Double Dot Madness - A Handmade Card Trio with Elena

Hello BoBunny Friends,

It's me Elena here again to share a full set of cards I made using the a bunch of my most favorite BoBunny Essentials, and of course lots of brightly colored Double Dot papers!

Floral_Cards_Essentials_Elena_Feb27_Photo1.JPG

I used only four sheets of paper and mixed the patterns to create the background and the layers on my cards.  This makes it economical, and keeps all the elements in the card set nicely coordinating.

Floral_Cards_Essentials_Elena_Feb27_Photo1.JPG

I've used mainly the papers from Double Dot Vintage collection. But I also made some die cutting and die cut the doilies and the rectangles.

Floral_Cards_Essentials_Elena_Feb27_Photo3.JPG

And, just for fun,  I created my own embellishments using Doodle Flowers stamps and and white vellum. I heat embossed the images with golden and ivory powders.

. . . . then fussy cut the images on the line.  They add such a nice golden glow to the finished cards.

But the main focus of my cards are those beautiful flowers with a vintage button in it, it has a crackle surface even that so perfectly matches the gold touches in my homemade embellishments.

To add the color to the heart chipboard pieces, I used the apricot heat embossing powder without using any primer on the raw chipboard before

To surround my flower cluster I've added the crochet flowers from the same Double Dot flower pack.

The Double Dot Flourish Jewels were added as a final touch to my cards.

I hope you have liked my cards and that next time you might just  reach for all your Double Dot essentials and also give a try to the stamping to make your own embellishments.

Penelope Altered Wooden Printer's Tray Project - with Irit

Hello My Dear Crafty Friends!
It's Irit here and today I am going to share my altered wooden printers tray that I made with BoBunny new and most gorgeous Penelope collection.

Dream- A wooden altered tray by Irit Shalom

This 12*12'' wooden tray was already embellished once and was dirty white.
I decided to make the new tray as my small tribute to our family trips to some not so known countries The first step was to paint it to dark brown with the touch of gold.
I used Pentart Primer for Dekor paint as the first layer and then painted with brown Dekor paint and added some top touches of Creamy Acrylic Baroque Gold and now the tray was ready to be embellished.
The printers tray is a kind of Project Life type "blank canvas". So I decided to make " a page" from our trip to Albania.
I am just going to show our own photos and a bit of the country around.
The colors of Penelope collection where just the perfect fit to my photos that were mainly natural, blue and green.
Each cardstock piece was cut to fit the tray slot and then embellished with die cuts, hand cuts, wooden shapes, flowers and rhinestones.
Here are some close- ups to the slots:

As you can see  I also embellished over the tray to add more interest and more texture to the simple designs of the slots.

All wooden and chipboard shapes were painted with the same Baroque Gold Acrylic paint.

Small die cuts were added as  the extra over the tray embellishments.

Here you can see the depth of the tray and the imperfect painting inside the tray that was made on purpose to imitate the old wood.

BoBunny flowers and die cuts made the most beautiful edge spot on the whole tray.
Here is the full BoBunny and Pentart long product list:

The People I Love-Layout features Penelope with Rhonda

Masculine Page featuring Penelope with Rhonda

BoBunny Penelope Masculine Layout designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

Greetings, it's Rhonda here today to welcome you to the blog. I have a scrapbook page featuring the lovely Penelope collection which is simply gorgeous and rich in color and design! As this line features pretty blue florals, I thought it was perfect for a masculine page.

BoBunny Penelope Masculine Layout designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

I used the Abbey sheet of patterned paper and cut several flowers and elements to layer into my collage. The featured scalloped banner became my photo mat. I opted to use a shaped photo to accent the design.

A variety of die cuts and fussy cut embellishments are layered into a collage using dimensional adhesive foam. Accents of DoubleDot Jewels and Flourish Jewels add the perfect amount of bling.

I added layers of torn papers to the left to give the page some interest, yet keeping the main "Penelope" paper design as the design feature.

Happy Holidays-Advent Calendar featuring Carousel Christmas by Angela

Hi Everyone,

It's Angela again and I would like to show you a special project for this Christmas using the beautiful BoBunny Carousel Christmas collection.

Advent Calendar by Angela Tombari using BoBunny Carousel Christmas collection

I know, it's only September, but it's never to early to start playing with the amazing products of this magical period of time. The holidays are coming up before we know it.

Moreover, this is an advent calendar and it has to be ready for the beginning of December!

It could seem to be complicated to create, but it's not. You only need a bit of patience and loving fussy cutting!

For making it I've used a precision knife and cut all around the numbered Christmas balls.

I added a gold bow on each one and embellished the Calendar with the die-cuts from the same collection.

To add a little gift  underneath, it works nicely to adhere the top sheet on another paper adding a spacer in between.

A simple spacer can be made with a piece of cardstock measuring 12" x 1/2", scored on the length every half inch and folded on itself, like a tube with a square section and glued all around.

The last touch was to add is this adorable pink trim with puffy pom-poms, which also helped me to cover the border and hang the calendar to the wall.

That's all for today, I hope to have inspired you and thanks for stopping by.
Love,
Angela

Life in Color Altered Mixed Media Canvas with Irit

Hello my Dear Crafty Friends!

Welcome to my new BoBunny post. Today I am going to share a pretty big altered Mixed Media canvas.  I am still waiting for my new BoBunny collections to come from the US and thanks to our very " fast" postal service it will take  a few more days or even weeks. So I decided to make a project with the Life in Color collection using BoBunny products which are just perfect for any Mixed Media project.
"Trust Your Journey" an Altered Mixed Media Canvas by Irit Shalom

The base was made over the flat 13.5*9.5'' canvas, but if you don't have any you  can use a thick chipboard piece as this is just a base for those chipboard rectangles glued over the canvas.
I used old recycled chipboard and just arranged them to fit the canvas size. Four brads were added in each and every  piece,  the very simple small craft store brads for the background. The larger, decorative ones are from BoBunny.
Then the background was first painted with black gesso, misted with bronze spray and waxes were added randomly.
Three BoBunny stencils were used with glitter paste mostly on the outer spots of the project with large clock added partly in the middle.
I used a couple of chipboard sets for the main spot in the middle as the background and the sentiment.
Die cuts were made from BoBunny Double Dot Cardstocks and painted to this vintage patina look with a combination of Pentart Paints.  BoBunny flowers were painted and misted too to achieve this metallic look (originally green).
Now let me show the whole project again and then to show you some close-ups.

This is the central spot from the front:

And here how it looks from the side:

 And my altered flowers :

 More close-ups to background:

On this photo you can see the white stamped background and 3D powder mixed with gel paste and acrylic paint.
Also you can see the gold transfers, stenciled part and different mediums over the background.

I hope that you liked my Mixed Media project today.  Everything here is BoBunny or Pentart, except the recycled chipboard and small brads.  So you don't need to scroll a lot of shops, but to go to BoBunny shop and to get whatever you need to make the similar project.

Weekend Adventures and Cardmaking with Irit

Hello my Dear Crafty Friends,

Welcome to my first May BoBunny inspirational post.  We are doubling the fun today so you can enjoy two Paper Craft Saturday blog posts today.  Enjoy!

Today I am going to share four cards made with the very same, new and just released Weekend Adventures collection.

Weekend Adventures Cards by Irit Shalom

Weekend Adventures is the most versatile collection. You can scrapbook all your outdoors adventures such as BBQ, hiking, picnic, road trips and just outdoor play. You can use it for any party theme that is connected with one of these activities. And you can make cute themed and most general cards using this collection products with all other new released BoBunny and Pentart products.  I had such fun as I did this making my totally different cards for this showcase.

The two cards here are made as my themed cards:

My two other cards were made as more general cards and can be used for more occasions.

Now lets see the techniques I used  to make each  single card.
Life is Sweet card is the simple card made with BoBunny Weekend Adventures 12x12'' cardstock, Double Dots cardstock for matting, Noteworthy  scalloped die cut as the front image and add-ons of chipboards and one single layered chipboard.
This is a beginners' level card that can be made by someone at any skill level-even by kids.

Congratulations card is the second non themed card and more complicated to make.
I used the same 12x12'' cardstocks with Double Dot cardstock for matting and for die cutting and arranged multi layered card with add-ons of chipboards and layered chipboards. The sentiment was die cut and layered one over another for more interest.

And now let's see the themed cards.
The first themed card has a Mixed Media background that was made with BoBunny new stencil and Pentart new Stencil paste. When it was totally dry I added the die cut frame, a chipboard strip and arranged the chipboard sentiment over the die cut doily.

The last card is just Hello card made with different colors, but in the same way. Few background layers were made with patterned and Double Dot cardstock; some die cuts were added over the front.
The edges were painted with new BoBunny Glitter paste and some chipboards were added as  embellishments.

Thanks for dropping in today!  I hope you enjoy the cards and even more, I hope you join us again tomorrow!

Thanks!
 Irit
