Hello BoBunny Friends!
It's Elena here today to share the layout I made using Once Upon a Lifetime collection. I chose this collection to highlight a trip I took with my family.
Though this collection seems to be primarily driven by a vintage/heritage theme for me, I decided to create a mixed media layout in lighter tones. I wanted to feature this photo of my two kids to remember this day of sightseeing. They had so much fun, but you can tell from the story this photo tells, they were absolutely exhausted!!
I started with applying gesso and modeling paste on my background and then misted those areas with glimmer color sprays.
I also stamped the butterflies images on the patterned papers and cut them out for added depth.
I fussy cut the flowers and arranged my paper layers.
I like the soft pastel tones and used them for accent color and additional layers for my layout.
Thanks for popping by the blog today! Come see us again soon!
Elena

Designer's Choice-Serendipity and Pentart with Ayumi
[You're beautiful] mixtmedia layout By Ayumi Iwashita

Photography:Studio Petit Pas

First, prepare white paper which is water resistant.
I will put a glimmer mist there.
Overall spread in the mist of water.
Next, prepare the frame.

Coating the frame all over with the white gesso, and when it is dry, brush on the Glimmer Spray.

I painted the Tutu and Mint Glimmer Spray colors with the brush in the same way.

When the mist dries, I spread a bit of these three Pearlescents in strategic spots for extra shine.

Next, I will decorate using pictures and pattern paper.

Add 3D Balls and 3D Powder to give a few small patches of texture.

Then I sprayed Mint Glimmer Spray on the 3D textures.

Finally it is completed with well placed touches of stamping!

Thanks for joining me today.

Enjoy your scrappy day!

Fine Art and Mixed Media with Katherine
Hello everyone, welcome to another Fine Arts Friday. Today I have re-purposed an old frame that had seen better days.
Katherine Sutton - Life is a Journey
The collection I used for this project was Serendipity - the feathers, butterfly and chipboard are all from this range, the colours also co-ordinate really well with some of the Pentart acrylics. I used lots of the Pentart crackle medium - I love this product, as you create your paint layer below, then add some of the medium, once it's dry you paint over the top and all the cracks appear - it works well on paper as well as wood.
For the base I used a square of Treetops which has a beautiful pink dot on it and stuck this to the base of the frame. I then used dark blue, antique gold, light green and pink creamy acrylics - I added pea sized amounts to a brayer and rolled it onto the paper. I added some white gesso over the top and a little bit of the glamour metallic rich gold as well.
I painted the whole of the frame gold using the antique gold acrylic, then added some patches of crackle medium and then I went over the top with white gesso. I did add a little bit more in the areas where you could see the gold still - a white acrylic would have worked better in terms of coverage. I then used the flower fun stencil to create some swirls with the 3D Texture Paste, and also added some areas of crackle medium on top of the paper inside the frame. I used one of the large blush dahlia flowers and altered the colour with some white gesso. I then added bits of embellishment from the Noteworthy and chipboard collections.
I also added some bead paste at the base of my flower, and covered it with rich gold glamour paint, you can also see the mandala die cut peaking out behind the flower and some of the 3D Balls which I coloured with bronze glimmer spray and more rich gold. I also added little bits of the greenish silver glamour paint - applying it with my finger in areas around the frame.
You can see the layers of paint and the crackle effect on both the wood and paper, as well as a little bit of sparkle from the sugar glitter paste.
In the top corner I added a banner from the Noteworthy collection and a smaller one from the layered chipboard.

Down by the Sea and fun mixed media goodies with Emmy
Hello BoBunny fans!
Emmy here today sharing a brand new layout using the lovely Down by the Sea collection from BoBunny's newest release. And, since it is Tutorial Thursday on the blog today.
I've used may different mixed media products as well as different pattern papers, die cut embellishments and chipboard pieces to create this page.
Here are some close ups of my project:
To alter my background I used stencil with structure paste, some clear stamps and well placed dabs of confetti paste.
I added glitter and confetti paste to some of my embellishments to make them sparkle, and to give more of a widespread feel of bubbles, or sand on the page. Additionallly, I ran a sewing machine without thread on the needle on some of the edges of the layout. I think this gives ti even more texture and style.

Mixed Media Layout with Merry & Bright!
Hello crafty friends today I am sharing a Mixed media project highlighting the Merry and Bright Collection with Double Dot mixed media.
This is the full view of the canvas, this canvas layout went together smoothly. Some just fall into place. The background paper was my inspiration for the deer in front of the Christmas tree. I first distressed the edges of the 12 X 12 paper then adhered it to the canvas using Mod Podge, once that was dried I then proceeded with creating the snow & the stars in the sky.

The bottom and the top of the canvas I used the Cascade stackable stencils using a heavy media gel and sparkling compound, Once they dried I had fun playing with the DoubleDot glimmer sprays. While that was drying I used Double dot Pearlescents to both of the trees, framing the photo with a distressed piece of pattered paper and cutting out the deer. I distressed around the deer with chalk ink. Once everything was dried I then began to layer the elements on to the canvas.
Patterned Paper: Merry & Bright
Noteworthy: Merry & Bright
Chipboard: Merry & Bright
Layered Chipboard: Merry & Bright
Stackable Stencils: Cascade Stickable Stencils
Essentials: Gesso (white)
Stamps: Holiday Icon
Pearlescents - Brilliant Blue, Tutu, Gold, Silver
