sure I didn't glue down the parts that touched the mat, so that when the photos are added, they can slide in easily.

Page 4:

Page 5: I just couldn't resist cutting this awesome Santa from the paper and adding him to one of the pages instead of using it for a photo - he's well worth the space.

Page 6:

Page 7:

Page 8:

Page 9: The Noteworthy pack had a few great journaling spots, and I wanted to make sure I used at least one of the pages for adding some memories. This page was perfect for it, since I didn't want to cover up the cute image of the kids skating.

Page 10:

Detail from page 10: I really love the bling flourishes on this page. I also added a chipboard star to the top of the tree and added glitter to it.

And finally, the back cover. I added a layered chipboard embellishment to the back.

I hope you guys enjoyed the mini album. I can't wait to fill it with photos and memories!

Silver and Gold Collection Gifts

Only 13 days till Christmas! Do you need a few last minute gift ideas?? We are here to help!

Magical Trinket Gift Boxes by Lisa Nazario-Gregory

Since it is the season of gift giving. I needed a few small trinket boxes for some special gifts. I didn't want to stick a beautiful piece  of jewelry in a plain old white jewelry box, so I decided to make my own trinket boxes kicked up with BoBunny Silver and Gold paper for an elegant look. No wrapping needed.

Once my boxes were die cut from thick card stock, I assembled them according to instructions. I painted the edges with gold paint and covered the exposed box with paper from the Silver and Gold collection.

I cut strips of paper, then ran them through an edge punch to create the look of lace. I then wrapped the lace strip around my box.

Instead of the traditional bow, I created some little roses and festive leaves to top the trinket box.The flower was die cut and before it was assembled, I used a pearl pen in gold to edge the petals. they look like those old porcelain roses rimmed in gold.

Here is a view of the boxes closed. Just slide out the inner box to open.

Merry Christmas Canvas by Tracee Provis

My eldest daughter loves to decorate for Christmas so I decided to surprise her with this light up canvas using the fabulous Silver and Gold collection. The collection contains deep reds and greens but it also has a lighter delicate side of rich golds and creams. When I saw the reindeer on the 12 by 12 chipboard sheet, I was totally inspired to create a scene and for him to take center stage.

I created the background by tearing strips of paper from the collection and layering them up around the canvas, I covered them with a thin layer of gesso to soften the look further. I added some Frosting Jewels to the reindeer to give him extra texture.

I took one of  the large doilies and cut the middle out to make an arch shape over the top of the reindeer. The 12 by 12 chipboard sheet also has these cute ornaments that I dangled from the driftwood tree. I used a little talc to take the stickiness away as I wanted them to be able to move freely.

It's the most wonderful time of the year card by Bernii Miller

Gold, forest green and burgundy are synonymous with a Christmas full of tradition and wonder , so using the BoBunny Silver & Gold collection helps  to mimic that traditional feel that so many of us like to use.

For me at the moment I have a huge obsession with the BoBunny blossoms and am finding reason to use them everywhere. So when I had to create a card for my grandmother who is a gardening enthusiast I just had to use as many flowers as I possible could. I also made this card a little larger than usual so that I can place a few packets of flower seeds in there as a little surprise.

The glittery shimmer that can be found on some of the blossoms are a perfect addition to a Christmas theme.
