Cards with Sparkle!

Hello Everyone!

Every girl needs a bit of bling and most certainly, a little bit of bling on a card, goes a long way!!
The Glimmer Sprays are also a great way to add some sheen and shimmer to that special card.

"Hello" Card by Denise van Deventer

On this card I used the beautiful Bronze Glimmer Spray, along with the stickable stencils to create the backdrop for my centre piece die-cut and floral spray. I used a light patterned paper, so that the spray stencilling would really stand out.

This is a close-up of the stenciling and glimmer spray effect.  It just adds another pretty dimension to this card.

The second card I created is a Birthday card and again I used the Glimmer Sprays to add a lovely, little dimension of bling and lace border to this card. I used the Bronze first and then added some Gold over the top of that.

I used a stickable stencil to create the lace border. I love that it is crisp and detailed.

Lovely Layout with Jewels!

This beautiful layout highlights wonderful ways to embellish with BoBunny jewels. It's also a great example of mixing different paper lines.

Memories of You by Megan Gourlay

Memories of You by Megan Gourlay using Somewhere in Time & Candy Cane Lane

When I was little I can remember my Nana getting all dressed up for dinners and dances with a group of ladies that were all part of a charity called The Townswomans Guild.  I don't when this photo was taken and she's no longer here for me to ask but I still remember how beautiful she looked on those nights.

I wanted to invoke a bit of history with this layout so I chose the lovely vintage range, Somewhere in Time and matched it with the gorgeous yellows from Candy Cane Lane.  Yellow is not a color I'm drawn to usually but these papers kept calling me!

Memories of You by Megan Gourlay using Somewhere in Time & Candy Cane Lane

I've used a mixture of BoBunny blossoms, chipboard and jewel flourishes to embellish my layout.  To make the jewels and the flowers go further I have split them apart.  The jewels are perfect for doing that  - Ive separated the large black flourish into two pieces, and I have done the same with the smaller charcoal flourish.

The jewels come packaged with three flourishes and a bling flower, by separating them I still have some left over for another project!

Gorgeous Cards!

Hello, hello everyone! You are going to love these gorgeous cards today! So intricate and detailed...they will have you running to grab some paper and start some of your own!

Happy B Day You by Amy Voorthuis

When I saw I was designing in the stamp week I got really excited! I love stamping especially with the BoBunny stamps. The base of my card is made with the Coffee sheet from the Double Dot range this card has four layers.

I made this card for my husband he was born in 1971 don't you just love those circle number stamps?

Distressing the borders of the four layers is what I think makes it all look very shabby.

The flower with the hash-tag brad was handmade using the plain Kraft Gift bags. I took out my It Is Written stamp and just randomly stamped on my cut out circles. Then I sprayed them with water & gold glimmer spray and wrinkle my six circle {in three different sizes} up and you have a flower.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Passage, Antiquity, Evening Mist/Somewhere In Time
Double Dot: Coffee
Stamps: Stitches, It Is Written, You're Invited, Inline Alpha, Captured
Doilies: Small
Kraft Gift Bag: Plain
Kraft Wood: Clocks
Blossoms: Buttercup Bouquet, Denim Blue Zinnia
Brads: Somewhere In Time
Glimmer Spray: Gold, Sugar

Hello You by Amy Voorthuis

The design of this card is quite similar to my first card; it also has four layers. When I got my DT package with the Enchanted Garden collection in it, it was the first collection I cut into which is sometimes really hard to do. I cut out the butterflies first then I didn't look at it for a long time and they were laying all around my scrap room but now they finally have a purpose were it should be on a card.

The three squares are made with a Cheery Lynn Designs die. I stamped on the squares with the music stamp & stitch stamp, then I took out my stickable stencil and pasted on top of the squares then I finished it of with the mint, gold and sugar glimmer spray.

On the right side of the squares I stamped the largest Curly Q stamp and went over it with the butterscotch pearlescents pen to make little pearls.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Enchanted Garden, Pathway, Fantasy, Periodical/Enchanted Garden
Double Dot: Island Mist
Double Dot Jewels: Emerald
Stamps: Stitches, It Is Written, You're Invited, To The Point, Curly Q
Glimmer Spray: Gold, Sugar, Mint
Pearlescents: Butterscotch
Stickable Stencils: Brocade

Mix & Match Layouts

Alright BoBunny fans, we have a challenge for you! We are mixing and matching this week on the blog! So it's time to test your BoBunny knowledge, can you look at these layouts and name all the collections the designer has mixed and matched?? No Cheating! Ready go!

Remember - by Megan Gourlay

One of the things I love about scrapbooking is being able to mix and match different collections and brands.  Today I'm sharing a layout I have done of my Mum when she was about 5-6yrs old during the time she was Highland Dancing, and I've used The Avenues, Enchanted Garden and Somewhere in Time.  The muted shades of aqua, grey and cream work so well together I think!

I've randomly stamped on my background paper with an archival ink because its waterproof, and then used my fingers to blend together pearlescents and glitter paste!

I've also used those gorgeous pearlescents to create the 'pearl' centres on my flowers and then added a lot of fussy cutting from various patterned papers to create a cluster of elements.  Some elements are popped up to create depth.  I have journaled behind my photo some of the stories Mum has told me about her days dancing, those stories need to be kept!

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Spellbound / Enchanted Garden; Antiquity, Chrononaut, Timeless / Somewhere in Time; Clocks, Doors, Stripe, Trellis / The Avenues
Noteworthy: Somewhere in Time
Stamps: It is Written, Distressed Textures
Pearlescents: Sugar, Island Mist
Glitter Paste: Gold

Everyday Life Layouts Round 3

This is what we like to call round 3 of everyday life. So many precious moments captured and preserved!

Let Me Take A Selfie by Lynn Shokoples

When I saw the theme for Everyday Life I immediately thought of my daughter Nicole and her rescue pup Jackson. Almost daily she sends me a selfie of the two of them. I smile and laugh at the fun she has. I'm beginning to think  that the dog knows when the camera comes out and smiles. I think he is getting use to selfies!! When I saw the "My Buddy" patterned paper from the Happy Tails collection, with the three photo frames I thought it was perfect for a few of the selfies. I did a mix of the Happy Tails and Modern Miss collection for my project. They both had such fun elements I could use. I love that BoBunny's collections mix and match so well. For the strips I did a combination of paper from the 6x6 paper pad and bits of washi tap and border strips from the Combo Stickers. For the title I combined the stickers from both the collections, I thought it made the title "pop".

I cut into the patterned paper and tucked the photo under the printed embellishments for more depth. Some stamping and some chipboard pieces finished off the frames.

Buttons are the best little embellishments to tuck by photos or to just group them together and make a cluster on your page. The Modern Miss 12x12 chipboard had all the days of the week, so I randomly placed them around my layout.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Fur Fashion, My Buddy, Paw Prints/ Happy Tails

The Usual by Irene Tan

I love capturing photographs of everyday life surrounding me. This is one that happens very often. Chloe and her grandma would fall asleep in the car whenever they are on a car trip. This is such a precious moment captured on film. I've used the "Somewhere In Time" collection in a feminine way to showcase this photograph.

This Is My Everyday by Romy Veul

Sometimes I can be really envious of our cats, as they spend most of their hours eating, drinking and sleeping and don't have to care about much else than those three things. When I found out about the theme of today's blogpost, I immediately knew I wanted to make a lay-out about our cats' good life. Happy Tails is still one of my favourite collections, as it's perfect for scrapping my pets. I used both the wonderful papers and some of the coordinating embellishments from this collection.

I thought the new wood frame with the text 'This is my everyday' suited the theme "Everyday life" really well. I used it to frame our cat Beertje and clustered most of my embellishments around the frame to make my photo the main focus of this lay-out. The other embellishments that I used on this lay-out include the 12 x 12 chipboard pieces, a layered chipboard sticker, a wood film strip and a cat from the Noteworthy pack.

Everyday Life Layouts

While scrapping, crafting, and preserving the memories of the big moments are an absolute must, have you taken time recently to just scrap something that happens in your everyday life?

This week our theme is everyday life. Share your favorite everyday life creations with us on the BoBunny Facebook page!

Scraps Of Everyday Life by Tracee Provis

As scrappers we record our lives through our pages. When I was asked to create with the theme everyday life I wanted to make something that represented the little snippets that make up my life. I always have the camera close to hand ready to capture those memories so this picture was a perfect fit for my layout.

I wanted to add some smaller pictures of the things my camera is always focused on so I printed them off and fitted them into the Kraft Wood film strip frame. I used one of the stamps from the Distressed Textures stamp set to create some pattern to my Sugar Dot background paper and I also stamped over some of the patterned paper too.

The page itself was made from mostly scraps of Bo Bunny collections. I have a special box for them that sits on my desk, I love some of the irregular shapes that these scraps create and by adding some fussy cut elements and stickers it brings the whole layout together.

En bil till (One more car) by Ulrika Wandler

My everyday life consists of driving my car to the train station in the morning going to work, and then of course home again in the evening.
When the weather is good I take my bicycle, but all winter long I drive my car!

The perfect papers and embellishments for my photo come from Our 'Lil Monster. I love the bright red color in that collection! Almost as much as I love my red car! ;-)

The bar code is from a BoBunny package and I thought it could represent the cost for buying a car... ;-)
But the car was of course more expensive than any BoBunny product...

Patterned paper: All-Star, Curiosity, Mischief/Our Lil Monster
Cardstock: Sugar Double Dot
Stickers: Our Lil' Monster Combo Sticker

Fur Ever Friends by Amy Voorthuis

I have to admit when I was asked to create a layout about my everyday life a lot of things popped up in my mind. But one thing the most & that's walking with our pup every night! Everyday around eight all four of us walk a hugh route in the park. Fibi enjoy's it so much because she can walk free.

This picture was taken when Kevin & Fibi where at the waterside just before she accidentally fell in :-))) and brrrr it was so cold!

The BoBunny blossoms are my favorite flowers to work with. The one with the paw print on it is partial handmade and partial BoBunny. The top layer I created myself with fabric which is my new addiction. The rest of the flowers are all BoBunny.

Love card by Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

This card about love. What is love? What is it? She quickly flies into our lives, just like a dragonfly - you do not have time to look back, and she's right in your heart! But it also is constant ... and it lasts as long as our clock is ticking - the heart ... This card about the fact that love is in our hearts always and every second!

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper:  Keepsake/Somewhere In Time, Endless Love/Head Over Heels, Periodical/Enchanted Garden

Hello card by
 Maria Potapovich (mellpellmell)

This card is very simple. I used stamps cut paper circles and vellum to reduce the level of "roughness" here to create the background. This card is made just to say hello.

Ah, yes! Here again, a lot of different colors of pens - I like these light hints of color!

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Dramatic/Modern Miss, Dot/PrimroseVintage Dot/Shadow
Doilies: 6.5in Medium
Jewels: Happy Tails

Fairy Card by Evgenia Petzer

It's no secret that I prefer dimensional cards, one easy way to get this effect is to stick the papers (layers) only in their middle and to leave the sides loose, you can see below the detailed shot and the doily has this effect and it brings extra air to my project.

Patterned Paper: Pixies, Enchanted Garden, Spellbound/Enchanted Garden

You Are Beautiful Card by Evgenia Petzer

What I absolutely love about the majority of BoBunny lines is that they have lots of papers for fussy cutting, it really provides you with so many options, you can create your own fairy tales with this line.

Kraft Gift Bag Layouts

Today is our last day of projects using the Kraft Gift Bags. I hope you enjoyed all the fun and fabulous projects our designers created. Today we are sharing layouts using the Kraft Bags. You can use them as a photo mat, or layer them, so many possibilities. Have you thought of some fun ways to use the Kraft Gift Bags?

Sweet Memories by Agnieszka Bellaidea

There are so many ways to use Bo Bunny gift bags but for today's project I used them as a place to hold more photos from the very same event my main photo from the page was taken. I also added more elements from our Kraft Collection, brads, chipboard and doilies.
This time I mixed elements from 4 collection but my main focus was on Somewhere in Time. This is such a special collection and I believe we all will use it in the future.
Talking about a future - are you also very excited about new products from Bo Bunny? I wonder what you like the most, I can not wait to use new stencils on my projects! How about you?

I always like to add stitching on my pages and this time I did it too matching colors with the rest of my page.
Below you can see my "pocket" holding more photos.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Somewhere in Time, Chrononaut, Elegance / Somewhere in Time ; Periodical /Enchanted Garden ; Clocks /The Avenues

Kraft : Kraft Gift Bag

My Girl by Kaori Fujimoto

I used BoBunny's paper gift bag as a pocket. For closing part, I used brads and string. To open the pocket, there is a tag.

I think pink and natural beige match well. I selected Head over Heels collection as a background.
I add a little pink water paint to the paper to give a soft feeling.

42 by Denise van Deventer

This is really a day that I will not forget easily, my 42nd birthday.  Not only was it my birthday, but my brother-in-law's wedding day! So 2 celebrations in one day! I really went to town on my outfit and also had my hair done, which I simply loved.

I folded my Kraft bag in half and then stuck it down to create a matting for my photo, as well as a little pocket for my journalling! At 42, one certainly has learnt a thing or 2 about life and so this little pocket contains a few of these learned things, as well as my thoughts about being 42.

I did some mixed media effects on my background and I am always so chuffed at how thick the BoBunny papers are and how well they respond to the mixed media. I also made use of some The Avenues chipboard numbers and they match perfectly in, with the Somewhere in Time Collection!
