Hello BoBunny Fans!

It's Denise here today to share an art journal board, using the pretty and gorgeous Petal Lane and Pentart Lasur.

Art Journal Board by Denise van Deventer using BoBunny Petal Lane and Pentart Lasur

The first thing I did was to apply 2 layers of the Pentart Lasur to my board. This gave it a great stained look.  Thereafter, I used stickable stencils and crackle paste, along with distress inks to create the background and the word "create".  Here's a closer look.

Once I had applied the crackle paste, I allowed it to dry and then I used distress inks and blended the colours together. I then fussy cut a lot of elements and layered them up and added lots of white acrylic spray and splodges.

I really took inspiration from the gorgeous circles and artsy bits in the circles, from the patterned paper.  I just know that I will be back to use more of those gorgeous circles.

This little board is going to go  up on my wall in my craft room to inspire me and also remind me to try new things and be inventive.

I hope you will check out the Petal Lane papers and also be inspired.

Have a super day and we hope to see you back tomorrow.

Beautiful Bella Rosa Mixed Media!

Hi, it's Katherine with a mixed media page using the beautiful Bella Rosa papers. I went with a romantic page using the pinks and reds in this collection and some photos of a Chateau we stayed in on holiday (just an apartment, not the whole thing!)

Bellissima by Katherine Sutton

Bellissima Scrapbook Page Katherine Sutton using BoBunny Bella Rosa Collection

I started by covering a large area of the page with the crackle paste primer, let that dry and then added the white crackle paste - I used quite a thin layer of the primer so I got fine crackles.  Once that had dried I then used some of the gold glimmer mist, it is a really beautiful soft gold colour,  I used a paint brush to spread it all across the crackle paste and then added a couple more spritzes to deepen the concentration of the colour in a few areas.

Whilst my paint layers are drying I get to work on the mats for the photos.  I used the 6 by 6 pad as my photos were only 3 x 4's.  I also added a few of the die cuts from the Love Squared dies - I trimmed the centre out of the largest die so it would reveal some of the layers of paper underneath.  I  distressed the edges of all my pieces of paper, and added in some flowers and a wagon wheel from the Bella Rosa Noteworthy elements, as well as a bit of gold net and florists twine.  Once the mist part of my page was dry I added a layer of stamping using the It is Written stamps - I didn't use a stamp block, I covered the acrylic stamp very roughly in ink as I wanted a worn look to the image and then arched the stamp as I printed so it gives a very rough impression of text on the page.

You can see all the different layers of paint, mist and stamping as well as the papers and the roses from the Bella Rosa Noteworthy elements.

For my title I used one of the Bella Rosa stickers and distressed the edges and piled it up on some of the papers I had used around the photos.

To add a bit of sparkle to the flower I used some of the sugar glitter paste, just on my finger, to give an iridescent shine to it.  The word "Love" is from the Love Squared die set and you can see the largest frame from this collection - I cut the centre out.

This shows all those beautiful delicate crackles that you get with the paste and a bit of the shimmer.

Take A Hike With Misc Me!

Hi BoBunny fans! Today I will be sharing some 12 x 12 Misc Me pages with you using the fabulous Take A Hike Collection, so lets get started.

The Great Outdoors by Tracee Provis

Ever year we hire a little cottage by the sea, there are lots of trails and coastal paths to explore so I thought I would create an album of our adventures.

The Take A Hike collection is perfect for documenting outdoor walks, and I cut out 3 x 4 journaling cards on the Trails sheet. I cut just the paw on the bear card then I slipped my picture of the nature trail sign in behind and it looks like he is holding on to it for me.

I layered up some papers along with a Misc Me Pocket Square (that I cut the edges off) and then added some journaling. As you can see by the date I am starting with some older photo's in this album.

I cut the compass from another of the Pocket Squares, there are usually more than one of each of the cards, so I still have another to use in its entirety. I then layered over a title that I cut on my silhouette.

I used the 4 pocket page protector for my next page and in each one I created like a mini scrapbook page.

I cut out the frame that is on the fishing sheet and I wanted it to fill my pocket but it wasnt quite big enough so I attached it to a 6 x 6 piece of vellum and popped it in. I sneaked in a butterfly that I cut from the Butterfly Kisses Collection. Once again I cut the Wild and Free title on my silhouette.

You can also use your mixed media products in your pockets, here I took the Summertime Stencil and added some crackle paste clouds to my papers after it was totally dry I then added it to my page protector.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me today, I will be back soon to share more of the pages in this album.

Marvelous Mixed Media Layout!

Hi BoBunny fans today I am here with a simple layout using the bright and beautiful Believe Collection, I teamed this with a few of BoBunny's newest mixed media products with great results.

Live in the moment scrapbook page tracee provis bo bunny believe 01

I started by applying a thin layer of Crackle Paste Primer to my page, after allowing it to dry I then applied the Crackle Paste and watched the magic as the crackles appeared. once it was all dry I flicked a little Frost Glimmer Spray around.

I also created a glitter textured layer using some Licorice Glitter Paste, here is a small tutorial below of how I did it.

Live in the moment scrapbook page tracee provis bo bunny believe 02

Take your chosen stencil, I used the Flower Power stencil. A palette knife, or something to smooth your Glitter Paste on with and of course your pot of Glitter Paste.

Because the piece of patterned paper I was using was smaller than the stencil, I chose to use a glass cutting board to work on. This way the excess paste can be easily wiped up.

Spread the Glitter Paste over the stencil, then immediately remove the stencil and clean. Simple, you then have a glittery piece to use as a layer behind your photo.

I fussy cut some clouds from the Faith sheet, I used one of them to write some simple journaling on. I stamped a few random stars using a small star stamp from the Amen Stamp Set.

I fussy cut these flowers from another of the patterned sheets then blinged them up by adding a Double Dot gem or rhinestone in the centre. My title "Live In The Moment", is a ticket that I cut from the Divine sheet. The colours in this collection are so vibrant and happy they give every project you create a feel good factor.

Toy Box Frame & Decor!

Hi BoBunny Fans :)

Today I wanted to show you a table decor idea using Toy Box and Orange Glitter Paste!  They match each other so well :)  I also had a go at using the crackle paste and primer OM Goodness it is so easy!

Baby Love by Megan Gourlay for BoBunny using Orange Glitter Paste and Toy Box Collection

The first part of this was the frame.  I had picked this up in a bargain bin, and it was ugly!!  To transform it into something a sight more interesting I applied gesso first to get rid of the ugly pattern that was there.  I then applied the primer and when dry applied the crackle paste.  I left it over night to make sure it was dry and it crackled perfect!  It's super easy, either follow the directions on the packet or watch the YouTube Blip :)  you can't go wrong!

I fussy cut some of the nursery rhyme characters and popped some of them up with chipboard, layering them amongst brads and blossoms.

The second part of my table decor is this duo of wooden hearts.  I just painted over the surface with the Orange Glitter Paste, which was perfect for taking away the starkness of the white. Some alpha stickers were used to spell his name, and I picked out one of the silver rubons from the Sentiments set for the other heart.

The cute little duck was part of one of layered chipboard pieces - I have gently lifted her off and attached her to my wooden heart.

The cubes were super easy to decorate, just cut out all those blocks from the Imagine piece of paper :)

Thanks for popping by!

Crackle Paste Album Cover!

Soiree Crackle Album Cover by Lynn Shokoples

Good Morning Everyone! Today I am so excited to share a project using the new White Crackle Paste. This is one fun mixed media product and the possibilities are endless on how you can play with it!

Soiree Mixed Media Album Cover by Lynn Shokoples for BoBunny featuring White Crackle Paste

The first step in creating this album cover was that I laid out all my embellishments first on the black Misc.Me album. Then I traced around them to know the areas I needed to crackle. The next step was preparing the surface of the album with the Crackle Paste Primer. You need a small amount and it spreads like butter! After it dried, I took my palette knife and spread on the crackle paste. I don't suggest heating with a dryer, you just have to put it on and then watch it dry... patience is not my strong suit, lol. I let it dry overnight and was so anxious to wake up to see the crackle! I then took my Emerald Ink Pad and the Rough It Up Stamp and added some color and dimension. For some added shine, a little Glimmer Spray in Tutu did the trick. All that was left was tacking down the embellishments. A fun and easy project that looks complicated!!

I really loved how the black of the album snuck through the crackle. You are really going to have fun with this product! I can't wait to crackle something else!

Thanks so much for joining me today! Hope to see you on our Facebook page!
