Corset Home Decor by Irene Tan

This is a little home decor that I've created for my daughter's room. It's a display corset. I've used an acrylic corset piece to alter for this project. The sweet and feminine Pincushion collection is perfect for this. I've chosen the peach and white tones from this collection to suit my daughter's room.

This corset display piece can be opened up and there is a sweet little reminder quote in it.

Jewel Flourishes: Frosting Jewels

Desk Organizer by Megan Gourlay

Pincushion with its gorgeous green, peach, grey and white tones, invokes thoughts of hand sewing and embroidery to me, all things I grew up doing. One of my first hobbies was embroidery, and then cross stitch so I really like this range, it brought back lots of memories.
I've wanted or should I say needed for awhile now, something extra to pop all my desk top bits and pieces into. As I was throwing the cocoa container into the recycling, I had an idea, and the desk to organizer was born.

The spools go perfectly with the whole Pincushion theme and they're really easy to make with some grunge paper and chipboard. I then decorated with some fussy cut images from the papers and some charms from my stash.

I cut a strip from the Patchwork paper in half and layered it underneath another strip from the same piece of paper. Then I added some punched Double Dot to create the decorative element for this tin. It was really simple to create, but it looks effective right?!

Fun Fun Technique Tuesday and a giveaway!

I'm so excited for today's post.  Juliana used the
Prairie Chic collection with her layout and our crazy fun new doilies!!!
Then she made the most fun picture tutorial of the technique she used
to alter her doilies.

And as if that weren't enough....  Scrapbook Trends is celebrating their 15th
Anniversary and we are giving away a years subscription to one
lucky person who becomes (or already is) a follower of our blog
and leaves us a comment.

You Are My Only

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Calico, Flea Market Finds, Garden, Laundry, Wanderlust/Prairie Chic
Chipboard: 12 x 12 Prairie Chic
Stickers: Combo Sticker Prairie Chic
Blossoms: Blush Dahlia, Blush Zinnia, Blush Bouquet
Essentials: 8.5 inch Doilies

For today's technique I am going to share with you how to distress the new Bo Bunny Doilies by creating a tea or coffee stained look using a few simple supplies.

The supplies you will need are Bo Bunny Doilies, Ranger Distress Stain in Picket Fence, Vintage Photo and Old Paper. You will also need a craft mat, spray water bottle and a heat tool.

Begin by dabbing the ink onto your craft mat.

Then spritz it with water using your spray bottle.

Take your finger and run it through the ink to mix it all together.

Take your doily and mist it lightly with water.

Next drag your doily through the ink.

The doily will be rather wet.

Use your heat tool to dry the doily.

Drag and smoosh your doily into the remaining ink on your craft mat.

Dry the doily again.

Add more ink to your mat. Do not use Picket Fence or water this time.

Drag your doily through the ink again.

Dry it again. Now you have your distressed tea/coffee stained doily.

How fantastic is that.... I can't wait to get home and start playing.

And here's a little reminder about Scrapbook Trends...
