Trust Your Journey - featuring Penelope with Katherine

Hello BoBunny Fans,

I'm here with another scrapbook video using just the greens, browns and creams from the Penelope range of papers.

Trust your Journey by Katherine Sutton

I started my page with a bit of stenciling using the Serenity Stickable stencil and some Pentart silver stencil paste.  I then layered up lots of pieces of paper from the Penelope range.  This sort of page is great for all your off-cuts of paper.  Around my photo I added a small doily and some flowers cut out from the paper Abbey - my title also came from this paper.  I used one of the new birdcage Wooden shapes, some laser cut chipboard, bling and blossoms to add a little bit more sparkle.

When you cut out the flowers out from the Abbey paper you can cut into the petals and then shape them, using some of the double dot gems for the centre as the colours go perfectly - these are from the Double Dot Emerald Jewels pack.

I love the elements that you can cut out and the fact that the flowers (clover bouquet) and Emerald Flourish co-ordinate too.

I added some flicks from the pentart silver acrylic - you just water it down a tiny bit so you can flick it across your page and it gives a really nice metallic shimmer to your page.

To see the full process with information about the supplies as I go please take a look at the video.

I love the colors and flowers from this collection. I've added a lot of flowers on my layout to frame the photo:

I've splashed some gesso on the background to create a fallout effect.

And I've added a lot of jewels:

Penelope and an Altered Art Frame with Katherine

Hi Everyone,

Katherine here with a fun project using one of the new chipboard frames from BoBunny and lots of papers from the Penelope collection along with a couple fun mixed media techniques.

I took the square chipboard frame which comes in pieces and then coated it with a layer of Eggplant Pentart Creamy Acrylic.  Once that was dry, I added Crackle Medium in a few places around the frame.  I then mixed my own "blue" using white, dark blue, jade and a bit of silver too, adding a coat to further distress the frame.  I then went around with some of the silver metallic wax paste, some greenish silver metallic paint mixed with a little bit of matching creamy acrylic paint!

Then I added papers to back of my frame which will hold a 6" by 4" photo, slotted my frame together and proceeded to decorate it with the Penelope papers.

In the Noteworthy sheet (Abbey) from this collection there are loads of beautiful blue peonies, I cut these out and snipped the petals right into the centre, then bent the leaves up and inked the edges, adding a pearl to the centre, for extra depth and texture.

Here you can see some of the layers of paint and the chocolate brown coat through the crackles.

The silver metallic wax paste is the perfect medium to cover some of the laser cut butterflies, and you can bend the wings up and they will hold their shape.  The wax also works beautifully on the wood veneers too.

I created little clusters of the flowers,  layering them up

Thanks for stopping by today!

Shadow Box Frame Holder featuring Penelope with Irit

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends! Irit is here today and I welcome you to my new craft tutorial made with a video tutorial.

Penelope Shadow Box with Irit Shalom

This shadow box is very easy to make and it can be used as a real gift box or as a gift card holder or even as a photo frame.
Just make one or many with the most gorgeous BoBunny new released Penelope collection as as you can see this project has no Mixed Media products or hard to get ones. On the other hand even if you only have this paper collection and a few BoBunny embellishments you can make this beauty in a really short time.
This is how it looks when opened:

One side is just the embellished side and it should be pretty flat if you want to close the box after all.
The  deep box side is embellished just a bit as we want it to be ready for the small gift or photo or whatever you wish to add inside.

As you can see the left inside has some depth, but not too much.

The box right side has the space for anything  you want to add  inside.

Here is another close- up to the left box side.
I used wooden heart shape, some hand cut from the cardstock flowers and a couple of die cut pieces (the parts of the larger die cut frame from Ever after cards dies.

The cover was embellished with the same hand cut flowers, die cut leaves and some paper and fabric flowers with the add on of the wooden birdcage and some rhinestones.

You can see all steps on this video link HERE:

And also the products list was added to the video, I add it here again  for the easier  future use.

Penelope collection 12*12'' cardstock: Moments, Abbey, Grace, Laugh, Live
Ever After card dies
Lovely Leaf dies

Thanks for being here with me today and for watching my video. I am still on my learning curve, but I think it's easy to understand tutorial and hope you would try to make the similar project some day.

Crackle Paste Wood Box Alter by Ulrika Wandler using BoBunny Penelope Collection

I started to alter the wooden box in two easy steps by using crackle paste primer and crackle paste.

I did some fussy cutting to get the pretty flowers and the wise words.  This is quite a small box, so I chose carefully the inside elements for maximum impact and visual appeal.

Cards Galore! Featuring Penelope with Elena

Penelope Cards Inspiration Post

Hello everyone! Today I've got many cards to share with you I made using Penelope collection.

This collection is so very beautiful, that it was challenging to stop and seize my creative process to just a few cards .

\
So I started with die cutting the frames

Penelope_Cards_Elena_Oct_31_1.JPG

Some of them I used as separate shapes, the others - I used only the negative shapes:

I also die cut the frame for my sentiment

Penelope_Cards_Elena_Oct_31_3.JPG

I also used the doily dies

I've added the flowers for my cards, and combined the fabric flowers with the flowers I cut out from the paper

Some of the cards are simple, but I like color combination they have, and the finished result was exactly what I had in mind.
