Notebooks tutorial

Hello my dear friends, this is Michele from France, and i am really happy to be here with you today, to share this little tutorial !
I have two wonderful daughters who love writing and drawing on little notebooks and this mini album from the collection "zoology" is perfect for making something different and cute :) You'll see, it's so easy and the kids love it so much that you have no excuses !
Just one more thing before we start, please, forgive my not perfect English ;)

For making this, you'll need:

album zoology
double dots ribbons
double dots designs cardstock papers
combo stickers
chipboards 12x12
jewels
papers and spirals

First, i reproduced the shape of each page on a cardstock paper and to save time, i glued it on a second cardstock paper and cut it. So i have a stronger piece of paper with two different colors very quickly.

I cut a few sheets of paper, and i made the holes for the spirals. I just stick the last piece of paper, directly on the cardstock.

As it's for kids, i added an eyelet to consolidate the hole.
Now, all you have to do is simply decorate it, and of course, don't forget the name of the kids ;)
I added a little note : "this notebook belongs to..."

I tied some pieces of ribbons on the ring, i love it, it's like they have a bow on their head :)

As you seen, it's fast and easy to make this cute little things ;)
I'll be really happy to see yours !
thanks for reading me,
take care of yourself,

Michele

Step It Up!

Are you interested in how to take a layout from simple to fabulous?  Today, Bo Bunny designers, Luzma and Michele share in detail how they each  a simple layout and took it to another level of design by adding more embellishments and ink/glimmer.

Luzma began with patterned papers, cardstock and a few embellishments.  She also did some gorgeous cut work to create that large circle piece and used a punch to create a fancy frame for her photos.
Next she brought more detail to her layout by adding a few colored embellishments.
She then completed the layout by adding more embellishment clusters including flowers, chipboard and bling. The placement of each cluster helps to move the eye through the layout in a pleasing manner and helps maintain your focus on her lovely photo.
FOLLOW YOUR HEART

Patterned Papers: Love, Whispers, Rose, Cut Outs/Enchanted
Cardstock: Double Dot in Ocean Dot

Michele began with a combination of patterned papers and cardstock.  She also did a bit of cut work to frame her photo and cut strips from a variety of papers to create a series of fun borders.
Next, she added some paint and glimmer which add a nice distressed feel.
Then she added a her title and created a fun edge for her photo by gathering some ribbon.
Finally, she completed her layout by adding more embellishments such as cardstock stickers, trinkets and jewels.  Look at the placement of the green and pink embellishments.  They are placed in a triangle, which again helps to keep the focus on her beautiful photo.
