Day two with Vicki B... and our CardMaps Winner

We're so excited to have Vicki back with us today...

I’m back with a mini book! Not just any mini but the new Mama-razzi2 camera mini.  This book and line combines three of the things I love…motherhood, photography and paper crafting!!  I highlighted spots throughout this book with the new background stamps.  These stamps are so versatile.

Take a look at what I whipped up…

This album was quick to create.  Most of the work was done for me with the great design.
I will be back tomorrow with one more project!!

And now for the winner of the CardMaps 3 book....

Guest Designer - Vicki Boutin

I'm so excited about today's blog post for 2 reasons...

1. Cute Vicki Boutin is going to be with us over the next few days.
2. We have a fun giveaway of a CardMaps Volume 3

Hey there!  My name isVicki Boutin and I am so happy to be sharing a few projects with you this week.  I have been a BoBunny fan for years!  Love the products and I love the people behind the scenes at BoBunny.

A little about me, I have been a paper crafter for over 10 years and I love this hobby.  Beyond paper and glue I love stamps, paints and inks and techniques focused projects.  If my hands are covered in ink, I am a happy girl!  I am a lazy blogger and addicted to Pinterest.  You can find me with my hubby and two kids in St Catharines, ON Canada.  If you like to mess around with techniques you might enjoy my book, Creative Foundations.

With today being Technique Tuesday I decided to play with the amazing new stamps from BoBunny!!!  I love layering background stamps so that is what I did for today’s projects.

I started with a white card based and then layered away with inks and stamps.  Take a look.

1.  Layer linear stamp patterns and ink the edges of the card.
Distress Ink colors- Rusty Hinge, Scattered Straw.

2.  Punch 1” circles from scrap paper and ink inside the circle “mask” with Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  Stamp hexagon images inside circle “mask” with the Faded Jeans Distress Ink.  Let dry.

3.  To add the metallic “shadow” place the mask over the inked circles and rub a small
amount of Viva Décor Inka Gold in Platinum.  Add layered black circles around the
each inked circle by rubbing a paint lid or small cap in black ink.

4.  Stamp film strip images in black.  Stamp numbers.
Add a bit of the Mamarazzi 2 rub on in the lower right corner of the card.
Stamp more background images if desired to file in the space.

5.  Add camera, gems and card phrase.

Hope that gives you a few ideas for using these awesome new stamps!!!
See you on Wednesday with one of my other FAVORITE BoBunny products!!!!

I ♥ Fussy Cutting.....

I really do love to fussy cut... I think it's relaxing and fun to do.
I usually save up my fussy cutting jobs in a file folder and keep them with me,
so when I'm waiting at the doctor's office, or sitting in the car waiting for the
school bell to ring, I oolways have something to do.

Not to mention... it just looks AWESOME!
Check out what the girls have done today...

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Serenity,Serenity Love,Serenity Blossoms
Stickers: Serenity Dimensional Stickers, Serenity Combo Stickers
Noteworthy: Serenity
Jewels: Serenity
Rub-ons: Serenity
Chipboard: Serenity Layered Chipboard

Designer Tips:
One of my favorite techniques is to use coordinating patterned papers to embellish my page. I like papers with larger patterns on them.
Find the patterns you want to use and cut out around them, for tight areas use your craft knife.
I like to add stickles to the edges of my fussy cut embellishment, not only does it make it sparkle but it covers up any imperfections in your cutting.
Make your fussy cut embellishments pop off the page with foam squares..it will give your layout dimension and you can layer your patterns this way, tuck flowers or journaling tags under them.

2 seconds, 4 poses, 1 cutie!

Bo Bunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Hello Sunshine, Picnic
 Sweetness, Busy Bee
Stickers: Hello Sunshine Combo
Chipboard: Hello Sunshine
Noteworthy: Hello Sunshine

Designer tip -- I know that some crafters look at a piece of pattern paper and think, "What am I going to do with that pattern?" -- My answer to that is -- "Cut it up!" I love to do fussy cutting, one sheet of paper can be used for most of your embellishments!! For my layout I only used 3 sheets of 12x12 paper, 3 pieces of chipboard flowers, one journal card from the Noteworthy collection and 3 numbers from the combo sticker pack -- and that's it! And I still have left overs from the papers that I cut the flowers from to use on another project! And my layout looks nice and full, and I barely used any supplies! Fussy cutting is a GREAT way to create your own embellishments! Have fun with it!!

AND THEN....
Check out this masterpiece made by:
 Lily Tasman
My Scrapbook Ideas- Indonesia-design team member
Here's a little note from Lily...
Hi..My name is Lily Tasman, I came from Indonesia. I started scrapbooking on January 2012 and a month afterwards, I was asked by Mrs. Grace and Mrs. Regina to come and join MSI (My Scrapbook Ideas) design team, the first ever scrapbook store in Bandung City, my hometown.

I enjoy working on projects and prefer to work on a bigger media such as Album and Canvas - the bigger the media the more exciting the project is. The bigger the media the more for me to express endless imagination. Oh it’s so much fun to think of it!

Where do all those inspirations come from? Hmmm…. to be completely honest I was letting myself flow doing it, I would bring those papers and its embellishments everywhere I go and in my free spare time, i would open and see them, and inspirations would come to me suddenly. When I was looking at Little Miss papers, all of a sudden, an imaginary window appeared on my mind and when I saw lines paper, a canopy appeared. So when I was asked where did all those inspirations come from? I would say they are from those papers and embellishments themselves. It really is a pleasant and enjoyable moment over the process of Little Miss project. I hope you would also have inspirations when you see this project. God Bless you.

Amazing, right?
So, the moral of this story is...
don't be afraid to do a little fussy cutting.
You might just like it!!!

We would like you to meet....

 Romy Veul
I'm sure a lot of you will recognize her, as she plays along in all
of our challenges and her work is amazing and worth looking at again and again.
She is 17 years old and from Holland and will be our Guest Designer
for the next few months.

I'd like to say that I want to be like her when I grow up, but I'm old enough
to be her mom.  LOL  I was going to try to introduce her to you all, but didn't think
I would do her justice... so I had her tell you all about herself.
I'm sure you are going to love her as much as we do!!

I've added some of her work for your viewing pleasure while reading.
It's like a picture book!  hee, hee

Hi! My name is Romy Veul. I'm 17 years old and live in the north of Holland with my parents, my brothers (they are twins) and our cats and guinea pigs. I'm in my last year of high school and will hopefully go to University after my graduation. Besides spending time at school and homework, I love to play badminton, do fun things with friends or family, take pictures and - of course - make cards or layouts.

Scrapbooking is definitely my favourite way to spend my time. I love to let my worries go and just spend time searching through my papers and embellishments and making something new with them. It's also such a wonderful way to capture special moments and memories for the rest of your life. My family loves to take a look in my scrap albums and it's always good for some 'ooohs' and 'aaahs' like 'Oh, I know that moment, it was so funny'. That's what is making me smile.
I find it pretty difficult to describe my style of scrapbooking. I love to use a lot of layering and embellishments on my layouts and I think you could best say that my layouts are pretty 'full'. I can't keep any corner of a layout or card 'unused'...LOL! Also I'm a huge fan of glitter, pink and all kinds of bling and also seem to grab my scissors for every project...if I can cut out something, I will cut it out:) I'm a real girly girl and love to show that in my pages. Besides those things, I think you can call me a very slow scrapbooker. A layout usually takes me 4-5 hours, though I seem to get a bit faster lately. When I don't have the time or inspiration to make a layout, I'll work on a card. Thanks to all the great embellishments and cut-out sheets, that manufacturers like Bo Bunny offer, it's pretty easy to make a beautiful card in no time at all.
Since I don't have children yet -which is probably not so rare for someone at age of 17, LOL!- I mostly scrap about my nieces (I feel blessed to have 8 nieces, who are 0 to 11 years old), our family, our pets or vacations. I just let the picture do the work for me and then start to search for papers and embellishments in my stash to compliment it. I love all the great things this hobby brought me. I got to learn some amazing girls - some of them even became real friends - , who aren't only very supportive, but also really sweet when it comes to other things than scrapbooking.
How about some fun facts about myself?

-Did you know I mostly spend more time on chattering about scrapbooking than on scrapbooking itself? There are just so many great blogs and online galleries...I just have to take a look at them every day:D
-Did you know that I'm a little bit afraid of fish? When I see that there's a fish in a lake, I will refuse to swim in it. Oops!
-Did you know that I've got a little something with surnames? I already thought of what names I'd like to give my own children in the future.

-Did you know that I love romcoms in all kinds and sorts? I just looove feel-good-movies with a 'happily everafter'-end.
-Did you know that I've been stalking the Bo Bunny blog since it's very first start and that there haven't been any Bo Bunny collection yet that I didn't like? I feel so honoured to be a guest designer for this amazing manufacturer and to get to work with so many talented girls. Thanks so much for this amazing opportunity!
And in case you'd like to see more of my creations, please feel free to take a look at my blog: www.scrapstuffandmore.blogspot.com

Romy...  Thank you so much for being our Guest Designer,
we are so excited to see what you come up with and we hope you have fun
playing with our product and our AWESOME Design Team!!
