Getting Festive for the Fourth!

Hi There BoBunny Fans :)

With tomorrow being July 4th I thought I would share with you some party decor using the Firecracker collection!

4th July Party Decor by Megan Gourlay for BoBunny using Firecracker

I've created my table decor using the red white and blue papers from the collection - double pinwheels, wooden letters and stars, and an altered spool, with some red and white lollies :)

I've made my pinwheels with a 6x6" piece of paper for the base and the top pinwheel being 4x4" before finishing them off with using some of the layered chipboard pieces.

You can see how dimensional they are from this side view.

The letters and stars are MDF - I've painted the sides and layered paper over top, then inked the edges with the Blueberry ink pad.  On the stars I was thinking I would be clever and paint them all over with glitter paste.  It worked well with Sugar glitter paste, but I got a bit carried away on the Ruby Red paste, making it too thick and it buckled my paper :(  so the moral of that story is less is more!

I get quite a lot questions about glitter paste, particularly the Ruby Red, because it looks purple in the pot but as you can see it really is red :)

My little spool is made from a toilet roll.  I've decorated it with a mixture of layered chipboard, blossoms, ribbon, brads, and some die cutting.

Card Inspiration With Butterfly Kisses

Inspirational Cards featuring Blossoms and Butterfly Kisses by Rhonda Van Ginkel

"Be Grateful Card"
Be Grateful Card featuring Butterfly Kisses and Blossoms by BoBunny designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

It's Rhonda here today to share with you a few cards that I created featuring the very pretty Butterfly Kisses collection along with some Blossom accents. For my first card, I selected the Blush Pink Pansy Blossom to feature and anchored it on the Picture This die cut.

I prepared the base of my card with some stenciled hearts using the Lots of Love Stickable Stencil with Sugar Glitter Paste. The effect is pretty and soft. I sprinkled drops of Bronze, Sugar and Tutu Glimmer Spray on top, then set aside to dry.

Once dry, I accented the bottom of the card with a touch of the Filagree Silver Foil Transfer. The "Petals" background paper that I chose for the base of my card is such a pretty rustic contrast to the florals, I wanted to showcase that contrast a bit.

For the sentiment you can see that I selected the Be Grateful chipboard frame. I re-arranged it and backed it with a bit of pretty pink paper which I stamped on using the To The Point stamp.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Bliss, Breeze, Joy, Petals and Springtime / Butterfly Kisses
Chipboard: 6 x 12 Chipboard / Butterfly Kisses
Silver Foil Transfers: Filigree
Stickable Stencils: Lots of Love
Glitter Paste: Sugar
Glimmer Spray: Bronze, Sugar and Tutu,
Stamps: To The Point
Ink Pad: Licorice
Die: Lovely Leaf and Picture This
Blossom: Blush Pansy
Double Dot Jewels: Think Pink

"Make Your Dreams Happen" Card

For my next card, I wanted to use our new "Birds of A Feather" stamp set, as I just loved the owl. I thought it would make an appropriate graduation or teacher's thank you card. I stamped him and then used some watercolor pencils to softly color him.

Once I started playing with the theme here, I created a nest for him and a bit of bedding using pieces from a Blossom.

The other part of the Blossom, you will find as the owl's wing. First, I layered the three petals on one another in a staggered way, then adhered them to one another and trimmed to shape. Next, I added a light coating of Gesso on them and let dry. Last, I stamped on top, then attached with foam squares.

A touch of silver and florals is added with a small square from the Foil Vellum Paper, tucked in behind the nest.

Bright & Fun Misc Me!

Good Morning Everyone! Since it's Spring here in Canada, I couldn't wait to play with the bright fun colors in the #Forever Young Collection. It reminds me of all the beautiful colors popping out of the garden. Today I am sharing some of my Misc.Me pages and the Misc.Me White & Kraft binder using the #Forever Young Collection and the Stained Textures Stamp Set.

You're So Sweet by Lynn Shokoples

For the album I cut a piece of the 12x12 paper on an angle and then added some of the fun embellishments from the Noteworthy Package. A fun way to add some fun colors to the album cover.

For my Misc. Me pages I went back to 1991 and chose some fun photos of my daughter. She was just turning 3 years old. My how time flies, my little girl is now 27!! I love doing random pages for my album of years gone past and remember all the wonderful memories. After placing my photos, I worked on each card doing some stamping with the Double Dot Pink Punch Ink before adhering the photo down. A little trick I learnt after getting ink all over a photo while stamping, lol.

After the stamping, out came the Chipboard pieces, some Noteworthy and some Layered Chipboard. I find it brightens up the cards adding that little extra something. It also gives the layout some added dimension. The Noteworthy pieces go a long way. The banner border was cut up and placed on three different cards.

All the cards came from the #Forever Young Journal Contents package. So easy and so fun picking out which cards to use.

Sensationally Simple!

Hello, Maria here! I love patterned kraft paper. It can be used to decorate any LO or cards, whatever the density of it. Kraft is very beautiful! Always! When you have on hand some yummy plain kraft paper, and even a package made from a  plain kraft paper, then the world is your ocean! Plain Kraft paper can be used as a basis for a mini-album, for example ... But today I decided to make some fun gift bags from BoBunny's wonderful Kraft bags.

Making a nice package for a gift is easy! And even easier to make a package for a set of two gifts!
See how using simple means you can achieve great results!

Two packages of different sizes, decorated in the same style.

Look at the stages of decoration:
1. Stickable Stencils + ink
2. background stamping
3. word stamp with the "shadow" (simle way to have great result!)
4. doily
5. emallishment, made of carved stamp imprint
6. small piece of adhesive film strip

Bo Bunny Supply List:
Kraft Gift Bag: Plain
Film Sticker: Souvenir
Stamps: Captured, Autumn song, Romance

Misc Me Monday!

Hello there BoBunny Fans and welcome to Misc Me Monday!

Bernii here with you to share with you my bright and fun Misc Me layout that I created with the new release Double Dot - Chevron Paper range.

Queen's Park by Bernii Miller

queen's Park layout by Bernii Miller for BoBunny using Double DOt Chevron and Double Dot Jewels.

There are a variety of hues in this collection and I decided to pull out the brighter papers to showcase my fun day at the park with my children. To highlight each of the papers that I pulled, I also used the Double Dot Jewels in matching colors.

I kept the Misc Me spread fairly simple this time around as the Double Dot papers were so bright and vibrant in colour. I also created little " Flowers" on my layout, by using my circle punch, folding the circle into fours, and then snipping out little petals. I love adding these to so many of my projects for extra pops of colours.

Pinterest Inspired.....Cards!

Hello Everyone! I was inspired by the beautiful colors of this Pinterest inspired picture of a rose. The  pinks, greens, and browns are one of my favorite color combinations.  I love flowers and butterflies, so I thought the features on my cards should reflect that.  For my creations, I used the gorgeous BoBunny papers from the Primrose Collection. The cards can be used as all occasion cards that can go with many themes.

Pinterest Inspired photo

Butterfly Card by Lisa Gregory for BoBunny using Primrose.

These flowers were created by fussy cutting out the hexagon shapes in the paper, and shaping them a bit to give them texture. I created the middles by using a star punch, Double Dots paper,  and layering multiple shapes, then scrunching them together to create the fluffed look. I fussy cut the butterflies and painted them with crackle paint.

This second card focuses on the flowers I created. They were layered upon the  fussy cut medallion from one of the patterned papers. I placed a small piece of corrugated cardboard  in between the layers for dimension. I fussy cut the butterflies for this card as well.

There are multiple layers of flowers in different sizes to create each flower. I created the middles the same way as in the previous card.

Fantastic Film Stickers!

Good Morning Everyone! Is everyone enjoying winter? I will admit I am a little envious of our friends overseas who are enjoying the warm weather. Here in Canada it's been a late winter and quite a warm one where I live. When we have a little warm spell, we pack up the pups and head out to the lake house for some peace, quiet, and a warm fire.

Hello Winter by Lynn Shokoples

This layout is all about a trip we took out there. I had so much fun playing with the Altitude Collection. The warm colors and all the elements fit my photos to a tee!

Hello Winter Misc.Me layout by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny featuring the Altitude Collection and Film Strip Stickers

I used the Film Stickers not only as borders for my layout, but also as individual stickers on some of the cards. Another way to use them is like a paper strip behind your photo. Use the whole roll, some of the roll, or little pieces to jazz up your layouts. They were fun to just tuck here and there.

I also had some fun with the Silver Glitter Paste and the Lace Stickable Stencil. It gave a little sparkle to the cards. A little sparkle in the winter time, just warms things up don't you think?

Rose Cafe Misc Me!

Rose Cafe is such a versatile, beautiful line as Keri Babbit shows u s with her lovely project!

I love the nostalgic colors and soft, botanical images of the new Rose Cafe collection.  Since I knew I wanted to do an Autumnal spread this month, I edited the colors down to the greens, browns, and bold golds of this collection.  Perfect for my photos!

Autumn by Keri Babbitt

Autumn Misc Me by Keri Babbitt using Rose Cafe

I knew I wanted a flowing path of golden falling leaves to unify the entire two-page spread, so I kept the pattern of the background simple.  I simply cut the 12x12" Rose Cafe Garden paper into 12 3x4" cards, to create a top and bottom border for my row of 6 larger photos.

Autumn Misc Me by Keri Babbitt using Rose Cafe

For my subtle title, I spread the stickable stencil letters across the top three paper cards.  I smudged the Sugar ink pad over the top, followed by a spritz with the Gold Glimmer Spray.

Since the focus of this page was to get a really focused, seamless look, I added more unifying elements, like the row of Stamp Stickers on each photo, and the film strip border to ground the entire spread.

I spritzed the diecut leaves with Gold, Sugar, and Bronze Glimmer Sprays before laying them in a loose diagonal across the pages.  My finishing touch was a little typography fun with the new alphabet stickers - I love their size and design!

Mix & Match Madness AND Ombre!!

Good Morning, I just love mixing and matching Bo Bunny Collections, today along with sharing my layout with you I am going to be showing you how I created my Ombre effect photo mat using Bo Bunny inks and Stencils.

Explore Everyday by Tracee Provis

Explore Everyday Scrapbook Page Tutorial By Tracee Provis Bo Bunny Wildcard Souvenir 01

First we need to start by gathering up our supplies

Explore Everyday Scrapbook Page Tutorial By Tracee Provis Bo Bunny Wildcard Souvenir 02

I stuck my stencil to a piece of cardstock that was slightly larger so that I could trim down the edges afterwards. I gathered my ink pads, a piece of cut and dry foam and a water spritzer bottle.

Explore Everyday Scrapbook Page Tutorial By Tracee Provis Bo Bunny Wildcard Souvenir 03

Taking the white inkpad I pressed down onto my craftmat a couple of times to get some ink onto it I then repeated the same with the Blueberry ink pad. A small tip, always take care to put your ink apart slightly on the mat as this will stop any cross contamination of the ink colours on your pads.

Explore Everyday Scrapbook Page Tutorial By Tracee Provis Bo Bunny Wildcard Souvenir 04

Spritz a little water onto both colours and then mix together, I used my finger but you can do this with a paintbrush. This will then give you your palest colour which using the sponge you then sponge onto the bottom part of your cardstock through the stencil.

Gradually adding more Blueberry ink and water continue sponging small sections of the stencil until you reach the top. When you peel back the stencil you will see a beautiful ombre effect, that is simple to achieve. You can then cut to size and use on your layout.
