Aryia's Garden and Pentart Wax Paste with Amy

Hello Bo Bunny friends!

Amy here to show you the fun you can have with the Wax Pastes.

For this layout I wanted to add a little dimension by spreading the  Metallic Antique Wax Pastes across the page. These Pastes will resist water, so if you want to add watercolor paint perhaps do that first. Or use it as a resist effect.

I then added my photo, and clustered my embellishments so that the paste is not covered. By spacing out flowers, you can add a feminine feel to the layout

And below is the full layout called Wonderful.

Beach Boy - Denise van Deventer

We had recently been on vacation to the coast and I thought that the Zip-A-Dee-Doodle Collection would be perfect for a "beach" page, as it has the lovely blues and greens! It is also such a fun collection and so is also perfect for this theme.

Fussy cut elements from this collection were layered and added to this page, which created texture, as well as interest on the page.

To add to this "beach" theme I added gauze and gesso, which gives one the feeling of the fish nets and also is a flowing element, which draws the eye across the page.

This photo was taken during their honeymoon in Spain. They just walked by picturesque building with a signboard, and without any preparation have treated themselves photo session.

In this LO I wanted to show how self sufficient collection of Zip-A-Dee-Doodle is. It almost does not need any supplements! Zip-A-Dee-Doodle paper, a little Zip-A-Dee-Doodle decorations, Zip-A-Dee-Doodle stamps and LO is ready!

I've been FRAMED!

Today's post is all about framing....
Framing your layout, your photo, part of your photo, etc.

Use framing as a way to direct the viewer’s perspective of your scrapbook page.
To gets their eye and mind involved in your page and taking in its story.

"I thought I'd show a couple of ways of using Bo Bunny products for framing. I used some of the Jewel Flourishes to create a flourishy frame, placing the photo first on some vintage cardstock and then layering the flourishes around the photo. I then trimmed around the flourishes

I also used one of the new background stamps to create a finer frame in the background to draw in the eye and help frame in the title. Here are some close-ups.."

"Our cat Beertje loves to behave as if she is a diva. I think this photo shows off her attitude pretty well. Therefore, I thought it would be nice to frame this photo and give it a royal touch. I used a chipboard frame to accent the photo and then added some banners and layered chipboard to make it look more rich."

"One of the newest add-ons in BoBunny's products are these beautiful and fun paper doilies. Recently, I've received various emails from my readers asking me, "how we can use these paper doilies besides making it into flowers, using it as stencil/mask or using it as direct layering?"

The first idea that popped up in my head is altering! These are paper doilies, you can easily alter them. Here are a few ideas to share with you all.

In this first idea, I've used a large doilie.

Cut out the inner circle and you will get a ring with beautiful details to layer on your layout.

In this second idea, use the leftover of the inner circle which you've cut out from the earlier paper doilie.
Cut out another layer of smaller circle from the inner circle piece and you will get another ring to design your layout with.

For this third idea, I used a medium paper doilie.
Cut out the inner circle but this time, the cut area is slightly different from the earlier paper doilie. (Notice the edges of the cut out circle)
Use the inner cut out circle and also cut out another smaller circle from a scrap paper to use as a mask on this paper doilie.

Use a sponge and ink to do the masking on the paper doilie.
This will create another journaling piece for your layout.

This fourth idea is to use what is leftover from the medium paper doilie after you've used the inner circle.
Fold pleats on the paper doilie ring and this will create a smaller circle which you can use to layer under tags or create a circular badge with paper doilie edges. You could also use this technique to create a paper doilie framed circle photograph.

This last idea is a very simple one which you can create using the small paper doilie

Cut the small paper doilie into quarters and then, fold pleats with them. This will let you create a fan like folded doilie which you can insert among your cluster of flowers. You can ink or color them with mist before adding it to your projects."

Can you stand it???  Such a fun tutorial... I'm thinking I'm off to play.

Don't forget...

Enjoy your day, friends!!!

Technique Tuesday with Agnieszka & Key Lime

I love Technique Tuesday's!!
Our Design Team teaches me so much everyday.

Agnieszka used the Key Lime collection and created
an amazing album with techniques you can use over & over again.

Mini album: Life is sweet
by Agnieszka Piskorz
"Hello! I wanted to show you how easy it can be to decorate the cover of the album. This technique can also be used in other projects.

I found in a drawer box with window (paspartu) I thought it would be perfect for the cover of my album. To okladka you better, I thought I'd do something colorful but simple. I found a piece of bubble foil, embossing ink, colored powders, glitter and colored inks. I tried to be chosen to match the colors of my album, a collection of Key Lime.

Think that this is a bubble wrap stamp;)  first rub embossing ink then colored inks.
Then stamp the bubble wrap on the entire cover.
 Sprinkle embossing powder and glitter.

Melt powder with a heat gun. When you are ready you can decorate.
I love to make chipboard stickers into other decorations, peel off the layer of adhesive, then make a hole and it can be hung on the back of album

Front album is three-dimensional, wave also covered the glitter and jewels.
This is my finished mini album. It's got pictures of the beach in Spain, the pictures are my children and husband. I love to remember that summer, it was wonderful."
