Weekend Adventures Travel Journal with Katherine

Hi BoBunny Fans, as the summer is under way I wanted to share with you my travel journal, it was a great little project that I could take away with me and meant I was able to scrap in my tent!

I made the book before I went and purposely kept the front cover clean and simple, so it was easy to store and nothing would get knocked off on it's travels.  I also had a go at some coptic binding.

It's fairly straight-forward - the hardest part was sewing the covers on.  To make the covers I used some cereal box type card, and then covered it in paper.  I cut 7 papers to be 10 by 8", scored them in the middle (so my pages are 5 by 8") and added little pin-prick holes at 1",2",3" then 5",6" and 7" with a pokey tool.  With Coptic binding you tend to add 4 papers together into what makes a signature and bind them all together, as the BoBunny paper is nice and thick I only used one piece of paper for each signature.  The best bit about  this sort of binding is that you can very easily lay your book flat as you work.

For my opening page I have a little pocket for receipts, tickets and other little bits from our travels, and then my first photo is our camp.  I haven't used much mixed media in this project because I was in a tent, but the pearlescents were a perfect embellishment to take with me.

You can see the stitching down the centre of the page from the binding.  The Good Vibes paper has lots of phrases on it, and they feature throughout my journal.

I also had lots of fun including lots of the icon stamps in my journaling - perfect for planners and journals alike.

I created a triangular pocket so that I could keep some of the leaflets about the area in my journal.

I used one of the cloud dies from the Fly Away die-set and added little gems to make rain drops....the weather wasn't perfect but we made the most of it!

I pre-made these journal spots using the chevron 6" pad before we left - I just picked out some colours that went with the papers.

I also added lots of stamped embellishments which I made before we left using the Woodland Critter stamp set.  I stamped and embossed them on watercolour card and then gave them a wash of colour

I think the bear is my favourite!

More bears in the form of the Bear Necessities die, and also some stamping from the Captured Stamp set - I cut out the This Week part and added it to one of the Noteworthy tags.

I hope you've enjoyed a little tour of my Travel Journal - it is a lovely project to take away with you and build up as you go - everything I needed fitted in a 12" box, and if you have a small photo printer then you can add the photos as you go.

Party Favors on Sunday Funday with Marilyn

Hello Bo Bunny fans! Today is Sunday Funday and I made "Thank You" bags and tags to fill it with some love and give them to our guests.

I worked with the Stripe paper from the new Weekend Adventures collection. I made two bags from one 12" x 12" paper.  I used the Congratulations Card dies to make the bags' handles and the labels in white cardstock.

I stamped the Thank You word with the Sentiment Stamp over the negative from the die. Then with a gel pen I made the dotted lines.

I made the tags with the biggest die from the Craft Dies and the Congratulations Card Dies

Altered Art Book Transformation! -with Ombretta

Hello everyone and welcome to the BoBunny Blog! This is my last post in this beautiful blog! I decided to give you a colorful, delicate and simple project!

I decorated the cover of my Brush Lettering notebook!

I used the fantastic DEKOR PAINT to prepare the base:

After that, I fussy cut many pieces of scrapboking paper all of the same leaf shape

 I laid down all the pieces on the still fresh Decor Paint

Then, I decorated everything all around with many tiny dots, made with Countur Liner by Pentart

 And this is the result!

It was great to cooperate with Bobunny and share with you many different projects! Now my job is taking me elsewhere, but I hope you come to find me on my Youtube channel "Art for You"! You will find it by clicking on my name!

Cocoa and S'mores Goodie bags- with Kathi

Kathi here to share with you my s'mores and cocoa summer treat bags. I created these using one BoBunny's Spring Collection Weekend Adventures and Bear Necessities Dies. With summer time camping and late nights out by the fire pit  smore's and hot chocolate are a perfect match.

These treat bags are easy to create and fast to assemble. A good project to get the kids making with you.

The treat bags were cut using a treat bag die using "Picnic" patterned paper and the large treat bag was hand cut out of butcher paper.

I cut the bear out twice one in brown and one in the patterned paper, I layered over the brown bear making sure the brown bear stayed in tact so the pattern would show through. I cut out the sentiment from the "Good Vibes" patterned paper and placed it in the upper right of the treat bag. Finishing off the cocoa treat bag with a die cut lantern that I tied on with butchers twine.

The two treat bags were then tied together using butchers twine, stuffed with goodies ready for the campfire.

The World is Our Playground

Hello BoBunny Fans,

Emmy here today sharing a layout I created with "Weekend Adventures" collection from BoBunny Spring 2017 release. I used a lot of different mixed-media products to create my background, as well as many die-cut elements to embellish my layout.



To create my background I used three different pattern papers from the Weekend Adventures collection - Beachy, Blooms and Road Trip. After I've assembled them together, I used Structure paste and Stencils to create the dimensional patterns.

To finish off the design of my background I used Clear Stamps and Gold Confetti Paste.
