Mix & Match Happiness!

Hello friends! Lisa Gregory here today with a fun mix & match layout for you!

I love looking through my stash of BoBunny Collections and see what collections can be mixed together. On this layout there are papers from 4 different collections, but you would never know. They match beautifully! I wanted to go for a quilted look, so I mimicked a Nested Prairie Points edging by simply cutting the squares into triangles and slightly stacking them around the page. I did some stamping and faded water coloring as well.

Dream

The flowers were die cut, stacked and topped with jewels. Blue die cut leaves and Noteworthy Flowers were tucked underneath.

Dream

The frame reminded me of a mosaic frame I have in my home. It was perfect for this photo of my kitty. I picked out papers that matched his eyes. They are golden globes. I tucked a small doily underneath.

Dream

I backed the note worthy with some corrugated cardboard to give it some height, then topped it with chipboard and button. More flowers were tucked on the end of the Happiness sign...

Dream

Thank you for joining me today for the Mix It Up Layout I created. I hope I inspired you to start mixing your collections.

Gorgeous, Glistening Glimmer Sprays!

Hey BoBunny fans! It's Lisa here today sharing a layout using simple techniques for your glimmer misting pleasure! I am the type of scrapper who enjoys using lots of pattern and layering within my papers so I tend to use my mixed media work as an enhancement to my page rather than the focus.  I love the pattern and color of the Wild Card Billiards paper. As you can see it's a busy pattern. I added a messy but not overpowering splattering to the background with a combination of Bronze and Frost mists.

Tune Up - Lisa Novogrodski

I just dip my paintbrush directly in the mist bottle and then splatter or I water it down a bit by spraying some on a craft mat and then spritzing with water. I also push my stamp into it on the mat and then stamp.

I tore a piece of cardboard and peeled off a layer then misted with the Bronze Glimmer Mist then just dabbed a bit of red acrylic paint here and there. The Bronze mist is my favorite color so far. What's yours?

I don't mind a bit of splatters on my photo especially if I'm using something vintage. I also like it to hit my flowers and leaves to make them more interesting!  I also love the contrast between the grungy cardboard, masculine photo and the sparkly jewels. BoBunny has it all!

I've got a few more close ups on my blog. Stop by and take a peek.

I always love to work with sketches, the October sketch is perfect for me as it leaves things quite "open" to interpretation. I love multiple photo sketches too and this was my starting point with the sketch. When I saw the Wildcard wood pattern paper it immediately brought the phrase "Walk the Plank" to mind. These photographs of my Granddaughter on a recent visit to the Golden Hind were a match made in heaven for this collection and this sketch.

I cut an anchor shape from Sugar cardstock and covered it with Silver Glitter Paste, I then let it dry and painted over some parts with the Silver Pearlescents for an extra sparkle. I also added the Peralescents to the ships wheel to represent rivets, they are so easy to add to your projects and dry just like little pearls.

I used one of the frames from the That's Life Wood Shapes pack directly onto my photo to highlight my Granddaughter at the ships wheel. The Jewel Swirls are great for adding movement to your pages.

Wild Card Tissue Box Holders

Fashion AND function! What a fun way to dress up those tissues!

Tissue Box Holders by Amy Voorthuis

Hi BoBunny Fans! It's Amy here today, to share with you, my wild card photo tutorial.

I've been dealing with a huge cold the last three weeks. I thought why not make my Tissues a bit nicer to look at since I've been using them 24/7?!

I really love how masculine the Wild Card collection is! Now I will show you how to make these holders to keep your tissues in.

First you start with having all your tools together, two pair scissors, bone folder {or score pal}, ruler, sticky tape, some other kind of glue you prefer, a pencil & a eraser.

Then you trace the outside of the box with your pencil, the size of the box is for a normal pack of tissues or Kleenex! The biggest rectangle is 2,15 inch by 4,25 inch & the ones next to it are 0,95 inch by 4,25 inch the rest of the sizes are 0,95 inch by 2,15 inch.

Now it's time to fold the pencil stripes with your score pal or bone folder and decide which side of the paper you want to use. For me it doesn't really matter because I will use papers from the Wild Card collection.

Use some sticky tape on your fold parts and you can make a box now, you see I used just two pieces of sticky tape the rest I will glue down with my glue roller.

There is your box

You also need to make one more piece that you can cut up if you want to use patterned paper like me.

So you can trace that with a pencil too, I used two different patterned papers for both large pieces, shown in the picture below.

The backside of my tissue boxes, you can alter them anyway you'd like with any kind of BoBunny papers that makes your heart happy.

I hope you all like my tutorial and you will give it a try on making these. They are super easy and a lot of fun. If you want to know more on how to make these you can visit my blog and ask me or just ask me here on the BoBunny blog I will answer asap.

Wonderful, wonderful Wildcard! This fun line is perfect for all those guys in your life!

Remember This Misc Me by Irene Tan

Remember This 12x12 Misc Me by Irene Tan using BoBunny Wild Card Collection

Hello BoBunny fans! Today is my turn to share another Misc Me project with you all. This time, I've been assigned to use the masculine and fun "Wild Card" collection. The design and colors in this line are perfect for these photographs of Ryan while he is creating a model car.

After picking out my choice of pocket designs for these two pages, I used the Misc Me Wild Card Journal Contents to layout the combinations. Then, I used some papers from the "Wild Card" 6 x 6 paper pad to create layers in some of these pockets. Of course, I can't stop here without adding some stamping using BoBunny's new "Captured" stamp.

To add colors on these wood gears, I've used BoBunny's new pearlescents and glitter paste. The pearlescents are a great medium to add colors to these wood surfaces. Simply apply a few dots on its surface and spread it out using a brush or palette knife. For textures, I've applied some gold glitter paste on them.

In the closeup above, I used the new BoBunny stencils and sprays to add details and create layers. I've had so much fun playing with BoBunny's new line of mixed media products. They are so easy to use and perfect for most projects!

More Mixed Media Fun!

If you've ever been a little nervous to try mixed media, now is the time to do it! Our mixed media is so much fun, you won't want to miss out!

My Guy LAYOUT - Romy

Today it is my turn to show you a layout that I made using a mixture of different mixed media. I have to admit that I do not make mixed media lay-outs very often, because I'm often a bit scared that something will go wrong. But while I was working on this layout with the new glitter pastes, inks, stamps and sprays from BoBunny, I realized that working with mixed media is actually a whole lot of fun! They can give your layouts just that little bit extra and are also perfect for giving layouts a vintage twist.

On this layout I used the wonderful Wild Card and Souvenir collections and some mixed media to make a masculine layout about my boyfriend.

My Guy Scrapbook Page by Romy Veul using BoBunny Wild Card Collection

The mixed media accents on this layout are mainly in the corners of my layout. In each corner I did some stamping and used the Stickable Stencil 'Brocade' with the glitter pastes and gesso to create a nice pattern. I also sprayed with the Bronze glimmer spray for a glitter finishing touch.

I also used the Glimmer Sprays to add color to the wood embellishments, so they would match the colors of my layout better.

In the middle of my layout, I did some paper layering with papers in different colours and with different patterns. I also layered some chipboard pieces on top of each other and clustered them in the corners of my photo.

Stickable Stencils: Brocade

Have a great day!

Mix and Match 12 x 12 Misc Me

A little of this, a little of that, put it together and what do you get? A fabulous 12 x 12 Misc Me project!

Keri gives some fabulous tips about working with multiple collections, and how to bring them all together for a complete project.

Where We Live by Keri Babbitt

For this month's Misc Me project, my challenge was Mix & Match...I love to do that!

So, when I sat down to create this project, I challenged myself to use at least two items from EVERY collection in BoBunny's new release.  To refresh your memory, this new release includes two holiday lines: Candy Cane Lane & Christmas Collage.  An elegant/botanical line called Madeleine. A travel line, Souvenir.  And a masculine/games collection, called Wild Card.  So, how did I combine all these together?  Take a look:

Where We Live Misc Me by Keri Babbitt using BoBunny Mix and Match Collection

For inspiration, I chose nature snapshots that my husband took of the yard of our new country home.  What a treat to see his love of nature captured through the camera lens!  To lay the foundation for this Mix & Match challenge, I began with color palette.  My collection of nature photos feature a palette of magenta, lavender, blue, and green, so I took this as my starting point.

Choosing products based on color palette is a great way to use leftovers and themed collections.  Start by searching for colors and images that might work in a nontraditional way.  Here, I chose the elk/deer sticker from the Christmas Collage collection.  It is generic enough to not scream "Christmas", and is perfect for my country/outdoorsy theme.  Behind it, I chose a woodgrain paper from the Wild Card collection.  The green/magenta palette of Madeleine came right into play next, along with carefully selected green/magenta stickers from Candy Cane Lane.

That's four collections down, and one to go.  The Souvenir collection, with its map paper and camera/film motifs, fit right in.  Since this page is about our little "place on the map", I used the map paper for the 2nd page background.  And the retro camera/film diecut complemented the idea that all these photos are a rare peek into seeing our yard through the lens of my husband's camera.

For my final touch of embellishing, I added wood accents, misted with the amazing new gold Glimmer Spray.  The gold-star flower is a great neutral from Candy Cane Lane, as is the "lucky" button from the Wild Card collection.  I topped it off with a pop of color - brads from Souvenir.

So there you have it!  I hope this project gives you some inspiration and motivation to use up some leftovers, and mix collections in a way you might not have thought of before.
