Interviews!

Hi, Howdy & Hello friends!
Happy Friday
Can you believe it's August already????
Where does the time go?

Let me tell you about today's blog post...

The assignment was to scrapbook an interview you've had with someone.
(not like a job interview... just a fun conversation worth remembering)

For example, weeks after 9-11 we drove around our community and took pictures
of the different signs & flags & support that was given to the country.
At the time, my boys were 9 and 7.

So I asked them what they thought about what had happened
to which my 9 year old replied with...
"It scares me that so many people died, and are they
going to attack our city? I'm sad for all the families who are alone."
(He really was so concerned and really wanted to talk about the events quite a bit)

Then, I asked my 7 year old what he thought about it... to which he replied...
"When are they going to be done showing the news during cartoon time!"

There ya have it! Priceless....
after all my fabulous mothering,
the kid was just concerned about the dang cartoons.
ha ha ha

Here is Romy's layout...
(I love the relationship Romy has with her family, it shows in every layout, mini album and project she makes!  I love that you can tell so much about a person through their scrapbooks.

Foto (photo)
Romy Veul

Romy says: "My journaling is a conversation of me and my dad during our vacation to Vienna. I am sometimes driving my dad a little crazy with all the photos I take. We can barely walk a few minutes without stopping for a photo moment.
The journaling is in Dutch and says:
"Wait a moment, I gotta take a photo here"
"Hm, is there anything special to photograph here?"
"No, I mean I want to take a photo of you"
"Oh, what do I have to do on the photo?"
"Well, just act as if you are looking at the stairs"
"Hmmm, alright"

Designer Tip: You don't always have to use themed collections for the specific theme that they are actually meant for. For example the wintery collection 'Snowfall' also works pretty well for a serene layout with a summer photo on it.

Can you stand it??  I absolutely love it!

(Romy... your dad is the best! For that matter, so are you.
I love your layout, your journaling, your style and the tip!)

Blake said: When I grow up I want to be a mom, My favorite food is spaghetti AKA ramen noodles, My favorite thing to do with my mom is to clean with her, My favorite thing to do with my dad is to ride motorcycles with him, My favorite color is purple, My favorite animals are a giraffe and a moose, My favorite movie is Horseland, My favorite song is Sesame Street, My favorite thing to do with Shawni is to play with her jewelry box with her.

Designer tip: Don't worry about what color your chipboard pieces are, just grab some paint and glimmer mist and you can make it match whatever project you want!

How fun, I love hearing toddlers views on life!

Thanks for hanging out today you guys!
If you have a minute....leave us a comment on a fun interview you've had
and then go scrap it.

Focus on Stamps!

I am in love with all the new Bo Bunny collections and what the design team girls have been doing with them! Did you know that each collection includes a coordinating clear acrylic stamp set? Yep! The stamps are perfect for adding cute shapes and designs to any project as the DT will show us today.

 Thank You
Agnieszka Piskorz
Agnieszka used the Amrosia stamps for the background behind her sentiment and for the leaves that she cut out. I love the touch the handstamped elements give this beautiful card.

Create your own embellishments!

Hello Bo Bunny fans! Today the Bo Bunny designers have some beautiful hand made embellishments to share with you. They are easy and will make any project extra special.

Precious Memories
Irene Tan

I love how Irene's hand made embellishment frames this perfect photo and the way she outlined the letters of her title with pink.

Bo Bunny Supplies List:

Patterned Paper: Almanac, Vines/Country Garden
Cardstock: Double Dot in Passion Fruit Vintage
Noteworthy: Country Garden
Brads: Country Garden
Jewels: Country Garden
Rub-ons: Country Gardenl
Wraps: Winter Joy

Note: To create the scroll, simple just cut out a piece of pattern paper and roll it's upper and bottom end. Attach a pin to create a more realistic look. To create the swirls, just cut dome uneven strips from the pattern paper and use a tweezer to twirl them.

Picture Perfect
Mireille Divjak

Could Mireille's hand made feathers be any more perfect for this layout? I love how she cut fringe around the edges to make them look more realistic!

Bo Bunny Supplies List:

Patterned Paper:Vintage labels, around, baggage, antique, tapestry, dot / weekend market
trinkets : weekend market
combo stickers: weekend market
chipboard: weekend market
layered chipboard weekend market
brads: weekend market
Jewels / weekend market, enchanted

All White
Romy Veul

This beautiful layout by Romy is perfected with her handcut snowflakes. Romy shows us how the pattern on paper can make a beautiful embellishment when handcut and layered.

Bo Bunny Supply List:
Paper: Blizzard, Chill, Drift, Stripe, Cut Outs/ Snowfall
Stickers: Snowfall Combo Sticker
Stamps: Ambrosia, Snowfall
Jewels: Snowfall
Rub-ons: Country Garden
Chipboard: Snowfall Layered Chipboard

Designer Tip: I fussy cut a few glitter snowflakes from the 'Blizzard' and 'Chill' papers and layered them using foamdots. In this way you can create your own dimensional embellishments which look perfect on a winter layout.

Good Luck
Sarah Eclavea

Since St. Patrick's day is almost here I decided to create a Good Luck card using the super cute Alora collection. I created the four leaf color using a heart punch and a foam dot.

Bo Bunny Supply List:

Patterned Paper: Cut Outs, 6x6 paper pad/Alora
Stickers: 12x12 combo stickers/ On the Go
Card Kit: Alora
Jewels: Alora

Designer Tip: To create the four leaf clover punch four hearts with a paper punch. Place a foam dot on the the card where you want the clover. Adhere the hearts in a circular pattern overlapping each one. Trim a small strip of paper and adhere for the stem.

Thanks for visiting us today! I hope you found a few new ideas for creating some hand made embellishments. We would love to see your projects created with Bo Bunny supplies. Upload them to our facebook page!

Fast Friday

Today is the next edition of Fast Friday here at Bo Bunny.
In today's fast paced and busy world, it's sometimes hard to keep up to date with your albums or even fit in more than a little while to create.   Fast Friday is always filled with great ideas for quick layouts.  The design team is sure to inspire you and to spark some new ideas!

Fast doesn't mean that you have to compromise on the look of your layout.  You will see that the design team's layouts may be quick to create, but they are still beautiful and have great details.

First up, we have Luz with this gorgeous winter layout.
