A Merry Misc Me Monday!

Hello BoBunny Friends! It's Shizuka here today to share some Tis The Season Misc Me pages with you.  I will take a lot of photos to the Christmas season. I think BoBunny Misc Me is best to organize a lot of photos.

The Christmas Tree Misc Me page by Shizuka Hirano

 I put together a picture of my children that was taken in front of a large tree in the mall. The first page, my sons are sitting in front of the tree bench. . Can you see it? It is a very large tree as you can see.

That's right, my older son is always funny.

 The first page, I have gone through things that were cut from the pattern paper.

 I paint the BoBunny White Gesso with a sponge around the photo, and then I did decoration in Pearlecents.

 In this pocket, I made a shaker box piled the vellum paper and the pattern paper. I made some sequins easily caught with a glue to the upper part of the shaker box.

Around the photo on this page, I have used the Pealesents and gave a texture with the gesso.

Bright & Fun Misc Me!

Good Morning Everyone! Since it's Spring here in Canada, I couldn't wait to play with the bright fun colors in the #Forever Young Collection. It reminds me of all the beautiful colors popping out of the garden. Today I am sharing some of my Misc.Me pages and the Misc.Me White & Kraft binder using the #Forever Young Collection and the Stained Textures Stamp Set.

You're So Sweet by Lynn Shokoples

For the album I cut a piece of the 12x12 paper on an angle and then added some of the fun embellishments from the Noteworthy Package. A fun way to add some fun colors to the album cover.

For my Misc. Me pages I went back to 1991 and chose some fun photos of my daughter. She was just turning 3 years old. My how time flies, my little girl is now 27!! I love doing random pages for my album of years gone past and remember all the wonderful memories.After placing my photos, I worked on each card doing some stamping with the Double Dot Pink Punch Ink before adhering the photo down. A little trick I learnt after getting ink all over a photo while stamping, lol.

After the stamping, out came the Chipboard pieces, some Noteworthy and some Layered Chipboard. I find it brightens up the cards adding that little extra something. It also gives the layout some added dimension. The Noteworthy pieces go a long way. The banner border was cut up and placed on three different cards.

All the cards came from the #Forever Young Journal Contents package. So easy and so fun picking out which cards to use.

Madeleine 8x9 is Sublime!

Hello friends! You are going to love what Lisa has for you today! I love the creativity and out of the box thinking in this album. Tons of inspiration here! Take a look!

This time around I was inspired to do something totally different and FUN with my Misc. Me collection. I decided to focus on the Pocket Page Protectors but use them in a more 'out of the box" way!  I also wanted to incorporate larger scale photos to show you how those work.

I started with the recipe dividers and set my first photo against that to begin my story. I've embellished with contents from the Madeleine collection.

As you turn to look at my next page I have actually filled a full 8 x 9 page protector with confetti that I punched from Madeleine Paper and some vellum. I added little sequins from my collection.  On the outside of the page protector I adhere the wood "That's Life" embellishment. I used the Pearlescents and glitter paste to enhance the wood.

You can see my photo from the following page underneath. I took a large scale photo and cut it in half to fit that page which is the 8 x 9 Recipe Page Protector.

I love how it looks with the peeking through.

My next page is a collage I created in Photoshop. I prefer black and white photos when I am working with a busy theme. I like the continuity between the pages. I added many different photos from different times in my daughters life.

On the page following this one I used two different size photos and once more added sequins to the pocket to step it up a notch and make it more playful.

I love the unexpected in my albums. I again cut apart the page protector and added some sequins and stamped images. I sewed up the opening and made a little flip book.

For this little flip up see through pocket I simply cut one of the pockets from the Page Protector Variety Pack and filled it with confetti. I sewed along the bottom and embellished the front. I punched a hole through my the protector for my collage page and attached the little pocket with a ribbon.

I've started this book with a variety of photo and playful elements for my daughter to enjoy in years to come! I hope you are inspired to add a few of these little treasures to your Misc. Me books as well!

Recipe Misc Me by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

I continue to fill my cookbook with recipes. Summer is coming and will be a lot of berries soon - so it's time for the "sweet" menu!

Of course, the color palette of these pages is taken from the Pinterest inspiration board. And it seems to me, the theme of cakes and jam is perfect too!

 

To create my own cookbook based Misc Me is very convenient. I just picked up the paper for the background (lower layers visible in the photographs as well - the previous pages), cut out recipes (which I've tried and I want to leave) and inserted it all in the pocket! A couple of minutes and you're done!

One background I made from two pieces of paper - blue and yellow-red - just glue them together and connected them to the top with the washi.

Small details like fluttering  birds and flags help add a good mood while cooking!

The 8x9 Misc Me systems are a must try for those that want something quick and beautiful!

Milo Misc Me by Juliana Michaels

I used the Happy Tails Collection to create a Misc Me album to record the story of Milo. He is a 10 year old Golden Retriever we adopted this past fall. I was thrilled to see the Happy Tails collection when it was released because of our new family member! The few pages I have shared here record the first time he came to stay with us during his "trial" weekend. It was love at "fur" sight and we knew immediately that we wanted to open our home to him.

Designer Tip: I used a strip of cardstock and some Washi Tape to repeat the design printed on the journaling card. I then repeated this design on some of the other journaling cards to help them coordinate.

I die cut a bunch of yellow hearts from the Happy Tails Spots Patterned Paper to use throughout the album. This is a simple way to provide continuity throughout the album.

Yummy Misc Me  Book by Agnieszka Bellaidea

Cooking in my family is a matter of art. I came from a family where woman and man were cooking, the houses was warm, kitchens full of stuff and there was always something nice in the fridge and pantry.

A big dinning table at my grandparents, smell of the best cucumber soup in the world, all salads and fantastic cakes my Granny and Mom made, żurek made by my uncle for Easter, barszcz and uszka for Christmas, the list is long.

While living in SA I started my cooking club with friends from all over the world and it's why sushi, Mexican food and Zaporosky Honey Cake it's a part of the new influence I am adding to my family tradition.

You may guess what's the next step is - to show how "to do it" and get my kids interested in cooking. Based by our meal last Sunday I think we all are on the right track .

Spaghetti squash is a dish we had a chance to try and we love it. If you want to make a bigger portion - just add pasta.

We like to make sushi on Sunday and we make sure we make a big portion, we all just love it!

All elements from Misc Me are so easy to use you don't have to spend much time on creating with it. All the effort can be put into...cooking.

Pop Quiz 8x9 Misc Me

At first glance you may think that the Pop Quiz collection has a limited use.

Take a second to think about it, even if you aren't in "school" we are all students, learning something new every day!

The one thing I love about Misc Me is the versatility it allows you to have. I received Pop Quiz to create with and with no children and very few photos of me or my husband at school I wondered what I would do with it. Then I thought about the theme of the whole collection, namely learning and teaching, and I realized it was perfect for documenting the classes that I have taught here in New Zealand, and the classes that I have been a student at; all because I love to create.

Here I've used parts of the Calendar pack as my base and then layered papers from the 6x6 pad on top. I've also used the Noteworthy pack to create another layer as well as using it for journalling. I also wanted to incorporate something used in the class, hence the twine and muslin which ties it all together.

Using the Calendar pack allows me to create depth without having the restriction of using a pocket page, where it would need to be quite a flat page.

The pocket pages allow for journaling about the techniques I've taught and to include photos of the close ups and class attendees.  Such a fun bunch of girls to teach.  I've used different bits and bobs from the collections to decorate my 3x4 cards - I even used the packaging!

Washi Tape is wonderful! One of best qualities of Washi Tape is that it can be used as an embellishment no matter what space you are creating within.

Misc Me by Solange Marques

I've chosen to use my Misc Me to register my goals for 2014. One of my goals is : work out.

When I was on  summer vacation, I opted for water aerobics , twice daily.

I added the  washi tape from the Modern Miss collection and Black & White washi tape on the photos and on the notepapers .

 When the vacations ended, I was back to fitness center.

I added watercolor on the notepapers.

Misc Me by Ulrika Wandler

I chose to use my Misc Me Baby Bump album for pictures from a fun trip last summer.

Me and my two sons went to a Science museum where we could try everything for real! A truly fun day!

I added the lovely washi tape from the Baby Bump collection to the notepapers in the album.

I also added some jewels and chipboard embellishments.

I really loved working with this album and those cute embellishments from the Baby Bump!

I also love working with washi tape! Perfect to put on these notepapers to add some extra color!
